  1. Horrifying pictures from Croydon in the news this morning of a man on a bike pulling a zombie knife on a motorist who seems to have pulled out on front of him.
  2. Frankly I'm not sure Theresa May gives much thought to people at all. I think she's more a policies and process person.

  4. I'd add one to that but I'm still scrubbing myself all over with carbolic and a nail brush.
  5. Sorry, washing my hair.
  6. QD, something I've wondered about since your first posts in your new name is that there's a sense that English may not be your first language. I'm asking from genuine interest as I realise it might make a difference to how people interpret your comments.
  7. QD, the thing to remember when watching video is that it's edited. The process starts with a point of view or a message and the available footage is cut to support that. Even genuine reporting, whether it's for TV, print or radio, reflects the agenda or ideology of the organisation that produces it. It's rarely politically neutral.
  8. 'the usual frothing fascist nonsense'? That's pretty rich. 'Exeunt'. Thought so.
  9. The now-deleted 'gender stereotypes' thread wasn't pleasant.
  10. Then perhaps you should think more before posting as in my view (and I've been on the receiving end of some sexist barbs from you that I didn't rise to) you're coming across as divisive, so the opposite of what you say is your intention.
  11. Others might argue that you're 'hijacking' threads with your pernicious ideas, QD. If this is a debate, your underlying argument or point of view appears to be 'people from other ethnic / religious groups are different from me, they're not integrating into this society (but because they're different from me actually I don't want them to).' Does that nail it? In other words, you're spreading racism.
  12. There are definitely stag beetles about at dusk, I saw one a few days ago in Burbage Rd which has a hotspot. There have been a lot of small flying insects in the air with all the wet weather so perhaps they're after those.
  13. Agreed, Rendel. The real point, in my view, is that QD feels the NEED to download his bigoted views on any group that's not white, British (I suspect English would be closer to the mark) and male. Pretending it's a 'debate' and bookending it with concessions is just an attempt to make that look reasonable and acceptable. It isn't. Hope Admin puts a stop to it.
  14. Here's the 'ED' thread. It must have set his recovery back a bit. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,1280317,1280319#msg-1280319
  15. No, JoeLeg: as I said already, it's too tedious and time-consuming. You'll have to find someone else to argue with, I'm aftaid.
  16. To be honest, it's more that I find your muddled logic and convoluted posts incredibly tedious. Sorry.
  17. Stirrer. Backatcha.
  18. I don't believe I named anyone.
  19. You're probably right, BNG. There are definitely a couple with more extreme views.
  20. Agreed. If you do go to the bin area at the back, watch out for rats - it's crawling with them sometimes.
  21. Rendel, I fear you're being manipulated into extending a discussion by a bunch of right-wing sympathisers. Hope this thread dies a quick death.
  22. I've been in a couple of times and thought it's better than the relaunched Dog. Have they reinstated the infamous banned list, does anyone know?

Although she often expresses herself very directly, I can't recall her descending to the personal and sometimes abusive, level that seem to be the tone of some of your posts. She's not a bully, in other words. Most genuine newcomers join in gently. You seem to have come in in stirrer mode and I'm wondering if perhaps you're a new ID of a previous forumite?
  24. Isn't there a big recycling bin in the bin area just behind behind the cafe, next to the outside loos?
