I cut the tops off - ideally when the shoots are young and spray the chemicals inside - it is effective but you have to be on it. It does work but if it's not isolated (ie in your neighbours gardens too) and the rest is not treated then it will just keep growing as the roots will keep spreading. you have to be really careful as a tiny bit of it can root if it's dropped on the ground and you can't put it in the garden waste bags.

maybe you could get together with other parents and each take a day to do something with the kids. It would be less of a pressure for all the families and the kids would love each other's company.

Taking letters is obvs a risk of identity theft. I would just use this as a reminder for people to be mindful about how they dispose of letters/ personal info. Shred it is possible, burn it if not. I take mine to work and it gets shredded.

It makes me angry that our young girls don't get free pads anyway. This scheme is brilliant and I will happily donate. Have you thought about a justgiving page so people can just donate funds rather than the logistics of meeting up to hand items over?

Are there alternative locations to built the substation? As for the retail units.... the veg place and the bakery were relocated ages ago and are doing well. What others are there?. Not that I'm siding with NWR, just asking for a more balanced position.

what do you mean 'too good'? I think it's about variety and opportunity to have something exciting. Another chain is a bit like getting socks for Christmas. The icing on the cake would be a Starbucks/ McDonald's/ Pret a Manger/ Top Shop/ another estate agent/ another indian/ another pizza place.....
