  1. They should be pretty friendly charging what they do
  2. Big deal... yawn... there is at least one such web site already out there - http://www.propertybroker.co.uk/
  3. What was stupid was the EDT serving plastic pint pots when they were playing the 1st and 2nd Lions Tests against South Africa - before finally back to glass on final whistle. I've even seen the Bishop serve Guiness in those half pint jug glasses - doesn't look right whatsoever!!
  4. He did well second half of last season, got a lot more involved and showed his quality. If you're going to play him it's got to be with the emphasis on attack to float behind and support the front runners. Unfortunately where Yossi would be best is where Gerrard is automatic choice.
  5. Ribery 8-13 on to join Liverpool. Surely not? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2009/07/10/odds-slashed-on-franck-ribery-joining-liverpool-115875-21508887/
  6. I always thought the Poms were technically Australian
  7. England had an ace attack in 2005 - different bowler came to the fore in almost every test that summer.. I thought Monty was England's secret weapon til I heard Atherton say today he was a slow learner.
  8. Hang on Don Hutchison was a top player and was very disappointed to see him leave Anfield. He'd have been a key player in the Liverpool midfield for quite a few years but his disciplinary problems meant we sold him on to West Ham. You got a very good player for peanuts. In terms of what we lost it was a hell of a lot more than what we gained from signing Yossi. Yossi is a great little player and is probably more of a loss to West Ham than an addition to Liverpool. As for Crouch, we didn't want to sell but he moaned and groaned and so Rafa let him go - I think Pompey got the better end of the bargain having Crouch than us getting G.Johnson. We already have 3 international right backs at Anfield whereas Crouch would walk into the Liverpool team if we revert to 4-4-2.
  9. >> Robert Mancini is new PFC manager btw How certain is that, 100% ?
  10. We've given Pompey and West Ham a hell of a lot more players than we've taken in return! Coming to Anfield from Pompey or Hammers: G.Johnson, Yossi, Dicks Going in opposite direction: Pennant, Crouch, Patrik Berger, Dicks, Burrows, Marsh, Ruddock, James, Jones, Hutchison, Titi Camera, Rigobert Song
  11. I think players need to take the rough with the smooth - if others jump ship it's not an invitation to also disembark. Think about the poor supporter who through thick and thin keeps plodding along giving their support and hard earned dosh and then a star player has a little cry to manufacture a move. It's time for clubs to play hard ball and not be soft - I have no sympathy for Crouch.
  12. Sorry to disappoint you SP but Aurellio is out for a maximum of 2 months, perhaps back in 1 month according to Rafa... so in plenty of time to demonstrate the art of scoring a free kick whilst the goalkeeper is flat footed ;-) As for Peter Crouch he should show Pompey a bit of respect and remember he is under contract - his apparent dissatisfaction seems to be an excuse for another juicy signing on bonus. The reason for leaving Liverpool is still valid to why he should remain at Fratton Park, i.e. first team football, as it certainly wasn't to have a crack at the title.
  13. I hear Rick Ponting is expecting the Home crowd to support Australia.. I guess he thinks it's a Rugby match. In cricket England are in effect the U.K. in all but name. I'll be very surprised if the Home support get behind Australia. England have won the toss and will open the batting.
  14. Looks like Barcelona fans have turned up in their thousands to salute their new Midfield enforcer... perhaps this finally puts to rest their pursuit of Javier Mascherano.
  15. Anyone can pick up a knife and poke it in a wheelie bin a few times but 'frenzied stabbing attacks' strikes me as it would probably have been for the best if they'd been thrown in the back of a dog van and taken off to bostal for 6 months. Yes it might blight their future prospects but at the same time it would send a clear message through their school yard that this behaviour cannot and will not be tolerated. The fact they are white may even hit the headlines so that it wakes up a lot of other kids to the fact that carrying a lethal weapon is a criminal offense. If we excuse this behaviour because of society where do we draw the line for other criminal offenses.
  16. New ESPN channel will cost ?9 per month on Sky and will be available in HD - it's rebranding ESPN America to now also include it's 46 Premiership matches. I don't think I'll be signing up.
  17. Looks a good street in a good area. Walk back from East Dulwich station and Lordship Lane at night will be fine. I think you'll get a much better feel if you have a wander round at night by foot as car is not going to tell you anything. EDIT: Also knock on the neighbours door either side and have a little chat just to put your mind at rest as to why it's cheap and available.
  18. I think old wise owl was counting on desperate Rafa to dive in at 11th hour to avoid indignity of Owen joining rivals United and hence screw up Liverpool's own plans by having the little wretch on board.. but instead it is Fergie left with Bupa man on his ship which could now be rocked at any time by the bull headed Owen. Was it too much Port being drunk after this cunning plan backfired to explain why Fergie's face was as red as a beetroot on Sunday at Wimbledon.. >:D<
  19. Ah so whilst I refrain from having a go at Man U because people are offended with remarks like 'lazy bones', a campaign of abuse against anything Liverpool has been stepped up with a third member joining the boat.. well lads enjoy your paddle because soon you'll be sinking fast once the Kopites open with some fresh volleys!! ;-)
  20. BBC website, Fact of the Day: [Prime Minister] "William Pitt the Younger (1759-1806) was advised by his doctors to cure his gout by drinking a bottle of port a day. He died from cirrhosis of the liver, aged 46."
  21. I'd have thought that the top players already have tax schemes in place to avoid paying excessive taxes so not sure whether they will be as fully affected as what it may seem. The gulf between what the top players are being paid in the Premiership over what they could achieve on the continent seems to have more than enough margin to offset upto 10% more tax and dwindled exchange rate.
  22. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Thanks for another explanation Matthew, my comment > was actually a play on Mick saying he couldn't > speak Spanish... I just used it as another vehicle to reiterate Ronaldo was talking bollox ;-)
  23. Actually it's not the 27th it's Saturday 25th so not sure if that makes any difference otherwise 1st August sounds good.
  24. red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Matthew, my comment was in response to Micks'... > > http://images2.fanpop.com/images/photos/2800000/Ma > nuel-fawlty-towers-2856236-75-75.jpg I think Mick was saying, and quite rightly, that what ever language Ronaldo had spoken it would have all translated as bollox.
  25. I was passing comment on why are Radio 5 in Spain spending time on what is a Portugese player joining Madrid - news we have been aware of for weeks. Their motivation I suspect is driven by it being sunny Spain. Mockney - what's happening with the Dulwich Hamlets pre-season match Drinks?
