Horsebox! I wondered how the huge bar of yours was so well stocked all the time. It was either that or you simply don't drink enough! I asked the question as I've been dipping into Bossman "organic" wines. Not sure exactly how organic his stuff is but love some of the ales and am trying to work out which ciders to try.. but worry that no one else goes in there. Has anyone else been in there? If so ... have they been back? Moos... care to divulge your source?

tramps on whateley road........
benjaminty replied to sweetgirl's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
As I understand it from a previous thread (now locked down), at least one of them (if not more) have some sort of learning difficulties. Whilst this by no means excuses their behaviour, it does at least offer a reason. There is a part of me that says that we should accept them for who they are and get on with things, whilst another part says that some sort of sensible action should be taken. If, as people suggest, they are somehow moved on by the council then I'm not sure this addresses the problem even remotely. So they get moved on .. but where to? The same issue will exist but just somewhere else. Hows about if they get moved to Melbourne Grove? or the Gardens? Or Elsie Road..... that will satisfy some and mortify others that will then be on the receiving end. I for one would be happy if they could simply stay in their house and shut their front window just like most others but they obviously need to antagonise (or interact as best they can) to exist. It's likely that the only ones who would need to contend with them are their neighbours.... and yes I've met the neighbours and I feel for them. So how to keep them indoors? Or am I over simplifying things? -
Just paid a visit to my favourite (not local) off-licence and wondering where forumites buy their wine, beer etc..and more importantly why?

Declan .... if we explain it .. then the thread will be removed... Not much of a thread to lose so far, but still awaiting responses from Shaggy.

Mrs B was a very soggy 57.5 .... but a few more 10ks to come this year maybe on drier days. I decided to do a long walk of London and made her trek back with me to ED after her run .... lovely day for it! I might be in the same flu boat ..... I got to Islington about 9.30 this morning and my supposed new waterproof jacket .. simply wasnt what it said.. luckily Blacks on Upper St opened at 10 for new clobber! Life saver! How did you get on MW?

Nylonmeals - have you expressed your dissatisfaction with ESPH? Think they'd take that on the chin and do something about it. I Love ESPH. I've had proper induction as to how to use all the contraptions, as and when I need help I can either get it there and then or book with my trainer/physio for an hour or so. I can spend an hour or so getting good advice and not pay any extra! As with all gyms you get out of them what you put into them. I never wait for a machine and no muscle divs (massive plus)!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been to many gyms and none of them compare. Well done ESPH for offering something different from the standard sh1te. Worth every penny!

About to take a massssssssssssssssssssssssively massive increase in mortgage repayments now my lovely low fixed is about to dissappear. Anyone found any good quotations recently for fixed rate? Anyone daring enough to go variable/tracker at the moment? Managed to get a pretty good rate today with Abbey but been assured that it'll probably be gone tomorrow unless I take it now. I've heard this is the case but neber like to be coersed or rushed into these things. Comparing to Jon Charcol and money supermarket it looks pretty good. Any websites worth checking out?

I would never live in a new build in a million years.... (hmm if that makes sense) they are completely souless and cold in my view... BUT I think DKH is great. What else would you like to see there on Denmark Hil exactly? There are many alternatives but none which you'd bother to have an opinion on. Also love the new white build going on by the lights. The disaster opposite Nunhead cemetery is only worthy of comment as it's conspicuous by it's lack of takers. Can't say I'm surprised as it's the human equivalent of a goldfish bowl. The fool who built that deserves to be out of pocket .. the fool! -
It is a little over the top. I have no idea why but I took a photo on my phone the other day as I walked by. There's not much alese to see on that road I guess. I drove past just after the accident one saturday a year or so back. large silver mercedes in one of those states where you just know no one has walked away.

censorship on this forum because of legal issues
benjaminty replied to Buzzard's topic in The Lounge
Sounds like Mark knows the whole story. I have to say I'm very intrigued as to what has happened around the drains, especially that G&B went to such lengths to remove the details. So Buzzard's post was born out of intrigue more than anything else I suspect ... and you can't blame him for that. PS - Can I say that I've never liked G&B? Sorry I'm being facetious I know ..... I've never understood why everyone raves about it. -
I noticed that Steve (presumably) had already taken down all his favourite posters etc from Inside 72 last night. all aprt from the neon lit guitar..... did anyone sneak it under their coat to place in the Drum?

I just left there ..... tear jerker or what!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also love the Academy!!!! Some bad gigs but that was down to some bad choices on my part .... or being dragged to something I wasnt up for.... I'd have to say my worst venue is either Ally Pally or the Brighton Centre....

I'm tempted to go there on elast time tonight on my way out ... or hit it tomorrow night if it's still open. However I spoke to the dry cleaner today and he said that it's staying as a bar ..... what type of bar we are yet to see. I would have thought that most chains woluld find the site too small. I've never heard of the adventure bar in Balham but found this .... http://www.adventurebar.co.uk which looks far from encouraging! (td)
