  1. cluedo and risk
  2. I fully support this- natural cycling talent has been nurtured and developed at the velodrome- and it is a great base for all cycling activites- the youth mountain biking, cycle traiing, track biking- but so importantly for children/ youths. Local south London children cannot pop up to North London for the nearest track after school. We need to do everything we can to give young children access to sports, especially if their parents do not.
  3. Re non bio- I have used for 18 years Fairy snow non bio and this has done teenage boys apart from cricket whites -but you do need to wash whites at 60 degrees.
  4. why would you want to go to a cemetary at 10 30 pm?
  5. think of rod hull ( without emu)a dangerous thing to do.
  6. I had never spent more than ?20 on a lip stick until I tried this. If you still have a little bit of a lingering tan this is really good- somehow makes your tan look deeper ( when applied to your face). I have has so many compliments wearing it- I love it to death. best
  7. what about fox poo? as lion is to cat what is to fox?
  8. oh Marmora man - my Dad was in the navy-I am sure you are right- it was drilled in to us.
  9. if i know i have to leave at 5pm i start thinking about what i need and where it is 30 mins before- money shoes bag water gym stuff keys glasses cards. partner thinks;-)" we are leaving at 5pm" starts looking for stuff at 4.59pm- I do think having a handbag is really helpful - most things are in there somewhere- as opposed to him saying " now where did i leave my keys......................".
  10. not OCD at all-A good rule for life! I would say if you are working and can afford to get into the habit it is nice of once or twice a month if you dont go straight home from work, but go for a drink with partner/ friends- because you know once you are home you will be too tired to go out later. if you have a carer/ babysitter that will once a month put your child to bed and you don't get back till 8.30 and you have not had to ccok a meal, it is a lovely reward as to one of the reasons you are working. A friend told me this was a good thing and it is extremely good advice for your marraige/sanity.
  11. YOu might use plants and animals as examples? The plant has flowered and died and we have enjoyed it but now it has died- or animals- I think you cannot avoid it- but it is the whole where are they now? that if you do not have a religion can be hard. I must admit I found church quite helpful for these questions.
  12. If any one says " can we just have a 5 min chat" and it is 5 mins before you need to leave- say no. My boss always caught me this way!
  13. I get these kind of headaches occasionally - do they make you feel like your eyes are going to pop out? i get them after a cold sometimes.I thought it was sinus related and sinutab helped- but not 100%.also applying pressure to those pressure points on your head- chinese doctors are really good at this.::o
  14. partner gets cab 5am and takes 40 mins - but I know it does take much longer after 6am
  15. Sometimes it is not value but "sellability" . Lets be honest putting a new kitchen in is a complete pain so some people may not want to live through this - in a tough market- and it will be for first time buyers I would put one in. For a bigger property - as long as it is serviceable the buyer might be ok about it. I think it depends on the rest of the house. I think mortgage lending will be tough so you don't want a retainer put on a property to sort something out. I think loft conversions always pay for them selves. What were you thinking of doing? I would say sauna and hot tubs do not add value.....
  16. i just drop off to doctor/ dentist/ hospital when i am there.
  17. Hotels are not the way to go for good breakfasts- Up market b and b - all that local sourced sausages and bacon. We stopped going to hotels 3 years ago and have not looked back- recommend this one: link to b and b
  18. what kind of books? i have loads too- might swap?
  19. yes pugwash - you sound a complete expert.
  20. All over Italy to do with a film set in Rome and LOVE as you deduced can't remember the name of it!
  21. I agree Pam, at one time parents would have done much of of what you speak about -but for what ever reason this is often out sourced now. Some parents no longer have the confidence/time to so what they used to do naturally- see it in everything though - tennis- sewing- cooking.
  22. HUGE amount of tutoring goes on - some people very coy about it - bit like being an alcoholic! All depends on where you live and what secondary you will get into - or fight your way into. ESp if you want private at secondary where the gap between private and state can be wide- or grammer/ selective.
  23. I think you will have to bite the bullet and pop into Streatham where there are at lest 2 synagogues. I am guessing you did not have a boy as I am sure you would have had to see a rabbi by now!! I think the one at the brixton end of Streatham had an open day last year so I am guessing they are very welcoming.
  24. i am sure health visitor will not approve but I would but baby rice in the bottle and give it that way. my mum did it to me.:-$
  25. i would put feelers out now- especially as you may know nannies whose families are expecting in january and so will be redundant then. i would not spend much money on it just yet then step it up in october. good luck:))
