  1. I could be interested in this depending on the date. I haven't played for years but should be fun.
  2. I'm sure she speaks very highly of you too Rosie.
  3. Oh! Mockney have you fallen for the divine Ms Barker. she's a lovely lady who lives just around the corner from me. Very friendly and always says hello. I think that's another good reason for moving to East Dulwich.
  4. Or "From the moment I first picked up your book until the moment I put it down I was convulsed with laughter. Someday I intend reading it". Groucho
  5. Nothing worse than glory seeking fans whether they are new supporters of Man Utd, Chelsea or Arsenal. Arseholes who know f**k all about the game.
  6. 1. Alan Dale lives in Camberwell. 2. Lots of good bars/restaurants 3. Lots of green spaces. 4. Good schools 5. Great atmosphere and mostly nice people.
  7. There's a late night bar opposite Brockwell Park on Dulwich Road called 27, if that's what you're thinking of.
  8. You'll be in good company if you turn up to the Forum drinks tomorrow Ultraconsistency. Now, without wanting to go off topic, about that bookshop. I don't go in there because I'm a grown up and don't read childrens' books unlike some of the grown-ups I sea on public transport reading Harry "Bloody" Potter. Also, I don't have kids either but if it ever happens to be one of my friends' children's birthdays coming up soon I shall give a good peruse and hopefully find a suitable present for one of the little 'uns. "Outside of a dog a book is a man's best friend Inside of a dog it's too dark to read." Groucho Marx
  9. Yes, it is indeed Sean. Well spotted.
  10. Faces and names, I wish they were same Faces and names only cause trouble for me Faces and names If we all looked the same and we all had the same name I wouldn't be jealous of you and you wouldn't be jealous of me Faces and names Faces and names to me they're all the same If I looked like you and you looked like me There'd be less trouble you see. PS: Richard. I love books too.
  11. And still wearing your bondage pants no doubt Brendan?

Thanks for the info update on this though giggirl. I'm hoping for Saturday night tickets if they materialise.
  13. So Jose Mourinho has bolted from the Blues. Am I the only person here who isn't surprised? He's been at loggerheads with Roman Abramovich for the past 18 months and has been undermined in the transfer market in having players he plainly didn't want (see Shevchenko) by the likes of Ambromovich himself and the Director of Youth development Frank Arnesen and once Avram Grant was appointed as Director of Football the writing was on the wall. Injuries to one or two key players hasn't helped (Lampard and Drogba) and following a poor start to the season and the criticism that came with it from the boardroom can only have exacerbated his decision by "mutual consent." However, he's obviously a top coach and his record speaks for itself and his personality will be sorely missed in the Premiership. Certainly, he was an arrogant, self opinionated, bad loser but I found him highly amusing and at times forthright in his views. So, who's next for the hotseat at Chelski?

  15. That was a great pie & mash shop too Keef, remember it well.
  16. A "Hill" it may well be, but surely she lives on Dog Kennel Hill?
  17. Her husband Geof though? With one F. That is just so wrong. Lovely house though.
  18. Four pints Barry Road!!! Tut tut. You'll have to put some practice in before Friday.:)-D
  19. Arsenal 1 Sevilla 3 (even better Lady Gooner). Sporting Lisbon 2 Man Utd 1
  20. My mum & dad used to swear by Kennedy's sausages. As soon as they whacked 'em into the frying pan they'd start effing and blinding at each other. No seriously, my dad was a sausage freak and ate them for breakfast nearly every day of his life. Wouldn't have anything else. Pity they are closing.
  21. "I was just getting into bed the other night when I heard this tap tap tap at the bloody window. And, do you know who it was? Bloody Greta Garbo"! Copyright: Peter Cook
  22. "Being a girl and talking about football," has got nothing to do with it Annasfield. My lovely niece Deborah who is a year or so younger than your good self and also Liverpool daft is about as knowledgeable as I am and I like to think I'm as well informed as the next man. If you love the game as much as you obviously do, it doesn't matter what sex you are. I reckon you know what you're talking about.
  23. It's still a good result for Liverpool though but do you not think that Rafa's constant tinkering with the team is having a negative effect? I thought the nil-nil against Portsmouth at the weekend was a good example of that. I'm off to see the Spurs tomorrow night in what I hope should prove to be a much needed confidence boosting convincing win against Anorthosis Famagusta (who? I hear you ask) in the UEFA Cup.
  24. Yes Liverpool were awful in the first half but certainly improved second half despite Jermain Pennant's needless abberation. He was a very silly boy indeed and let his frustration get the better of him. He's an very good player on his day though and an excellent crosser of the ball who, if he was to keep his head down and behave himself and continue to put in good performances could make the England squad in the near future IMHO.
  25. Spot on lozzyloz. You'd think the Village would have room for one decent restaurant wouldn't you. But no, what do we get another bloody Cafe Rouge.
