Pathetic old racist fart on Frogley road (Lounged)
Mark replied to Shu.Kurimu.Sensei's topic in The Lounge
NatashaD, you're obviously not so offended by that word that you use it, even after admin has removed it from other posts. Sorry to hear about the comment directed at you and your partner Shu.Kurimu.Sensei, I hope this thread help brings awareness to people about how others can be offended. Some people will of course say, "ohhhh, you can't say anything these day without offending someone can you?", yes you can, it's about social awareness, some people lack it but hopefully they'll learn. Except that SeanMacgabbhan of course he's a complete fuck ;-) -

Kens Barber shop on East Dulwich Road
Mark replied to dulwichdahlia's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
This is a weird thread, why do you ask everyone about this woman when most people would just go in and ask? Or were you the person who went in and asked questions on Saturday 2 August 2008? I reckon you should call them 020 7358 0707 and ask them yourself dulwichdahlia. Please tell us, are you his estranged lover? Are you the tax man? Are you the CPA? -
unfortunately I only have one blurred shot of the crowd: I can spot a couple of regulars in there.

I was once in the 190 bar in Knighsbridge, oak panelling, expensive cocktails etc etc. I went to the loo and decided to have dump and I have to admit it really stunk, badly. On leaving the cubicle someone else was about to come in so I was about to say "I'd give it a minute if I were you " but then I saw it was Wayne Sleep and for some reason I instinctively said nothing. The poor bastard just went straight in and shut the door. Makes me smile thinking about it.

vicksg Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > What's this - when's it on - sounds good. Details please! Dulwich Hamlet FC are playing Charlton Athletic tomorrow evening (Wednesday) The ground is next to Sainsburys, on the left as you look at it. I believe this game is part of the agreement when Dulwich sold Chris Dickson to Charlton, i.e. you buy our player and your Premiership team (at the time) gives us a game. It's ?8, tickets on the gate, 19:45 kick off and makes for an entertaining game, a short walk from home on a Wednesday evening. Dulwich play in Pink and Blue. http://www.dulwichhamletfc.co.uk

Hi Yes, a few of us are going to see Charlton play, see this thread http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,141696,151165,page=2#msg-151165. I'm meeting people in the Hamlets bar (inside the ground) at 7:30 And if we're lucky we might see Chris Dickson who made the move from DHFC in the Rymans League Division one South to a Premiership team in one jump. I believe you can buy tickets on the gate.

Who else is going to the Charlton game on Wednesday? http://www.dulwichhamletfc.co.uk/index.php I wonder if the Chris Dickson will be playing? Chris Dickson http://www.cafc.co.uk/uploads/Dickson_C-07.jpg

The guy in that fabric shop was so nasty to my obviously pregnant neighbour she had to leave the shop crying. Personally I avoid the shop because he sounds like scary chap. You can report people for threatening behaviour, the po-lice would treat that more seriously than dog pee on a public pavement. If there's a next time, tell your friend to pop into the nearby, soon to be closed, po-lice station and report him.

Big Hole (now a tree) in Goose Green Roundabout
Mark replied to bawdy-nan's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I see a tree has been put there, a palm tree. A short stubby one at that but I definately saw it this morning. Did anyone else see it? -
A tw*t vaporising "laser" gun for people who drop litter and other such crimes against humanity would be handy. Preferably pocket sized and have different sound settings (ray gun, big boom, silent etc etc)

If anyone's going to Camp Bestival this weekend, have a look out for East Dulwich's Joe Rowntree who's performing in the Comedy tent on Friday evening. He's the comp?re who runs the Gut Rocking comedy night upstairs at the EDT and is doing a solo performance so it'll be worth popping in and giving him some support. Also Bestival's run by Rob Da Bank who lives round here, but I've never got round to asking in the Sylvester Road sorting office why it says "Rob da bank!" on the side of the counter.

What is the Difference between Australians/Kiwis actually?

What is the Difference between Australians/Kiwis actually?
Mark replied to jrussel's topic in The Lounge
jrussel Wrote: > how are the two nationalities to be distinguished with regard to their activities and behaviour whilst living in London? You can't, they do the same activities and they behave the same. Anyway, I saw they were digging that hole in the middle of the Goose Green roundabout this morning ready for the tree to go in it. -
Agree about Bill Turnbull, his cheeseyness makes the other presenters appear visibly awkward, he'd be better off presenting a West Country Sunday morning church programme where both the the viewers would care about what he says.

dog owners/walkers in dulwich - doggy poo
Mark replied to sweetgirl's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I saw a white dog pooh the other day in Honor Oak. Around here I'd say Sylvester Road seems pretty bad for dog poo. -
Hi Hmmm, never heard of this one before, I'm going to have to ask the usual questions: Which browser + version are you using? Which operating system + version? Are you behind a firewall? When you see the blue line down the bottom of the screen, does it say "downloading xxxx"? If so, can you say what xxxx is? Also, try going to the home page http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/ and click on all six "Reset new posts" link cheers Mark

jrussel Please can you tell us what is underlying cause of this issue, it will help us understand what make you write such things to the mayor... Someone somewhere is in a druggy hostel, it's a tree's fault A children's hospital hasn't been built, it's a tree's fault An old lady with osteoporosis may break her leg, it's a tree's fault jrussel might fall off a ladder, it's a tree's fault Please put us out of our misery and tell what your real issue is? Were you refused planning permission for a house/extension/hospital because of a tree? Did Mr/Mrs Russell leave you for a tree? [edited once]

Please tell us what you're talking about.

Assume what you want jrussel. The report you linked to says "calls on the federal government to establish policies to expand transit options, make regional freight operations more energy-efficient, encourage energy-efficient retrofitting of homes and employ other strategies to decrease urban impact on the environment." There's no mention of getting rid of trees. And you started by saying trees cause drain problems, masonry damage, injure people and get in the way and now you're blaming them for carbon emissions. I agree that reduction of road traffic (especially personal transport) is a good thing but I don't agree that we should cut down trees to stop "suburban" types coming to East Dulwich.

jrussel Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > We need to be concentrating on making our cities denser, not filling up useful space with trees. No we don't that's just silly talk. We create a built environment where we can all live in decent surroundings and that includes having trees around make the place look nice.
