  1. What the fuck are you lot on (about)?
  2. I think it's good etiquette to not post the results up on here before MOTD for those who do not know the results and want to watch it without knowing what they were. Spoils the enjoyment somewhat otherwise. Also - Mac, I think Spurs have a better chance of winning the Champions League than winning the Premiership.
  3. As an Aquarian I don't believe in any of that astrology nonsense.
  4. Celine & The Nite Wreckage First album should be out in March (hopefully).
  5. Narnia Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Jah........you'll remember some of these I'm sure! Thanks for reminding us that Jimmy Greaves was a goalscoring god. The goal he scores against United in that 5-1 mauling was pure genius and one that Bestie would have been proud off. He was my idol when I was a kid. In fact he was George Best's footballing idol too.
  6. Annasfield Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > One big man crush going on there. Arf! That really made me laugh. Mac is so smitten with O'Neill. Really looking forward to today's footy. Obviously I want Spurs to turn Man Utd over but I'd also love to see Liverpool win as well. COYS!
  7. Bloody hell! You're right. Maybe I am going senile after all.
  8. Hugenuts you're really being a terrible bore. I saw him play live just the once. At White Hart Lane where he scored that sublime goal where he chipped the Spurs defence and our keeper Pat Jennings from just inside the box. Even as a Spurs fan you had to admire and applaud such great skill. Up until then, no one had ever done anything like that before. What's more I remember very well watching him regularly on MOTD and On The Ball and the time he terrorised Scotland in the Home Internationals, the time he whipped the ball out of Gordon Banks in mid-air and "scored". And remember clearly watching the European Cup final of '68 aged ten when he rounded the keeper to score and ended up 5-1 winners. We're not all young bucks like you you know. Some of us are a little more mature in years and haven't quite gone senile yet.
  9. "If you ain't gonna shit get off the pot - Bo Diddley.
  10. Good advice Minkturtle. I thought it had a diary feel to it too. Hence the tweaking.
  11. It's possible Maradona would attract top quality players given money to spend. Depends how much. It would also put the club in the world spotlight because of his fame. It's a big risk as he's completely bonkers. He would certainly need some top quality coaches to work alongside because technically he was seriously found wanting during the World Cup. I think anyone appointing him would be mad to take him on.
  12. I love the East London Line. It has taken 40 minutes off my journey to Canary Wharf and back every day.
  13. Indeed. I miss them too. I was too upset to go to the funeral.
  14. Hmmm... needs a little tweaking but very good. I liked that. Keep it up and keep going.
  15. How'd they work that one out then? He's not won anywhere near as much as the other two. He's a bloody good coach though and I admire the style of football he chooses to play and working within a budget and bringing on the youngsters. Oh! hang on, maybe that's why. Is it? What do you think?
  16. Johnson's been shit all season and Merson still can't walk past a betting shop (allegedly).
  17. "One morning I shot an elephant in my pyjamas. How he got into my pyjamas I'll never know." - Groucho Marx
  18. "Youth is wasted on the young." Oscar Wilde.
  19. I thought it was rather good. Much better than most of the everyday mundane crap that gets on here.
  20. There is an element of truth in it though Keef.
  21. Oh yeah I forgot about that. Have to agree with you Murphy on the way Hodgson and sacked. Bloody disgrace.
  22. Excellent appointment for Liverpool. It's only the Merseyside derby next Sunday and that's got to be a must see next weekend for any neutral at the moment. I'm hoping to get a ticket for the Spurs v Man Utd game but I'm not holding my breath. I'll watch it in the pub if I can't go. So Emerson the two teams you obviously hate the most Man U and Spurs, would a draw make you happy? Or perhaps a win for Spurs would be a guilty pleasure you could secretly enjoy?
  23. Either way Leeds can count themselves a little unlucky to come away from the Emirates with only a draw. Having watched it on TV yesterday afternoon I was impressed with the way they played. On current form they've got to be a must for promotion this year.
  24. I've been thinking of doing the same for ages for the exact same reasons. See you on the street or in the pub.
  25. Elton John... certainly a talented man for 15 minutes back in the 70s but his massively over-inflated ego and colour blind dress sense puts him firmly in with the other buggers on this thread.
