  1. I was off on Monday anyway so I'm a bit gutted I didn't get an extra day off because of the adverse weather and travel conditions like everyone else. I think your firm is bang out of order. I'd have found it nigh on impossible to have got in if I'd been due in.
  2. I know. Jermaine Defore wasn't eligible for the first leg of the League Cup semi-final against Burnley but apparently was for the second leg in which he scored and Spurs went through to the final. It's debatable but Spurs got the clearance so go figure with your Harry bating ratty. He got you promotion, won you the FA Cup and had you playing in Europe against the likes of AC Milan. Even went to your big rivals Southampton and got them relegated for you. You won't let it lie will you. Sour grapes I reckon.
  3. I told you to be careful Brendan but you wouldn't bloody listen would you.
  4. Never deprive yourself of things you enjoy in life. That's my motto.
  5. My dad was an atheist but every year he would give up the booze for lent just to prove to himself that he could do it.
  6. Count me out then. I've got to go there the next night for a birthday party and I don't want two nights of waiting for my thirst to be satiated.
  7. Jeez, what an arsehole. If anyone spoke to me like that at work I'd knock 'em out PDQ. Only last summer he was accused of assaulting his own mother and sister. Not a nice man. From Fox News Online
  8. Is the housing market really that bad?
  9. I plead insanity. I was crazy about those figs.
  10. Indeed but I've still got some left over from Christmas. Do you want one?
  11. One shouldn't give a fig.
  12. Good business for Spurs...financially yes but Robbie Keane and Jermaine Defoe never really hit it off on the pitch as a partnership but as Defoe is out for a few months it's a very good signing as he's a top player and hopefully he can hit it off with Roman Pavluychenko starting at White Hart Lane on Sunday against The Arse. Oh! and I'm going to the game.
  13. Only popped in for a couple of pints as I'm not really a big fan of the Bishop , and it really was heaving in there but when I saw Brendan outside smoking a tab on my way past and then the lovely Strawbs who gave me a big hug I felt a sudden lure of the Guinness and very nice it was too.
  14. The revolution will not be televised.
  15. That was *Bob* And Ted's Big Adventure.
  16. Hmmmm...finally got washed and dressed. Quite fancy a pint now. Might nip down for a Sherbet or two after all. Now where did I put the toboggan?
  17. Mine's been on all weekend and I still haven't got home yet so it'll be warm as toast when I finally do make it back.
  18. I ain't going nowhere in this weather. I don't want to get frostbite on the old pump and toolbag.
  19. Can I insert a bashing the bishop joke in here?
  20. Thank you Sean. Bill Hicks still inspires today. We need more people like him around.
  21. Sounds like a good idea to me but I've been attacking the sauce like George Best on a jolly-up since Friday and feel that my pancreas may explode if I even look at another drink.
