  1. Think I will stick with Gambado's ;-)
  2. Ive not tried it..... everyone I know that has comments on the (lack of) cleanliness :-(
  3. I would second Russell, he is really good.
  4. What is the new regime?
  5. Was hoping to make this evening but my baby has been unwell this week, she seems to be back to normal now but we haven't had the all clear from Kings yet and I wouldn't want to risk me potentially passing something nasty onto pregnant women!! Have a great evening and fingers crossed I see you all at the next meet!
  6. My friend has text me back and says she hasn't had any problem with her Vibe with her two. She said her youngest does tend to be in the main section a lot as the eldest likes to walk but when he is in the back it's Been fine and not a problem... She def has the same model. Sorry can't be more help :-(
  7. Perhaps someone has the sport doubles kit and wouldn't mind you trying it. Alternatively John Lewis and Mothercare would be helpful. Another idea would be to contact Phil & Teds direct, their customer service is really good and may be able to help. Your welcome to try my doubles kit, it's the Vibe 2 so may be slightly bigger, the only obvious difference is the hood.
  8. Will ask my friend for you, she has a Vibe, her eldest is about to turn 3 and the youngest is 3 weeks older than I and a very big lad!! I've been out with her and both boys sleep and seem comfy in it x
  9. 3 1/2 is a good age to start, although they are not strong enough to ski all day this young.
  10. Anyone want 2 tickets for tonights show, starts at 7, pm me and I can give you address to collect from.
  11. A back to back baby is unbelievably painful! Poor woman should have been given an epidural. Far better for the baby than pethadine. I felt so sorry for her. Keef, the period pain line always makes me chuckle too, certainly wasn't that way for me either!!
  12. My cleaner charges ?9pn but we round up to ?10. She is non agency.
  13. We took our daughter skiing at Easter when she was 11 weeks old, I bought some baby sunglasses and to be honest getting them on her without upsetting her was a complete pain! That said I was glad I had them - bit paranoid as to the sun especially given the reflection on the snow. She didn't have a sunhat, just wore the hood up on her snow suit. I took them on holiday with me last summer and she absolutely would not keep them on then! Older then so able to pull them off as she did her sun hat...... grrr I am not convinced they are needed, and are certainly not that practical but I was glad I had them - more from an at least I tried perspective!
  14. We used a Bjorn when our daughter was tiny (not great, gave me shoulder ache as soon as she was bigger) and afterwards, I think from 4 or 5 months a Yamu (?) which was fantastic, holds the weight on your hips and can carry front, back or side..... Will check the name but would def recommend. If you can, try out different one's before you buy, I think slings are quite personal ie different people get on with different one's!
  15. Wouldn't dream of going there at the weekend! During the day school hours only :-) Edited to say wouldn't choose to go to any soft play centre at the weekend with little one's!
  16. Def more cost effective to get season ticket to Gambados. If you go along and like it, and want the season pass, buy it the same day and you get a refund on the entrance fee (and membership) that you paid that day.
  17. Baby Sensory is good, its in Forest Hill and is for babies up to 13 months. My daughter loved it.
  18. Gambados is great, lots more there for that age group than Beckenham Spa. In addition to the soft play there is a carousel and dodgems which you can take the babies on (accompanied)
  19. Having read the from two to three thread, lots of people have commented how going from two to three children is far easier than from one to two. My daughter has just had her first birthday and number two will be here in just under 3 months.... didn't want to hijak the other thread hence starting this one, but its panicking me........any top tips for going from one to two?
  20. I usually just stir fry the meat with peppers and Onions then serve with the warmed up wraps plus salsa, guacamole or chopped avocado, sour cream, grated cheese and diced tomato's available so everyone DIY's their own wraps depending on likes / dislikes. A side salad is quite nice with them too :-) Edited because I forgot the onions!
  21. Good luck, it's horrible when your wishes are ignored and there are attempts to push you into a birth you don't want! Seems ironic that those that want VBAC are given grief as are those that don't!!! Maybe the policy is to make anti natal care unpleasant so as to put us all off getting pregnant ever again ;-) Out of interest, when you have had a C Section, when is it usual, ie at what stage of pregnancy, to see the Obsteotrician?
  22. Kebabs or fajitas
  23. I seem to remember baby I having something similiar soon after she started solids, I went back to cotton wool and water and did lots of bare bottom time. I can't remember how long it lasted but she definitely has really smelly nappies and a sore bottom accompanying teething!
  24. Hiya, I too am having far less appointments than last time and am considered "high risk" this time due to CS last time, my first was born 2010. I am @ 27 weeks now and my last official appointment was in October, my next, the week after next. I have seen my midwife this year, however that was an unofficial appointment - she did use the doppler.
  25. Sounds like we should swap midwifes ;-) I had an emergency caesarian and fell pregnant again just over 6 months later. I have no wish for a VBAC, actively want to opt for elective caesarian. I know that just because things went the way they did last time doesnt mean it will happen again, but quite honestly I don't feel at all as though I want to be in that position again, the thought of it makes me feel really tense and stressed. The only way I would ever even slightly consider VBAC is if I could be guaranteed a hospital room and a pool - not feasible given pool's are always subject to availabilty, they dont let you in one until you are 5cm, the recommendation in this situation is continuous monitoring and then there is the small matter of me being statistically 4 times as likely to have a scar rupture given the second pregnancy was so soon after the first. My midwife is not only not accepting my choice and trying to convince me to go for a VBAC but she also is encouraging me to do so at home ?!? Ive yet to see an Obsteotrician because she won't book me an appointment until we have " discussed it further" - so far our discussions have involved her trying to convince me against ECS and then not allowing me to put my view across or explain how I feel as "we havent time today can discuss later"! Always seems to be time for her to have her say though and pressure me. I don't think she has even seen my notes from my last birth so has no idea what happened. I know it's not PC to not want a VBAC but to be perfectly honest, the situation is taking the shine off my pregnancy. Last time I enjoyed my midwife appointments, this time I dont look forward to them and they just upset me and make me feel stressed and not in control at all. Its a shame because other than this issue my midwife seems to be a good midwife and I like her on a personal level. Anyway, in a very long winded way, what I am saying is definitely pursue your wishes, there are midwifes out there who will encourage your decision, I am surprised you are experiencing resistance to be honest. Good luck x
