Faces and names, I wish they were same Faces and names only cause trouble for me Faces and names If we all looked the same and we all had the same name I wouldn't be jealous of you and you wouldn't be jealous of me Faces and names Faces and names to me they're all the same If I looked like you and you looked like me There'd be less trouble you see. PS: Richard. I love books too.

So Jose Mourinho has bolted from the Blues. Am I the only person here who isn't surprised? He's been at loggerheads with Roman Abramovich for the past 18 months and has been undermined in the transfer market in having players he plainly didn't want (see Shevchenko) by the likes of Ambromovich himself and the Director of Youth development Frank Arnesen and once Avram Grant was appointed as Director of Football the writing was on the wall. Injuries to one or two key players hasn't helped (Lampard and Drogba) and following a poor start to the season and the criticism that came with it from the boardroom can only have exacerbated his decision by "mutual consent." However, he's obviously a top coach and his record speaks for itself and his personality will be sorely missed in the Premiership. Certainly, he was an arrogant, self opinionated, bad loser but I found him highly amusing and at times forthright in his views. So, who's next for the hotseat at Chelski?

That was a great pie & mash shop too Keef, remember it well.

A "Hill" it may well be, but surely she lives on Dog Kennel Hill?

My mum & dad used to swear by Kennedy's sausages. As soon as they whacked 'em into the frying pan they'd start effing and blinding at each other. No seriously, my dad was a sausage freak and ate them for breakfast nearly every day of his life. Wouldn't have anything else. Pity they are closing.

"Being a girl and talking about football," has got nothing to do with it Annasfield. My lovely niece Deborah who is a year or so younger than your good self and also Liverpool daft is about as knowledgeable as I am and I like to think I'm as well informed as the next man. If you love the game as much as you obviously do, it doesn't matter what sex you are. I reckon you know what you're talking about.

It's still a good result for Liverpool though but do you not think that Rafa's constant tinkering with the team is having a negative effect? I thought the nil-nil against Portsmouth at the weekend was a good example of that. I'm off to see the Spurs tomorrow night in what I hope should prove to be a much needed confidence boosting convincing win against Anorthosis Famagusta (who? I hear you ask) in the UEFA Cup.

Yes Liverpool were awful in the first half but certainly improved second half despite Jermain Pennant's needless abberation. He was a very silly boy indeed and let his frustration get the better of him. He's an very good player on his day though and an excellent crosser of the ball who, if he was to keep his head down and behave himself and continue to put in good performances could make the England squad in the near future IMHO.

Spot on lozzyloz. You'd think the Village would have room for one decent restaurant wouldn't you. But no, what do we get another bloody Cafe Rouge. -

Look this is a thread about the old Woolwich Bank site is it not? Let's keep it that way. If you want to write about your so-called expertise on fish go ahead and start your own thread. Actually, I think you'll find there is already a thread about fish so go and rant on there if you so desire. Why you get so hung up about my sandwich filling is beyond me. Enough of this bollocks I say and let the rest of the people who want to talk about the Woolwich bank site continue to do so.

lozzyloz Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > IMHO the best sausages are from Kim (Libretto & > Daughter) in Woodvale Rd.(tu) Well said. I've been using that butchers shop for 17 years and his homemade bangers are fabulous as well as all his other produce and always served with a friendly chat and a smile. I'm surprised Kim Libretto's Butcher shop hasn't been mentioned on this forum before but then I suppose it's because it's not on Lordship Lane and hasn't got Organic on their shop front sign. It's a hidden away gem for the likes of us in the know at this end of East Dulwich.

Good grief! There was certainly nothing sweet about those scummy old toilets in Robson Road and I'm surprised you remember them Dulwich Mum. But I do agree, let's keep them underground. Out of sight and out of mind eh?

AllforNun Wrote: > (although 3 pints of Kroneberg and then this badly > punctuated attempt at theory is probably a mistake > !) You said it. Personally, and you seem to be getting personal with your continued references to my taste in sandwiches (no, I don't use tinned thanks) You don't even know me, so don't be such a presumptous f**king arsehole. As for the old Woolwich site I'd prefer a record store/guitar shop but I guess that isn't about to happen. As for your taste in beer, Kronenberg..LOL

Good grief! I take it it's been done up to the nines since I last went in there a couple of years ago. Anyway, well done to the Rosendale. Obviously I'll have to give it a go and see what it's like now. -
I was 19 in '77 and never got to see them at the time and I loved 'em when they came out. Never Mind The Bollocks is a phenomenal album. They were like a breath fresh air after all that boring prog shit that went before them. I got to see them in '96 in Finsbury Park though and believe me they were magnificent. I'm definitely up for seeing them again. John Lydon's a great front man and always good for a laugh. I don't care if people think it's some sort of nostalgia trip for old punks. They were the only real punk band that mattered. They gave the music business a hugely deserved kick up the arse and are culturally vitally important to those times. They were it. So bollocks! I'm gonna get tickets if I can.

I'll leave the deejaying to you guys. You can fight it out amongst yourselves. I'm going to be far too busy drinking and being a social butterfly and putting faces to names and hopefully making a few new friends which is what these things are about anyway. Cheers! Happy birthday!>:D -
