  1. Definitely. Pillocks are chastised on a case by case basis.
  2. Yeah let them off. They might be hypocrites but their hearts are in the right place. Let's let Simon Hughes off too. Can't have be easy going home to your boyfriend after a hard day's gay bashing.

You dont' need to hassle her Mo - she's on the case: 'I've had a nice restful summer, so have started applying for immigration caseworker vacancies. My CV is looking good, I've got the qualifications I need and the experience, so I will just have to keep on trying till I get the job I want - or wait a month or two and apply for a job in Iceland!' Maybe Lordship Lane is a bit towny and maybe British drinking culture can be a bit anti-social at the fringes but there is nowhere else in Europe that guarantees such a wild night out. Give me a night out in a Yates's or a Walkabout full of townies over a quiet family stroll with ice creams and trinket stalls any day.
  5. I don't get why someone would be so keen to slate another man's endz.

Getting married is a pretty extreme way to get an audience for your guitar playing. A friend of mine did that at his 21st and later at his wedding. In fact every time he has a captive audience he starts up on his bloody guitar. Your big day though Keef. Take the piss..
  7. She lives on Grove Lane. That is still in Camberwell. Jenny- please sign the petition.
  8. I'd rather pay the tax.
  9. Interesting and informative. Sounds like the trendy bubble you fled is expanding your way. Where will you run to next? Seems that if you continue to surf the wave of gentrification you'll end up living in Kent with a string of invesment properties under your belt.
  10. Almost forgot to sign it myself. Please sign and spread the word. http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/keep-the-south-london-line-link-at-denmark-hill.html
  11. The people of Kent can fight for extended services. The people of Camberwell, Peckham and East Dulwich can fight to retain their current services. If you want to get into Nimbyism then maybe we can trade our mental hospital and homeless drop in centres for reduced access to London Bridge. We certainly shouldn't give it up for nothing. As you have already noted we have lots of problems in this area. Reduced transport links would add to them.
  12. I am going to throw my piss sodden chips in the bin and start again. I don't care about arbitrary assignment of urban/suburban status. I do care about the train service. Please don't bring party politics and political rivalries into this. Please do support the retention of the Denmark Hill - London Bridge service.
  13. Great copy. You are the Alistair Darling of South London news.
  14. This is pure gold. If you are having problems with Virgin media then try this. My mate reckons he has tracked down their only conscientious call centre employee. Dial 0800 953 9500, choose option 1 then insist on talking to Kylie. I tried it and after weeks of waiting on hold and getting the run-a-round we now have phone, TV and broadband. Thanks Kylie. Sorry Kylie...
  15. Thanks. That's really great.
  16. Almost tempted. Are you thinking Skegness: Funcoast World?
  17. They can do what they want with regard to marriage. I won't be paying though. They'll be lucky to get a speech out of me. 'Your mother never needed a speech'.
  18. She's happy as she is but if I try to get all the forms filled in I think it might stir up her inner child who wants her day as a princess. Reading cinderella to my eldest and also her being a bridesmaid already - it's really obvious where the brainwashing sets in. Just got to convince Ms Notyetdale that she has to break her programming and save the world.
  19. Sometimes you just have to put your foot down Snorky. What difference a civil partnership if it were allowed for heteros? It probably is actually..
  20. Lost the plot - Those decisions are already made. The financial incentives necessitate the legal agreements. The love, commitment and long term intent can be expressed behind closed doors without a band and a buffet. Snorky- I like it.
  21. I think weddings are crap and previously thought marriage was unnecessary. Whilst the capital gains tax incentive already had me tempted, yesterday's announcement that I can transfer my nil band onto my missus after I go has made it almost impossible to resist. If I don't get married now then I suppose I'm just being contrary. Isn't it bad though that the government can interfere in my life like this. Everything was fine until they started trying to bribe me into getting married. Anyone else going to reconsider there marital status on the back of this announcement?
  22. Because Peckhamboy that would cut off ED's buses and remove their link to the West End. Please sign the petition for all of our sakes...
