  1. No. It would mean that we'd be piling down the hill to get on your trains though...
  2. http://www.camberwellonline.co.uk Follow the links on Camberwell Online for the details of a proposed end to the DH LB service. There is an online petition and there will be opportunities to sign a petition at Denny Hill next week. Loss of this service would be a disaster for the wider area. Please support the campaign to prevent its closure.
  3. 82 basis points?!
  4. That's 9 out of 1,100 isn't it? What's that as a percentage?
  5. We usually go to Brockwell Park for Bonfire Night. this year the display is on Friday 2nd November 7.30pm A few of you may prefer the Clapham Common one which is at the same time. But that's Lambeth - we should really be going to Southwark. Can't find out when or where that is. Anyone know?
  6. Sean I am afraid that I am unlikely to introduce myself either on the bus or in Inside 72 because I'm 'prone to insulting insinuations' so I 'feel the need to hide behind a nom de plume'. Sorry. Amanda - I love the stuff about only getting multiple orgasms off guys you don't respect intellectually. I know a couple of ladies who share your affliction in that department and I know of no cure. I do think that if a middle aged guy was to post about only being interested in sex with stunning but stupid young girls that he has no interest in long term commitment with there may be a bit of a backlash. What do you think? Do you have double standards about that sort of thing or would the old perve have your sympathies?

How about notoriety seeker? It seems Landcroft House is written by Rob from this forum. Unless there were two birthday cakes in one week at the Montpellier.
  8. If I did it would be about as interesting as Keef's. Early days Keef. Maybe I am envious. Everyone likes attention.
  9. Sean and Mockney are a bit like that. I see them around every now and then - taking photos, signing autographs, leaving newspapers on seats... With minor celebrity status comes minor responsibility I suppose.

I am full of admiration for the three bloggers. I find Amanda's blog incredibly interesting. I think DMum has been quite successful with what she is doing and whilst her blog doesn't grab my interest the way Amanda's does I can see why it might appeal to likemindeds. Keef's is in its infancy but I will keep reading for now... As to the whole 'what's it to you' reaction then I think you are being overly defensive of your pals JL. If someone writes a blog then surely they want people to read and discuss it. So that is what I'm doing. Get out more! Love it. Slagging people off for reading blogs and looking at the forum is a bit rich isn't it? Perhaps you forget where we are?

  12. Do you think they want to be famous?

Amanda called Maurice a 'see you next Tuesday' over his council house comments. She then edited it down to tw@t I think. So what's your second guess?
  14. It's an online diary. Some blogs are worth finding time for:- 'It's usually mid-cycle when my ovaries are screaming, "fertilise me" and all I can think about is sex. So then, when I've had my fill (or managed to survive another month without!) I look at the self-satisfied man looking at me, and want to tell him, "your job is done, now piss off"! ' Something to chat about at the next drinks! Just hope that 12th is mid-cycle....
  15. These three individuals link from their posts back to their own blogs. Keef and Amanda are not posting anonymously either -why do you chose to live so publicly? What does everyone else think? What's in it for them? What's in it for us? Do any of you read them? What do you think? Amanda is Chav With A Law Degree by the way. After multiple edits I have inserted links below: Keef Amanda Dulwichmum I personally would guess that they aspire for celebrity status. Why don't you guys apply for next year's Big Brother?
  16. You got my hopes up but I don't think that is particularly controversial. How about this- If law graduates need subsidised housing then who doesn't? I'm all for funding someone's education but not as an end in itself. Time to get that training contract CWALD and get on with the rat race...
  17. You think council houses are for layabouts and scroungers don't you Mo?
  18. I watched Auf Wiedersehen Pet series one episode two. Interesting parallels between Brits in the 80s forced to be gastarbeiters in Germany and the Poles working in Britain today. Great dialogue as well when Neville chastises Oz for being ridiculously nationalistic for a country which can't even provide him with work.
  19. Vik Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Janice Turner lives in SE5 on the SE22 boarder, so > is deffo on about ED. So she actually lives in Camberwell. I expect she calls it Denmark Hill Village too. This thread looked like it was going to be really interesting when Maurice asked Chav to justify spending her whole life in state sponsored accommodation but then it went down the alternative and equally controversial IVF route. Perhaps there should be another thread CWALD...
  20. > is it fair to pay for high brow output if most > people don't care about it? That's what you get in comprehensive schools up and down the country.
  21. ?135 per annum does seem a bit expensive. Whilst I take the point about the relative quality of the output of the BBC and commercial organisations I'm not sure whether people who never watch or listen to BBC programmes should subsidise those who do. I suppose it could be viewed as a tax levvied on TV users in order to pay for educational programmes but then if that is the case why should it be used to pay for Strictly Come Dancing? I think there is a case for state funded television for informative and educational TV but there is no sense in being forced to pay a fee to give them a competitive advantage when they go toe to toe with ITV to show karaoke competitions and soap operas.
  22. Yeah- All the name calling and hoo har.
  23. I always post when I'm feeling lonely. Why not? If I'm feeling sad I prefer to be alone or with a loved one. I think you asked for that though *Bob*. You are a bit hard on people especially those with status symbols you can't afford or conversely houses that aren't as good as yours. Anyway Stumpy if you are ever sad or lonely or need a plumber...
  24. Just shut up and toss in your car keys Jon...
  25. I heard they cost an arm and a leg.
