I must say that however cold it gets in the UK there is rarely any need for what is in effect ski-wear. Brands such as Moncleur CG etc . I suffer terribly with the cold but wear a wool coat (or a waterproof one) a big shawl and have a hat and I'm fine. unless you're going skiing you really don't need that sort of cold protection. and it makes tube travel damn uncomftable.

Usually about 3 times a week. In honesty I never used the gym there so can only comment on the pool and the wet changing rooms. As forest hill changing rooms in the wet change area are unisex there are cubicles in which I?ve found food, used nappies. And on more than one occasion a strong smell of wee. At DLC I use both wet and dry changing areas and use the pool 3-4 times a week. So I DO have experience of the pool and am a regular user at all times of the day and week. Today I used the gym and there was a cleaner in the women?s dry changing room however it was still FREEZING COLD with no obvious form of heating -

Its my local gym/pool and i changed to go to ED leisure centre a bus ride away because The changing rooms were so filthy, toilets overflowing and consistently filthy. Pool staff at FH are useless and don't seem to watch half the time. Dulwich Leisure centre is like a 5* spa by comparison...I kid you not! -

I'd never buy flowers in M&S but would go to the florist near Goose green. All my perfumes come from Roulier White rather than sending my OH into town to buy in a dept store. I personally try to buy and support independent and local whenever I can

I went today and both the wet and dry womens changing rooms were FREEZING!!!! can something be done about this? -
Greedy B*****ds this is why our high streets are all becoming hideous homogenised parades of coffee shop chains and estate agents. Im starting to hate London...why can't we be more like paris with neighbourhoods boating lovely independent traders?

go to Cherner books on Lordship lane, I've had some amazing recommendations given to me in there which opened a whole world of authors and books I would never have found otherwise.

Well done to the staff-situations like that are incredibly traumatic and shopwork is not highly paid. To those moaning about the queues....get a grip! You won't starve and just thank the lord that no one was hurt in the robbery.

I find the accoustics so bad there that is actually an unpleasant dining experience as its so noisy. also Ive eaten there a few times and also find it overrated. The Crooked well is much nicer with a better ambience

I'd love to cycle but Im 58 years old, can't ride a bike and doubt wobbling from the Horseman Museum to Bond street would be an option for me even if I did get a bike with stabilisers!

The argument against the > tube in Dulwich is the same one that was used > against the railways a few centuries ago. We don't > want those horrible modern contraptions spoiling > the unique character of our beautiful countryside! > Etc. etc. etc. I moved to the area because of the London overground-I moved roughly the same time it got extended to our neck of the woods-I didn't move in the hope of making financial gain from the improved transport links, I moved here because I could get to work on public transport...that has become more and more problematic in the past year. I don't hope for an underground here...All I ask is a RELIABLE service that is not dangerously overcrowded. And a bus-route that actually really does link se23 &SE22 to the western edge of the west end.

The transport links to our part of london are lamentable.Trains always packed, often late or cancelled and no decent direct bus route into the Marble arch oxford st area aside from the 12 which doesn't go down Lordship lane or the 176 which USED to run to oxford circus many moons ago but now stops in the back of Tottenham Court road somewhere. I work in the West End (Bond ST/Oxford st) and the commute is making my life pretty miserable. When I lived North of the river I had a choice of buses that would get me near home, and reliable trains. I actually live in Forest Hill but sometimes travel to Denmark Hill or East Dulwich on overground or southern to go to the gym after work. The inter-change at Canada Water is a deathtrap crush to change to the Jubilee line. And when the overground isn't standing room only late at night (I work shifts and often get out of work at 10.30pm) you have to doge aggressive beggars wandering through the carrages. I love the area but can no longer afford to move back over the river. TBH the dire transport links make me really peed off. And don't get me started about the often complete lack of trains at weekends, and zero on Boxing day when some of us (i.e.;lowly paid shop workers) have no choice but to work.

anyone know why they're closing? it always seemed busy. is it because of boring neighbours complaining about noise? -
I'd go Peckham Rye-there is more room for an increase in value over the long term too. Lordship Lane is already pretty gentrified whereas I see Peckham becoming more and more poular
