Look this is a thread about the old Woolwich Bank site is it not? Let's keep it that way. If you want to write about your so-called expertise on fish go ahead and start your own thread. Actually, I think you'll find there is already a thread about fish so go and rant on there if you so desire. Why you get so hung up about my sandwich filling is beyond me. Enough of this bollocks I say and let the rest of the people who want to talk about the Woolwich bank site continue to do so.

I've been using that butchers shop for 17 years and his homemade bangers are fabulous as well as all his other produce and always served with a friendly chat and a smile. I'm surprised Kim Libretto's Butcher shop hasn't been mentioned on this forum before but then I suppose it's because it's not on Lordship Lane and hasn't got Organic on their shop front sign. It's a hidden away gem for the likes of us in the know at this end of East Dulwich.
  3. Good grief! There was certainly nothing sweet about those scummy old toilets in Robson Road and I'm surprised you remember them Dulwich Mum. But I do agree, let's keep them underground. Out of sight and out of mind eh?
  4. *I love a draught Guinness too* *Here...let me pour us a couple of pints*
  5. AllforNun Wrote: > (although 3 pints of Kroneberg and then this badly > punctuated attempt at theory is probably a mistake > !) You said it. Personally, and you seem to be getting personal with your continued references to my taste in sandwiches (no, I don't use tinned thanks) You don't even know me, so don't be such a presumptous f**king arsehole. As for the old Woolwich site I'd prefer a record store/guitar shop but I guess that isn't about to happen. As for your taste in beer, Kronenberg..LOL
  6. Good grief! I take it it's been done up to the nines since I last went in there a couple of years ago. Anyway, well done to the Rosendale. Obviously I'll have to give it a go and see what it's like now.
  7. I was 19 in '77 and never got to see them at the time and I loved 'em when they came out. Never Mind The Bollocks is a phenomenal album. They were like a breath fresh air after all that boring prog shit that went before them. I got to see them in '96 in Finsbury Park though and believe me they were magnificent. I'm definitely up for seeing them again. John Lydon's a great front man and always good for a laugh. I don't care if people think it's some sort of nostalgia trip for old punks. They were the only real punk band that mattered. They gave the music business a hugely deserved kick up the arse and are culturally vitally important to those times. They were it. So bollocks! I'm gonna get tickets if I can.
  8. I'll leave the deejaying to you guys. You can fight it out amongst yourselves. I'm going to be far too busy drinking and being a social butterfly and putting faces to names and hopefully making a few new friends which is what these things are about anyway. Cheers! Happy birthday!>:D
  9. Or Creme Brulee?
  10. About Rooney Keef, spot on.
  11. Yeah and they nicked that line from Robert Johnson without even crediting him. Bastards!
  12. I doubt it Louisa. Like yourself it's probably 20 years since I've been in there and by the sound of things I certainly won't be going back.
  13. Pity nobody posted about the freebie Dodo1. I'm always up for a free lunch.
  14. AB. There is already a welter of curry houses on Lordship Lane. I'd recommend Tandoori Nights, the Surma, Pistaccio Club and The Mirash, but half the fun is finding out for yourself.
  15. I agree with you Fonson and I'm a Spurs fan. Certainly with all the injuries we had at the beginnning of the season it was always going to be tough for Spurs to make a good start and all the speculation in the press added even more pressure onto Martin Jol. Then the board go and shoot themselves in the foot with their approach to Seville's Juande Ramos and it doesn't look good for Jol's future prospects and adds more pressure onto his shoulders. But, we had a poor start last season too and were in the same position we were this time last year and still ended up fifth. As for Ferdinand. I've mentioned it before on this thread he's got to be the most over rated centre-half in recent memory. He makes far too many mistakes. Once Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King are back to full fitness I think they'll be some real healthy competition for his place in England's back four.
  16. I bet he couldn't. He's been dead for 45 years.
  17. Now I go cleanin' windows to earn an honest bob For a nosy parker it's an interesting job Now it's a job that just suits me A window cleaner you would be If you can see what I can see When I'm cleaning windows.
  18. You could say the same about Led Zepplin too. You can't turn the clock back 30 years can you. Personally I'd like to see The Faces reform for a few gigs but I know that's never going to happen.
  19. Well, if Jose Mourinho doesn't put all his eggs in one basket does that make him a basket case?
  20. What! No decks? Bah!
  21. OHMYGOD! (copyright Dulwich Mum) I bet that's a sight to behold.>:D
  22. In the hope of gaining some insight.
  23. I'd much rather go and see the Pistols again though than bloody Led Zepplin and at ?37.50 a ticket and just down the road in Brixton I'm definitely up for that.
  24. I think you may have a point there Captain. There's money to be made in nostalgia. There seems to be a lot of bands reforming just to top up their bank accounts. But having said that, I'd love to see the Pistols again but it's hardly likely they'll be playing down the 100 Club or the Roxy. At least Zepplin are doing their gig for charity. I wouldn't have thought they'd need the money.
  25. I make you right there Louisa, you certainly wouldn't catch me using the internet to do my banking and for a lot of people the personal touch on a face to face level is what proper customer service is all about. Mind you, it's rare that I need to go to the bank as I usually just use the hole in the wall to get my cash out. It's only when I need to put a cheque into my account that I need to pay them a visit. Allfornun: I do not mock the tuna fish, sweetcorn and mayonaise sandwich, it's my favourite as it happens and I like it on granary thank you. So what on earth makes you presume I am only aware of poor ingredients?
