  1. It might be Arsenal it might not be.. should Celtic beat Dinamo Moscow 'will be drawn against either Arsenal, Lyon, Stuttgart, Fiorentina or Atletico Madrid, who are the seeds in the next stage of the best-placed path.'
  2. Do I need anymore reasons not to subscribe to the new ESPN channel... "ESPN has announced its first new signing of the season - Ray Stubbs ... he will host ESPN?s live coverage of the Premier League" http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1200327/Ray-Stubbs-leaves-BBC-live-Premier-League-role-ESPN.html?ITO=1490
  3. Not many people make Wenger turn violent...
  4. Great description shoshntosh My first experience of crime when arriving in London was someone looking through a neighbour's letterbox, the chirpy crook then engaged me with a few words about his friend still being asleep on a Sunday afternoon... came back 20 minutes later from shopping and my front door had been kicked off it's hinges! He too was wearing a tracksuit... only thing I'm surprised about now is that people still dress up like Gazza!
  5. I've just created the "EDF Super Liga" on the Barclays Premiership League fantasy football web site. I've used this before and it's quite simple. You need to create your own team - I suggest you use your EDF username appended with "_edf", i.e. my username is "matthew_edf", otherwise no one will know who you are in the league relative to the EDF. To create your fantasy team go to: [fantasy.premierleague.com] Once created join the "EDF Super Liga" (if you cannot page page try [fantasy.premierleague.com]) The code to join League is 224056-57537

  7. That is a pretty sick image
  8. What have I said!!???!!
  9. Once something has been posted it should be locked - if you need to correct an opinion do it in the next post... if people are worried about spelling and grammer mistakes then they shouldn't be so trigger happy hitting 'Post message'
  10. Can't beat Tangy Cheese
  11. Well, I was in West Dulwich just after 5.30 this afternoon, on Croxted Road near the train station. A schoolboy ran across the road and asked could I call the Police. He'd just been mugged in broad daylight by a youth who'd stopped him and took his mobile phone and ipod before speeding off by bike. The kid was a bit shaken up but still managed to give Police a good description of the scumbag who will hopefully soon be put behind bars.
  12. If it's low maintenance count me in
  13. My initial reaction was they're looking to bring in a replacement before selling Young - but Villa suffered last season with not enough depth so maybe it's simply case of beefing up the squad. Young is a quality player, and could do a good job as a front man once Downing is fit to patrol the left wing.
  14. Well I guess that means a lot of fascists live in east dulwich based on the number who read the metro on the train each day!! btw, i read it on their website via newsnow :))
  15. Metro newspaper loses all it's credibility with this snippet: "Sunderland have had a ?14m bid for Darren Bent rejected by Tottenham as the North London club want to recoup the ?16.7m they paid Charlton for the 25-year-old striker two years ago."

    Sky

Stick on another tenner p/m for HD if you're TV is HD compliant If you like your footy think another ?9 p/m for ESPN when the footy season starts in August..
  17. Well I really tried to keep the pledge but there we are... bang! I don't know what you are on about Keef. I think what you have to remember is that this isn't the Houllier days when at one time we had Owen, Heskey, Anelka, Baros and Litmannen all on our books. Pre-season training has started and doubtless we'll see some run outs for Pacheco and Nemeth of which there are very high hopes but realistically it'll be a bonus if they make any impact this season. To win the title you need goalscorers and attitude and apart from Torres we only have Voronin and Ngog - both of whom are worse options than Bellamy. Bellamy scored a cracker for City at Anfield last season, and also crashed the woodwork for West Ham at Anfield. Be good backup for Torres with his pace - if he was made available for reasonable price but seeing as Rafa turned down Owen on a freebie extremely unlikely as no one holds a grudge quite like Rafa (well apart from Ferguson). Right back to no Big 4 talk from me unless provoked ;-)
  18. The night Diana died I was setting my radio alarm for an early start to Anfield. Must have been just after midnight and Edwina Currie (on her Radio 5 talk show) announced Diana car crash in Paris. Radio Alarm went off next morning about 6 a.m. to the tune of the National anthem and I momentarily waited for the inevitable news. Walking through London Bridge train station an hour later, passed the Sunday papers stand and they all reported on the crash but with the Telegraph and Express both headlining with Diana is Dead. Still have that Express final edition. We all turned back at Stafford when it was announced Liverpool v Newcastle game was called off. A little over 4 years later 9/11 took place and they didn't bother cancelling any football that night..
  19. Look the motivation is to have a drink rather than go on the rampage in some deprived Surrey town - besides this a home fixture. Maybe Mockney can secure the hospitality box for us so we can turn to the bar if it's a crap game.

  22. He can chat on the bench about the good ol days down at the Academy of Football with bad boy Mark Ward, recently released from prison for drugs offenses Not sure if this qualifies as your right back but Jermaine Pennant did a little cameo at right back last season in one game
  23. Kenny Sansom is your left back - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-566989/Kenny-Sansom-I-lost-wife-drank-away-money-died-like-old-pal-George-Best.html
  24. Yup shit player too busy scoring a thousand goals ;-)
