  5. I agree. Man Utd have been shit and yet somehow are in third and still in the FA Cup and they were flattered by the result against Burnley last night. I'm surprised you don't fancy West Ham a little bit Quids considering you've got Spurs away next in the league. A win at White Hart Lane could put you back in the mix for fourth. I'm not overly confident we'll beat you despite our current form. Still, nice for us to have a bit of time off until then after playing 40 or 41 games so far. Will Poch take the lads away for a nice sunshine break or give 'em double training every day? ;-)
  6. Man City still in with a chance though and I'd bet my house on one of those to finish in the top four being Arsenal because they always make the top four. So, Southampton, Man Utd, Spurs and Liverpool and possibly even West Ham for the other spot. Makes it all very interesting.
  7. Next! Cool? Cool, my arse! In what universe was Next ever cool? Not in my world, pal. Preppy office wear for the straight worker bees.
  8. Yeah, quite a flounce. Maureen up to her usual tricks and mind games. I think he was more upset about Chelsea's flaccid performance. It was a boring game to watch especially after the excitement of the Liverpool v Spurs match the night before. The Everton defence were superb throughout and with a little bit more luck in front goal could have won the game. My feeling is that though they are still seven points clear; with or without Diego Costa, Chelsea are not a good as many people think they are.
  9. Ooooh... I like 'em too.
  10. Yeah, great match. Pity about the result. I think Spurs deserved a draw but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes. Nevertheless great entertainment. I just knew when Balotelli came on he was going to score and so it proved. I'm glad he's finally off the mark because there is no doubting his quality. He's suffered in a similar way to Soldado in that the way the team is set up to play doesn't suit his natural game.
  11. You mean Beer Rebellion, Otta don't you.
  12. Whatever, DC still paid over a tenner for a fecking pint of Budwieser. That's BUDWIESER FFS! How he'll ever live that one down I'll never know.

  14. It's not really Youngs & Co anymore though is it... This from Wiki: - "Wells & Young's Brewing, with Charles Wells having a 60% stake and Young & Co 40%, went into operation on 2 October 2006. Wells & Young's is now responsible for brewing, distributing and marketing Charles Wells's and Young & Co's brands at the Eagle Brewery in Bedford. In August 2011, Charles Wells purchased Young's stake in Wells and Young's." Gone tits up since they sold out and moved the Ram Brewery out of Wandsworth. The Brewery Tap has closed as well. And the site is going to be redeveloped into... you guessed it "residential and commercial properties." Makes make my blood boil, so it does.

Just hope it has more of the pub feel to like it had before they ripped everything out of the original old bar rooms upstairs but I'm not holding my breath. Youngs & Co has gone right down the shitter since they sold out to the Charles Wells Brewery in 2006.
  16. Excellent read. Great stuff.

  18. I agree with all of the above. I've not been to White Hart Lane this season as I can no longer afford it. I get my footballing fix at Dulwich Hamlet these days and to be honest I think I enjoy it more there where the fans wouldn't dream of booing their own players and who get behind the team week in week out even when they are three-nil down as was the case last Saturday.
