  1. I thought it may be of benefit to those about to have their 1st jab about our experiences of side effects after 1st and 2nd shot and to mention what vaccine we had. I found a similar thread on another forum I follow and found it extremely helpful. I'll start. 1ST SHOT: VACCINE: Pfizer. SIDE EFFECTS: I was able to go to work as planned immediately after I had a sore arm all of that day and into the next the following day slight fatigue. I'll follow up when I have my 2nd shot as I understand side effects on that can be different. I am 61 years old.
  2. Mines Wednesday and I'm 61 y/o. I'm so pleased!

Looking forward to seeing photos.
  6. Perhaps post this in the lost and found thread too. Good luck!

I really really pray that you reach your target-As a 60 year old who grew up in the inner city I cant stress enough how wonderful it is for the local children (and adults..I'd love to learn to ride..never too late they say!)to have access to a Stables and actually for horse loving teens to have the chance to help with the mucking out and experience being around horses..something as a horse crazy 15 year year old I would have loved to be able to do.
  8. I've only heard good things about this stables. And as previously mentioned if you do have an issue perhaps you should raise it directly with them and not post on a public forum.
  9. Myself and my other half have donated and shared with our neighbours. Its a Wonderful idea as We are so lucky to have the Stables in our community-and I for one get great pleasure from walking past and seeing the ponies looking out of their stalls. Good luck Dillan and Rocky and if I'm not in work that day I will be there cheering them along. Just adorable!

Good luck!
  11. I think it mat be an idea to post this on the general forum too-I dont have children and never check this section of the forum but was looking on this section for a friend with a child. I will donate to this worthy cause as will many other locals who may not check into this section and miss this.
  12. Totally agree-this and joggers that run towards me panting in my face with no attempt to distance are another bone of contention. and peoples lack of spacial awareness in supermarkets. its deeply depressing how some people just chose to forget the basics steps to help stop the spread.
  13. I'd rather it was a Lidl to be honest
  14. We were there around 1pm quieter than usual, staff on stalls all wearing masks and the guy at the LL entrance acting as marshal was very good at stopping people and asking them to don their masks. We felt pretty safe there, much more than formerly.

  16. please do report this. Its this attitude of selfishness and disregard for following the rules by the few that has contributed to the horrendous death toll from Covid. I bet the same revellers dont wear masks on the tube and chain (falsely) they are 'exempt'

Thank you I shall join tomorrow. Its the least I can do because the Woods have really helped me during last year's fear and uncertainty and I will no doubt be relying on them to provide more of the same in the coming months.

And thank you for all you do- Is there anywhere that we could register ourselves for volunteer work once the current Pandemic calms down? The woods proved a real godsend for me (and I'm sure many others) during the spring and November lockdowns and also in the 11 years I have lived in the area. Its a magical place and I get so sad that there are the few that dont respect it

People have no respect, I have noticed overflowing bins there and rubbish scattered around. Woodland is sacred. We are so incredibly priviallaged to have this on our doorstep. It has been a lifesaver for me mentally in the past year and it would be a terrible thing if due to the selfish lazy few this wonderful amenity was taken from public use.

They're where I go to recharge and decompress on my days off work-because I've been working I haven't been since wednesday. I'll be heartbroken if they've been closed to the public-please advise and let me if theres somewhere I can protest against this.
  23. whitstable, Leigh on sea or Westcliff on sea, also Worthing is good-great transport and near Brighton-we have friends who brought there (couldn't afford Brighton) and I loved the cafes and vibe
