  1. Brilliant ... much appreciated Zephyr! (tu)
  2. I cannot use the On Demand function. I can order and play items, but the playing is staggered and pixellated and unwatchable. I've tried the same item 4 times now over the last week and same problem every time. I have asked for refunds to the account, which they have granted which is all well and good, but I'd rather it just worked in the first place. I have thought about v+ many times but just thought that if virgin can't do the basics, then how the hell will they provide and enhanced service. If any others come forward with their experiences on virgin and v+ then ... well would be interesting/helpful?
  3. The tinterweb stuff is the only decent part of the service for me. I'm sure I will be ordering Sky in a fit of rage sometime soon...
  4. Anyone have Virginmedia cable and trying to make use of the On Demand features? I'm at my wits end with Virginmedia but can't handle having a dish put on the front of my house. Would like to know if it is just my set top box or anyone else in the area having similiar issues?
  5. my big red beard
  6. Totally agree Dom! 2 weeks ago I was sat at the 37 bus stop in Hernia Hill near a girl who couldnt have been more offensieve with her chewing if she tried. I had my earphones on and playing and I could still hear the smacking..... I had to walk away ... I didnt have a mirror. I dont think anything is more offensive than that! And I can't see any of Motley Crue going to the DCs!
  7. Firstly .... it's the ONLY reason it worthy of press coverage as you rightly said. But I can't help feel that he's already putting himself in serious danger by being there, how much more danger can he be in exactly? He could have been killed already by being out there. If they are so worried about him... should he be there in the first place? He's a standard that the enemy would love to take I'm sure. Personally I like him and think it's a good thing he's there. His father (aherm) I'm sure is proud.
  8. Body heat? are you sure? not movement sensors / infra red? Our lights (my clients lights) go off when no one moves.... wave an arm in the air and hey presto... hmmmm There's not been much movement this morning for some reason... so nice and dimly lit :) I'm sad to say that my company is shockingly ungreen .. what colour is the opposite of green by the way.. ?
  9. As someone mentioned before... it was just leaves! I feel for you SeanMlow to be honest. Not only did you drop something biodegradable and get fined for it, but at the very same time some "real" wrong doers were left "undealt" with because of their numbers and demeanour. (Although not sure the fact it was biodegradable was going through your mind - feel free to correct me?) If I were you I'd feel totally p1ssed too! If all of you posting and telling SML he's a naughty boy actually stopped and thought about how you have been a little hard done by .... ? bitter pills to swallow.. Yes he did wrong but we all hate double standards.
  10. Had no trouble for the few years I have been here in ED. Lived in Brixton and only had one run in with a group of around 20 x 13-16 year olds looking for trouble rather than actually mugging. I feel I had a lucky escape there. I never felt unsafe in Brixton but somehow more comfortable in East Dulwich. There are far worse areas in London. Only time I was ever mugged was in Croydon at age of 13ish.... I don't know of anyone having been mugged in ED....
  11. lol .... You just reminded me of this.
  12. hmmmm 2 outa 4 ain't bad .... maybe I'll give it a bash... thanks pgc
  13. No... definitely try Baker St lost property! If they have found them they will be there.... They'll be able to look it up on their lost property application called "Sherlock" ....! Most common items actually being false teeth, limbs and laptops! What a fun rummage that could be .....
  14. sorry but where is petitou? are you not talking about the same place?
  15. Nice! Shirley Croydon, Shirley Birmingham?
  16. I wanna go to the Fishcoteque!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always liked the The Gordon Bennett in Surbiton... I'm sure I've seen a few recently .. gonna keep 'em peeled the next few days!
  17. The warehouse as a venture is a great idea but for me it lacks substance. I do still pop in every so often but there is nothing different or special going on there. I will, however be down next Saturday to see if the temporary addition will flick switches.. I hope the place stays .. as long as it improves..

DM you have no idea! hmmmmm or do you? Deep Heat in that area can leave one in serious serious trouble .... an awful trick I've seen played by so called "team mates" on someone.... DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!
  19. no run ins myself... have witnessed plenty. Mrs Mabel don't take it personally.. Looking people in the eye usually shuts them up before they say anything .... I go by that rule and so far unscathed.

Sorry DM .... that was somewhat tongue in cheek... I'm sure you understand. I have taken to the odd waxing but not the BCS ... I'm intrigued by it ... much like I'm intrigued by colonic irrigation... to actually do it would be .. well I just don't think I could.

Well all sorts of things go on behind closed doors ... I'm sure you're aware :P I will be wearing an extra layer tomorrow that's for sure! PS - No bb piercings at least!
  22. OK ... that being a given Curmudgeon. At what point does special educational needs justify the actions that have been detailed on this thread. Where does the line get drawn? I'm not saying it does or or doesnt but as someone who obvioustly knows something about the family then what do you think is acceptable? How could the situation be helped and why hasn't it happened? Am I openning a can of worms here?
