  5. set adrift on memory bliss - pm dawn ;-)
  6. how righteous you all are, yet if a motorised vehicle driver behaved in the same way he would be condemned beyond belief. just because you ride a bike you dont have carte blanche to behave as you wish on the roads, the laws are the same for all road users, they are there for a reason and require to be observed. when and not if one of you gets hurt or god forbid worse as a consequence of your selfish behaviour, dont expect any sympathy from me, a fellow cyclist by the way.
  7. beautiful vision - van morrison.
  8. watched the latest george a romero film last night, the usual zombie splatter fest but all the same a wee bit disappointing. unusual twist in it, in that a few of the bods in the film who didnt get bitten still turned into zombies. still worth seeing however if only for the zombie "fishbowl" scene.
  9. trams are the bees knees, have travelled on them quite a bit when i lived in belgium and have used them when in holland and dublin. Like all public transport they have limitations but for a speedy, pleasant way of getting from a to b,they knock spots off buses and would give the tube a run for its money.
  10. heard that one myself.
  11. you wouldn,t have to dig too much, theres enough of them on this forum.
  12. abbeville in france reverted back to the franc several weeks ago, it was a one week experiment to get all the local hoarders to use all the francs they still have from pre-euro days. i was there 3 weeks ago and some of the local shops were still accepting it.
  13. my big pa, is people deciding to park beside me when there are hundreds of spaces elsewhere, eg on the weekly trip to sainbos, i,ll park right down the back where there is plenty of room, as i,m sick of other eejits banging their doors into mine, there are dozens of empty bays yet inevitably when i come out some prick has parked in the bay beside me. why?

gary glitter bought a bottle of red wine today after the salesman told him it was a full bodied 12 year old that went down easily.
  16. on the nail with that one keef, a lot of fuss over nothing that will never directly affect anyone on this forum, unless of course they,re up to no good.
  17. mountains and molehills are springing to mind.

  21. i,m afraid i fall into the if you,re not doing anything wrong...... category. while i can understand others concerns to be brutally honest what intrusion does a camera have on ones life, unless one is a serial nose picker all they are going to pick up (no pun intended) is persons walking and up and down the street going about their daily business. they don't make me feel any safer and as we already know they don,t necessarily stop crime. however they do fill a function in that they will make others feel safe, prevent some crimes and for those they don,t there is a chance the perpetrators will be recognised when the tapes are reviewed and hopefully brought to justice. peoples views on this subject are damned if you do, damned if you dont, however they,re here and they,re here to stay and there isnt a thing we can do about it, vote labour out, tories in the policy will remain the same, so get used to it.
  22. blind cricket, excuse my ignorance, but are the players totally blind or partially sighted. How big is the bat if they are using a bigger ball, is the ball as hard as a normal ball and finally is there someone calling direction of stroke as i can,t imagine the players would have much reaction time.
  23. i wouldn,t expect anything else from mw. Infact it reminds me of an ex-forumite, mw are you atilla the gooner in disguise?
