  2. I've seen it a couple of times and agree it is a powerful piece of work with great performances. Nicholson at his scintillating best.

  5. Two tiny green tomatoes on my petite plant on the kitchen window sill. There is a blush of red hue on one of them. I'm the proud father of twins!

  7. one, two, three, four, FIVE...
  8. Having read the papers this morning I see what I didn't see yesterday; not one single member of the public used the bozza-bikes yesterday, it was just a tribe of journalists trying them out.
  9. mockney piers Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Mongrels. Yep, been chuckling away to that too, Piers. Episode six
  10. Cooking sausages in a Ossie Clark, Giggirl? You like to live dangerously.
  11. The London Hire Cycle scheme got up and running today. I was in town and there seemed to be a lot of interest.
  12. Sean and Capt. I've not heard the DM and Sparklehorse release yet but with a title like that, you know it must be good. Me, I've just listened to Ash, "Free All Angels" very very LOUD. Brilliant
  13. Sad to say there is no Jerk Cookout at the Horniman this year (sob) However, apparently it is going to be at Brockwell Park. Can't find any info about it on their website though.
  14. There is a live debate between all the candidates in the Leadership Race on Radio 5 right now. Its streamed on the Beeb's website too.
  15. Marmora Man, I feel your plight but have the solution to get you receipt free: Take up shoplifting.
  16. A vote for the CPT here.
  17. Quite likely for us - we'll get there around 10am.
  18. Ha, just to point out that research into the effects of smoking is worth looking at. Get to 1.55 in the following clip on Smoking in the Future
  19. Turned up at the Horniman Triangle sandpit on Monday morning to find the place a complete mess. Lots of litter particularly around one overflowing bin (even though there were other bins that were not full). It had obviously been a busy Sunday up there. After finding a spot for my little ones I walked round the sandpit and picked up most the litter I saw and put it in a bin. At that point a cleaning team from Lewisham entered the site and cleared the rest of the litter. They were quick and efficient.
  20. Too right. I have altered my route as I walk through with my two little boys so that I can have another look on way to Playground or 1 o'clock club.
  21. citizenED - where/what is Inside 72?? A much loved, but now defunct bar replaced by (shudders) Adventure Bar. You could try The Drum on Northcross Road. Ah, shit, that's closed down too.
  22. In addition to it's normal afternoon opening times everyday Peckham Rye 1 o'clock club is open 10 - 12 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the holiday.
  23. Snowboarder, you poor thing. We have, I'm sure, all been there at some point. Food on the floor, wet beds, crayon on the wall, broken stuff! Remember this: their agenda is not your agenda. You want tidy house, things that work, set meal times, to get out the door on time, a moment of peace and quite. They want to find out stuff and sensory experience. Our task is to fit that square peg into this round hole. It's a tough call. I hope you find solace in the best moments and minor victories.
  24. I'll be there with my two little boys. Weather looks fine.
  25. Great pictures Mark. Was a memorable event. Watch the riders and runners yomp home from the other side of the road on Peckham Rye Common.
