Important questions about local life
charliecharlie replied to dulwichdreadlocks's topic in The Lounge
I am getting really worried that Sat Nav has done something to your brians!!!! "6... What is the northern end of LL, the top or the bottom?" God forbid some of you ever have to find your way north of the river... come on guys, it's not that hard, north is the direction that isn't where the sun is at mid day... what on earth would happen if you had to find your way to Edinburgh, would you end up in Brighton??? "... always confuses the hell out of me when people talk about a pub being at the top of Lordship Lane when they actually mean it's the Plough... the EDT is at the top in my mind." top = top of hill, bottom = bottom of hill what is the world coming to???? did all that geography at school really fall on such stoney ground??? -

the fact that, on average, men have 15 hrs per week more leisure time than women (UK figures... but this must follow on a variable figure worldwide...) add up all those hours girls, it's time to put your feet up! http://www.titlers.ca/images/pic_relaxing.jpg -

[quote name=Let?s look on the bright side. You are alive' date=' you don?t have to walk miles to a well every day for water, instead you can turn on a tap and get clean cheap water, you aren?t going to die from some horrible disease like cholera, you don?t live in an earthquake zone, you can get light and heat at the flick of a switch, your children aren?t going to be killed by an invading army, you are intelligent and have the most amazing technology and you can use it, you aren?t stuck in some stinking refugee camp because of war, if you fall ill in the street people will help and send you off to hospital, your house isn?t about to be repossessed, you live in a temperate climate, I wont go on. Everyone reading this is rich and lucky and I am grateful for the part of the world I live in and the century I live in. ] yes... we are bright and lucky... of course we know that... but sometime you need to have a really good moan, because everything is so fcuking irritating better than going off 'bang'... not a pretty sight... http://www.dailycartoons.com/cartoons/wp-content/gallery/custom-cartoon-samples/angry.jpg

oh Louisiana, I sympathise... it's what I called 'getting tangled up in the shite of life' me... a simple request to Virgin... "please move my broadband from one line to the other in my house" (can't, surely, be rocket science) 6.5 months later plus approx 4.5 hours of my time on the phone calling them (spread over what seemed like dozens of calls to speak to lunatics and imbeciles to then get put on hold indefinitely) and about 17 emails later... hooray, my broadband gets moved but... (don't get too excited), it now only works intermittently won't tell the you million daft test and hogwash ideas that have since been suggested... yes 'the shite of life' can make you lose the will to live... suddenly, dying at the ripe old medieval age of 30 (ref moos's comments above), doesn't seems such a bad idea after all here's one I took earlier... http://www.audiodrops.net/images/Tangled_in_wire.jpg
