  2. Perhaps you could eat some asparagus beforehand for the extra smelly repulsion effect, but make sure you don't get it on your shoes as you shuffle round the garden, especially if you're a woman.
  3. I've had an email from the perpetrator who apologised and says he would not knowingly have walked past any left mess. Fair do's.

*quietness descends on the room again*
  14. It?s possible but very unlikely that they'll eat cats, they're more likely to eat guinea pigs and rabbits because they're easy to kill.
  15. and you can blame it on the government. They discussed urban foxes in the Lords and the fact that foxes trapped in North London were transported to South London and in a break between lots of guffawing Lord Whitty replied "...I believe that if I were a fox in north London, the leafy plains and delicious food in Dulwich would probably attract me without the need for me to be put into a cage". Here, here, I say. Or is it hear hear? You can read the transcript here Anyway, here's a DEFRA PDF document about what to do, I like the bit that says you can't use expolsives to control them.
  16. You can get 'mammal repellent' from a DiY store or a motion detector that will spray water when they come in the garden or get the council to trap it and take it away (expensive).
  17. Back to Chris Dickson a sec: According to the Charlton Athletic website following their signing "... Charlton have also agreed to play a pre-season friendly against Dulwich over the next two seasons." cool

  19. Page 2 the other side of the Rye towards Nunhead but not as far as the Nun's Head. Went there once, good food, good Guinness, comfy seats, open fire, we liked it. Still, I don't know if it's the best sunday lunch in South London that ratty was talking about.
  20. I'm getting a feeling that there might soon be a vote for the best Sunday lunch in East Dulwich on this website. As people have mentioned the Rye, the White Horse and Page 2 perhaps it could be the Best Sunday lunch in East Dulwich and close by. We might do it in two rounds, first round starting Monday for one week, list all the Sunday lunch places, people vote for their favourite and the top 3 (or 5) get through to the final which will be 4 weeks later. This will give people a chance to try out the various places. What do you think? Oh, and does anyone have a list of Sunday lunch places in and around East Dulwich?
  21. he's gone! "CHARLTON have completed the ?50,000 signing of Dulwich Hamlet striker Chris Dickson on a two-and-a-half-year contract." read more Good result on Saturday, we won 3-0
  22. Or we all try and work from home more, or cycle to work, or walk to Peckham Rye station to get the train.
  23. I did, you can see their reply in this thread
