  1. Amber Rudd confirmed that crime rates are completely disconnected to the government funding cut for the police service. There you have it in black and white. Crime levels are acceptable and all part of the government approved budgeted deliverables. I am sorry about your bike. Sadly, bikes are easy to dismantle and sell as parts and the police don't even bother looking for them, as they know they will already have been shipped.
  2. sounds fab :-) got a bit excited then ..... but its just vegan version of burgers, hot dogs and kbabs - even celebrating the same texture (they've assumed that's a good thing). Not very inspiring and completely missing an opportunity.
  3. Windows is automatically upgrading to Windows 10 whether you like it or not. Then things don'the work.
  4. Fear is the path to the dark side
  5. Well, it's a completely different view to that of many people - i.e. who the victim was. Mr. Brooks I think was very lucky to escape with his life.
  6. you can report it. details here. https://www.gov.uk/report-no-mot A week isn't long though and it will probably be there for much longer as Fellbrigg is hardly a main road (so it's not causing traffic build up) and they don't particularly hurry up with these things (they have to investigate, move it etc).
  7. It's a bit like going to gigs and having to sit down so no one gets hurt or falls over (and definitely no dancing allowed). Y*A*W*N
  8. "I may have a shot. It's not clean. Repeat, I do not have a clean shot.". "Take the blo*dy shot"......"Agent down".
  9. I do. Very careful about what I put in it.
  10. I googled what to do if there's a burglar in my house. It didn't say shoot him, but it did say to keep yourself away from them and not to tackle them unless you're trained in combat. Things obviously change as in the situation with the 73 year old man, when there is violence used against you....
  11. bet it doesn't mention crime rates or the lack of stock in the Co-op
  12. he did - but it opened a huge debate on the issue of defending yourself
  13. Expecting a text? We expect a business to remind us that we have asked them to provide a service? It's a nice bit of customer service but if the customer forgets they've made a booking, why should the business be out of pocket?
  14. well, there was the other incident where the property owner shot a young burglar and ended up in prison it's a huge debate - and is key to the gun laws in America (the right to defend) In SA, it's pretty much the same but it doesn't seem to be challenged - the right to defend and protect yourself seems accepted
  15. well, you forgot about them. It can't have been a priority of yours. SO, why now?
  16. really happy to know that the dog is found - just hoping for a swift recovery
  17. This website was made to keep the memories alive as the bikes were stolen / removed. https://usa.streetsblog.org/2015/09/11/you-wont-soon-forget-these-photos-of-ghost-bikes-thats-exactly-the-point/ It's quite a reminder.
  18. I hope your project is based on the losses of life each one commemorates rather than how 'arty' the bikes are, perhaps with an emphasis on raising awareness of the dangers of the road for cyclists.
  19. .
  20. It's worthy of noting that the animals are on rotation - it means that this is likely affecting more than one animal.
  21. I think you actually need holiday rather than pushing yourself to make such a big decision. It's sounds like you are tired to your core, which is completely understandable if you have a little one. Being this drained affects your decision making and pretty much adds a touch of greyness to everything (are you sure you're not a bit depressed? have you spoken to your doctor?) Things that jump out at me - if you can work from home, why not do it now? change your work/ life balance in your favour. are you paying off more debt than you can afford? why not take a break, benefit from the hard work you are doing? I love London, I love getting out of London and I love coming back. My kids are at school but I say when I am old I will go and live somwhere hot - growing old in the UK is not on my agenda at all. Look at it anyway you like - Hove is not far from London so it's not really a big move - it's not like moving to Australia; but you need to sort your Self out first - or you'll just carry this energy wherever you go.
  22. classy
  23. And how are you going to know that? As they grow up they need your guidance and trust. I think your motivation is curious.
