You don't even get any good players from north of the border anymore either. I think Compputedshorty may be onto something there. My short term memory is absolutely shot to pieces but somehow my long term memory is fully intact. Old friends of mine are often amazed at the things I remember from decades ago and in detail too. Weirdly frustrating and at times very annoying.

And the smallest player on the pitch, Luka Modric, turned out to be the man of the match. He was once again absolutely outstanding.

I'll definitely be cheering on Leeds tonight. I think Spurs missed a trick by not playing Defoe from the start instead of Crouch. Vidic and Ferdinand pretty much snuffed him out of the game. They seem to have a lot more difficulty with the smaller type of player. When you have an old fashioned target man like Crouch it's sometimes too tempting to go for the easier option and playing a long ball up to him. I think we played into United's hands by doing that a little too often and made it easier for the United back four to deal with his aerial threat. It's not as if we've been playing like that this season either. Crouch has mostly been on the bench. I would also liked to have seen Jermaine Jenas playing instead of Wilson Palacios but I guess we needed him to win the ball in midfield.
