    Borexit

Got to admit I keep on reading the title of this as "Broexit" a thread about the break up of two best mates over something trivial (sounds like a soap plot line) Thinking deeper BoJo and Cummings could be the leading players!

You're right Alice, but for the record a little light relief can often break the tension caused when two sides are at loggerheads and there's no apparent way of meeting in the middle. But I'll be the first to say "sorry mom"

I guess the real crunch point is if Boris delivers on his promises to level up t' north and if the former red wall remains blue or reverts back to red. London has a lot of labour supporters but not enough to be the deciding factor in a GE so it possibly relies on how voters outside of the M25 feel on election day!

  6. Sorry couldn't resist as this thread has been going on and on for so long.

    No, sir

    Is that you Sheila ?
  8. But foxy Not one person is wearing a mask ... how very dare you suggest that for around here 😱
  9. Spartacus

    No, sir

I wonder if the cat, being Australian, uses Bruce and Shelia?

That's a really important question concerning why it was closed in the first place...

Wow that way leads to madness then machines demanding equal rights and before you know it ... we will be employed to look after aging robots and ...oh you get the picture 😱
  13. Ed26 A possible counter to the "if they delayed it another month" is that more young people could be vaccinated and the current wave could be smaller with less people likely to catch it when we unlock. It's a tough one to call
  14. Madness Let's divide the footfall .. they would be better off extending north cross road market to become a bigger area attraction

  16. The awkward thing about bringing people over to look after us as we age, is that eventually they will age and require looking after which means we need more people to come over and look after them and when they age .... It's a vicious circle and the ideal solution is going back to extended families where the younger generation all help to look after the older generation. But the western world moved away from that in the pursuit of happiness through home ownership and as a result ...
  17. Whilst we're all on here debating the merits of LTNs to (apparently) improve air quality and drive down emissions, at the same time multi millionaires are blasting into space having joy rides that in one flight potentially will do more damage to the atmosphere then all the cars in London. Where is Alanis Morissette when you need her vocals most ?
  18. I guess the parking depends on factors Business owners possibly want it back as it allows people to pop in and collect heavy or bulky goods Diners don't want it at night so they can sit outside on a Summer's evening Pedestrians are possibly indifferent , some for , some against Cyclists ... who knows
  19. It's funny, the media are now believing every word from a man they hounded for lying about his "eye test trip" He's out for revenge so I'm taking everything he says with a pillar of salt 🤔 I wonder how long it will be before he calls for a new PM chorus "if not now, when?" 😆
  20. Is anyone else getting fed up of the new slogan "if not now, when?" It could be applied in so many different ways For example "is it a good time to die from Covid?" Chorus "if not now, when?" 😱

  22. Funny that Reopened just after the LTN consultation.... If I was suspicious.... But brilliant news none the less

I'll hazard a guess, after Covid , "me old China" is possibly out of Vogue now! Even though it's cockney for China plate (mate)
  25. I believe that The Lane safer neighbourhood police team have this on their list of ward priorities and you should contact that team directly to report any issues rather than the council who are not the right people to deal with this It's potentially a multi agency issue and the starting point is the SNT. 020 8721 2769 [email protected]
