Sorry lads but you only get to wear a gold star if you've won it at least 5 times or 3 consecutive years ... such as Ajax, Bayern, Milan and Real Madrid

Great night at the Plough (on 'home turf' as someone put it), big turnout and lots of new people

I suspect Arsenal will run Celtic off the park in Glasgow and rattle up a scoreline so it's done and dusted before returning back to London. I just don't think Celtic have any good players - I doubt a single one of them could hold down a place at a top club in the Premiership.. and if they could what are they doing playing in the SPL! It's a shame really but only hope I see for Celtic is to grow the grass long and waterlog the pitch the night before the game! Nevertheless I shall be cheering on the Scots.

Mick, you'll need to take a warm coat as it's chilly up in Scotland even in August

Neither club will be happy with that draw. Hopefully it's on the 18th Aug so it doesn't clash with Liverpool v Stoke.

The closest Everton get to the big time is when Liverpool fans park their cars outside Goodison Park on a Champions League night

Not sure where 'smile' comes from.. but I class that as a "Feel Good" movie Schindler doing the right thing by throwing away his ill gotten riches to save the countless lives of strangers

Pretty sure the GC burnt down around 10 years ago - it certainly has no resemblence to its former structure

Loz, I believe that London Bridge 'express' train arrives earlier than the published 11 minutes. Now based on where you leap off at London Bridge (i.e. next to bridge staircase) it is possible to make platform 6 in less than 1 minute - thus you can then catch the 7.25 a.m. to arrive at Charing X for 7.34 a.m. giving you 5 minutes grace to make Trafalgar Sq. It used to take me 3 minutes from Northern Line platform to reach Platform 13 during rush hour (where E.Dulwich usually departed) before station modernisation - so feel very comfortable that the 25 minutes could be achieved, and I believe it could be done without a single shoulder barge! ;-)

Was is it about Ferguson and Liverpool, this latest revelation coming from Peter Schmeichel ?Robbie Fowler was the best, he kept scoring, and we just didn?t know what do about it. Had he had the chance, I?m pretty sure he (Ferguson) would have signed him on the spot because he rated him as the best striker in the league.?

Went there for the Forum drinks few months back and the bar service was atrocious - I also think it was a superior pub before it was burnt down, seemed a lot more spacious and is now a little bit plastic. They used to do a Quiz night where the winning team would set the next weeks questions and had a rolling jackput which built up to a few hundred pounds worth of booze, as well as 3 weekly prizes. So not sure it's because of the Phoenix, I think it's rather because they've slit their own throats that is business is hard.

It's all gone quiet down at the Emirates, are they quaking as the Celts march towards the Champions League and the Gunners maybe into the Europa League?!

I think most people recognise that Ronaldo was not your only key 'player' last season although some of them have now retired from Refereeing.

Old man Ferguson picks Liverpool apart with this belter, "The thrust of their team is all about Gerrard and Torres." Forgetting of course that United's single thrust is no longer at Old Trafford..

Yes Anna going to WHL The Espanyol celebrations were nothing compared with that of Rapid Vienna who celebrated their goal against us like a last minute World Cup Final winner... I suppose this happens because there is no bigger scalp in educated Europe than that of Liverpool F.C. I see that attention seeker Ferguson is bored again but this whopper - http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_5473996,00.html

Gulp.. just hope Rafa doesn't now go and spread the ?30m too thinly on players who impressed him last season at Hull, Stoke and Wigan.. I'm gonna keep my fingers crossed it'll be spent on one world class player (and certainly not on some ropey Roma midfielder whose played 100 Serie A games in last 7 years). Watched that friendly on TV Anna and was quite concerned with our display - it's been a poor pre-season and similar to a few years back that culminated in a 5-0 drubbing in Germany.. it spilled over into a poor start to the PL campaign so hopefully history is not repeated as want us up and running in style when we visit WHL.

So that is the reason why your pair of Scousers have their own seperate bath rather than because they're the big fish at United :))

The trains between Charing X and London Bridge depart just about every minute and is a 10 minute journey. It's 2 minutes across the London Bridge platforms to the East Dulwich train line - so you can easily take between 25 and 30 minutes from ED station to being in Trafalgar Square. In that amount of time by Bus you'd be lucky to reach half way.
