  1. I'm assuming Silverfox means the 'Strip' portion of LL rather than the bit by the Harvester. Probably not a good idea due to it being such a Main route. If it needs to be a destination point then Northcross road would be better. Better still would be any of the residential roads which could be more easily closed to traffic.
  2. Looks as though a change will make it possible for cyclists to travel against the traffic flow on one-way streets. Going Going Biking
  3. Rosie H, the world is still full of nice and decent people. One swallow does not a summer make. Problem with copyright is that there is a massice grey area in the middle of two seemigly absolute views. Be nice if spats in the grey area were conducted with degnity.
  4. Fundamentally decent suggests that, at heart, people are good. It doesn't mean that they are saint-like at all times. I'd say that in extreme conditions you might get very poor behaviour, but also very good behaviour. Think of the people who helped to hide the Frank family.
  5. Over here, Mick - slippers on, Pot Noodle.
  6. Are you mixing in the wrong company, KK?
  7. Try this, make a list of people you know. Put a tick by them is they're decent, a cross by them if they are horrible and mean. Tally the results. Of course, as was said before, Sid Vicious thought the man in the steet was a %&*@. I'd say you see in others what you see in yourself.
  8. .....and she wrote it because most people are basically good. No doubt there are some unpleasant bullies around and some downright evil people, but I would go so far to say that most bad behaviour is down to momentary gliches in otherwise nice people.
  9. Yep, most people are fundamentally reasonable, decent human beings. Nearly all the people I know are. I can hardly remember coming across anyone who was a really nasty piece of work.
  10. Smiley faces, pah! For something more gritty try this; 15 - Super manic - Sleep is impossible, multitasking like crazy, incoherent speech, unable to be subdued by alcohol or medicine, super egotistical, indestructible (Rare) 14 - Overly manic - can't sleep, multitasking, ranting and raving, egotistical and "braggy" 13 - More Manic - Sleep extremely hard, showing signs of invulnerability, an aire of superiority 12 - Manic - Sleeping is difficult but possible, ranting 11 - Slightly Manic - Showing signs of mania, but sleep is possible and probably full of nightmares 10 - Hyper - Very excited, seemingly manic, but only temporarily 09 - Excited - Just a little more up than the average Joe 08 - Stable - The "normal" mood of most people most of the time 07 - Down - Just a little down, the average Joe's tough day feeling 06 - Sad - Crying, bad day, almost extreme but temporary 05 - Slightly depressed - Showing signs of depression can probably have my spirits lifted, a little less temporary 04 - Depressed - Generally depressed, tired, discontent, feelings of insignificance, probably crying a lot, and watching sappy movies. Being stabilized is tough 03 - More depressed - Very low, negative speech, really hard to lift the spirits, crying is sporadic, occasional suicidal thoughts 02 - Overly depressed - Extremely low, nothing positive to say, can't lift the spirits, to down to cry, suicidal thoughts are common 01 - Suicidal - Depressed beyond reason, suicidal tendencies and thoughts constantly on the mind, nothing is going my way, there is no cheering me up, secluded. Me, I'm 08 veering 09
  11. I am not reading it but think that "The Corrections" is brilliant. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll seek it out soon.
  12. I tend to get my news through the BBC and the Guardian and, naturally, the EDF - but lots of people don't. The campaign to find Serena was conducted through Facebook and Twitter - with many celebrities highlighting her case. Were these not just the most appropriate media to use in this case?
  13. 100
  14. Confirmed; Mine was collected today by the garden and food waste brigade. Pretty good service except that it was still in my living room with all the decorations on!

  16. Link to the eAdmissions site for Southwark here. Better get your skates on, Steph. Deadline is 15th Jan. Best of Luck.
  17. I'd say no to a Waitrose/M&S on the Lane; it would only encourage folk to park directly outside and then start more anti-traffic warden threads when they got fined.
  18. And some people are talking as if the only way to get to get access to that Sainsburys is to park directly outside the store in the five spaces in the Bus Lane when all the adjacent streets have no restrictions and it is possible to park there and like, walk round.
  19. Hi littlemiss, Not sure if it is quite suitable but there is the Dulwich Supper Club, and there are a few book clubs on here.
  20. Looks like you got your wish Quids - if that was a must-win then I guess your lot are safe now.
  21. And back to you at the SillyHousehold.
  22. http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQqOX9tVdbaRujMvXoGWdSlQExz_nV-n4vX2h5Ke9Em7qPA_HwY I guess it's OK to go on the grass if there is no one around to check. Of course, there is a parking warden at every bay; its called a sign. Pull up, get out your car, read the sign, read it again just to make sure, then do as advised. Simples.
  23. Yep, window was my preferred option. You got a rope?
  24. Thanks Dan4. Saved me the chore of navagating that Southwark site. Only Prolem now is how to extract tree from first floor living room without getting pines all over the stairwell.
  25. Yes Sunnyside up last night was our best performance and a massive boost to our whole season - I've spent the whole day smiling...
