  1. No, I?ve not finished. I love chinchillas, hot milky drinks and photographing road signs (but only the ones with red borders. I mean, no offence to the National Trust, but that brown shade does nothing for me.)
  2. Will the school have to operate this?
  3. Think about a pneumonia jab for ?30 at Lloyd?s or Superdrug.
  4. There?s a piece of plasticky paper tied to a post at Dunstan?s and Goodrich.
  5. 👏 (Oh, and Frankfito, I also pick up litter and smile at strangers. 😇)
  6. What about clearing leaves outside one?s house oneself, if it?s physically possible!? I don?t mean far from the gate, just six or so feet each way? I?d do it if I had a problem chez moi but I don?t. It?s reasonable and community minded ? maybe that?s why people don?t do it where the council can?t or won?t.
  7. There?s to be a week day daily closure on Dunstan?s from the junction with Mt Adon Park. The flyer on the post described it in a very council-type way so I can?t work out which way and for how long down the road it will extend.
  8. Superdrug in Streatham. You can book online. The chemist opposite A J Farmer may offer it, and the one near CoOp on Forest Hill Road does.
  9. There?s to be a week day daily closure on Dunstan?s from the junction with Mt Adon Park. The flyer on the post described it in a very council-type way so I can?t work out which way and for how long down the road it will extend.
  10. I use the BBC app which lists E Dulwich if you tap it in and I find it very reliable. (BTW The hour shown means there is x% of rain/snow etc until the end of that hour, not from it.)
  11. Same here ? lots of wood pigeons and the usual variety but very few sparrows and no blackbirds, robins, tits, jays despite their being lots of food in the feeders and on the top of the wall. 🤷‍♂️
  12. Re the consultation groups ? perhaps there?s too much consultation, or at least too much consulting of the usual suspects. Folk on these groups are often self appointed, fixated on one issue and think, just because they?re being consulted, their view is sacrosanct. Much better would be random consultation, perhaps with a gift voucher incentive to give one?s views, across varied localities in any one borough. Councils need input, obviously, but not from ?professional consultees?.
  13. Whatever you say, Mr(s) R, whatever you say. You?ve a bigger axe to grind than I have and it shows. I own no car so I?m putting my money where my mouth is. People in vehicles cause congestion, not councils.
  14. Thanks to too many people making journeys that could be made on foot or on a bicycle, this morning.....
  15. It?s not gridlock. It?s busy but it cleared. Hyperbole serves no one well. 🤷‍♂️ Can?t wait till the road is barriered!
  16. The Goodrich/Dunstans roundabout is now gridlocked on a daily basis. No, it isn?t.
  17. The Mapp and Lucia series by E F Benson
  18. I have every right, as do you and anyone else. We have free speech, remember. Thank you for your input, Mr Mussolini. 😃 PS I?m not telling, just asking politely. There?s a difference.
  19. The decorations outside were welcome and inventive but please take them down now. There?s already wisps of nylon cobweb (nasty for wildlife to eat or get snagged up in) and pumpkins in the street (nice for the birds, maybe, but also for rats). It?ll soon be time for Christmas (by which I mean December) so you?ll be able to dress up your fronts again soon.
  20. I liked the efforts made and hoped that more would have been involved. It looked just a bit half-hearted. A bit more welly would have brought more pedestrians down as an ?event?. As it stands, it?s good fun and welcome, just a little bit lacking. 🤷‍♂️
  21. I suppose it means no cases recorded in that particular area for a certain amount of time. Much of SE22 and its environs are now mid-blue; it?s not real time (there?s a 6 day delay or thereabouts).
  22. This article which quotes a study suggests ventilation is a good way of reducing the chance of infection. If you?ve got children at school I?d suggest asking the headteacher about opening (and keeping open) windows, even if it?s chilly. I?ve not seen any windows open at a couple of schools I?ve passed today. I know fewer pupils are there as it?s the holidays and they?re basically a kind of holiday club, but it?s still valid to want to reduce the chance of catching or passing on Covid (and flu, etc.) when schools are open to all again. 23. have you seen how many empty properties there are along Lordship Lane now ? You argue that a closed route (MG) has businesses that are badly affected. You also argue that the main roads, like LL, are busier because of the closures, yet on such an extra-busy LL, businesses are closing. Please show your working out.
  24. Could you imagine a seamless and efficient UK-wide bus/train/metro/coach/ferry system with a nationwide Oyster/touch payment system? If any party said it would do that (and their pledge looked workable) it?d get my vote...
