not quite the same but lots of car's on Goodrich were scratched during the snow before Christmas. Looked as though someone had walked down the road with something like a metal coat hanger dragging it along every car as they went. Our car's were (unfortunately) parked next to one another so both were scratched. I was relieved when I realised it was lots of cars effected too. It somehow feels worse if you think you have been singled out, not that I would wish what happened on anyone (if that makes sense ?!?!?). I just think if someone actually get's pleasure out of something so pointless and downright nasty then they must be a very miserable individual! To be pitied! Haven't claimed and don't intend to, its not worth the hike in premiums.

I use the butcher over the road..... Great meat, fresh, reasonably priced and service with a smile too!! -
Bishop is quite spacious too.

You can use Vicks from 3 months - alternatively there is a young baby version. Your doing all the right things, do you have a bouncy chair he could sit /sleep in during the day? Being as upright as possible helps.

Frien Road is on a trial collection service, general rubbish every 2 weeks and then food/garden and recycling collected - sounds like perhaps Dunstans on the same trial.... We are Tuesday's recycling and Thursdays general and garden - only round the corner from you too!

Ive noticed that!! Annoying as have to go to Lloyds - not far but a hassle getting across the road! Or pop in for cash back and spend ?40 on stuff you didn't know you needed ;-)

Thanks so much for that Princess. I though that was the case from what I could find online, wasn't at all obvious though so I wasn't sure. I do have the 2010 frame but sounds a bit pointless if it then only seats one child, I will only have a 15 onth age gap so my eldest will more than likely be with us - no nursery etc. Did you happen to notice how big (and expensive) the adapter was whilst at Mothercare? I seem to remember it being around the ?25 mark and quite large in which case it doesn't sound like the most practical buy...... bubba will just have to wake up when he gets in and out the car ;-)

Oddly this thread has given me the incentive to start getting done all those jobs done that I have been meaning to do, also no Hipp Organic baby food has passed my daughters lips for a good couple of weeks!! I have a clean washing machine and descaled kettle! The eaves has been sorted, things cleared out and the pile of moving junk is significantly smaller..... I even cooked a Jamie Oliver 30 minute meal last night! There are still job's I want to get done but I am feeling far more organised now.... wonder how long it will last ;-)

Hiya, I have been through all this with my 12 month daughter, its not good news!! Anything for chesty coughs comes with a 6 and above licence! Dry coughs you can give Tixlylix etc (glycerine based) but it's very short lived relief and not very effective. What you can do, and we have been doing religously is; 1. Vicks on back, chest and soles of feet 2. Humidifyer in room at night 3. Karvol on bed sheets 4. Saline nasal spray and aspirator for blocked nose 5. Plug in Vicks You can also bring them in the bathroom and turn the shower on hot to create a steamy atmosphere- although I guess that is just a DIY humidifyer. I know what you are going through, my daughter has been chesty since around Christmas now!! We even saw a respiratory specialist at Kings last week!

Thx for your comments:-) there seems to be no information about this online and clearly isn't popular..... Mothercare is the answer!! Will look forward to hearing more :-)

Has anybody used / seen the Vibe being used with the Maxi Cosi attachment? Does it still seat a toddler in addition to the baby? I assumed it didn't so discounted it (presumably heavier child would have to go in back seat which your not supposed to do) thought it worth checking though :-) Thanks Clare x

The value differential: ED vs Nunhead & The Oak

Location, location, location....... ;-) -
Soup was fab and my daughter ate two bowls!! Feeling very domestic goddess like now ;-) Karter, my cleaner has no availabilty, however, she was away for 5 weeks over Christmas and organised for me to have a stand in cleaner - a friend of her's. Marie, the stand in cleaner was excellent, lovely lady too. I know she is looking for additional work. I can put you in touch with her if your interested. I have had a cleaner for around 10 years now.....felt very decadant at first, now shamefully it's up there with food and shelter ;-) I did decide that I would do the cleaning myself when I finished work to go on maternity leave...... that didn't last long, was hard work heavily pregnant and even harder with a newborn!! hmmmm domestic goddess points removed!!

My daughter has just turned 1, other than when she was really tired she has always fought sleeping in the daytime. Basically she is far too nosy to miss out on anything!! Guaranteed way's for her to sleep are pram and car..... we have just accepted that that is how she is and been grateful that she sleeps well at night (when it really counts). If she gets overtired and grumpy I will coerce her to sleep (involves cuddling her and letting her fall asleep on me - bad tecnique but does work :-( thankfully she generally seems to manage on cat naps during the day so we rarely have meltdown - does nothing to help me in my quest to be a domestic goddess ;-) edited to say, shush pat just seems to make her more adamant she is not going to sleep, picking up putting down with a shush pat on the put down works far better with her but it 's a slow process for little gain (she rarely sleeps more than half hour in her cot in the daytime).

Thule every time :-) Well designed and look about as nice as a roof box can ;-)

I was going to, but when the info arrived you wasn't allowed any alcohol...... I meant to call to find out if that was never,or within a certain time period before but nevergit round to it :-( Only had the odd glass of wine given I was feeding my baby, does anyone know whether it is total abstention?

Re bailiff, keep receipts for everything, bank statements showing purchases. Also do not let them in!

They only rent a room, and it's in HER home. This means Far less rights than if they had an assured shorthold. They will be deemed to have a licence rather than a lease. Def speak with the citizens advice bureau, (The situation may have been updated) but the case always used to be the notice was deemed reasonable if the same as the rental period ie 2 weeks. Good luck.

Thanks all, I received a couple of PM's recommending Andy (Handy Andy 07961 024 859) He came out straight away and sorted the problem, can't recommend him enough :-)
