Come on now Atila time to show some humility. Although I have to say I am over the moon!! Seriously though, Sky News have just reported widespread flooding in Merseyside due to all the Scousers pissing themselves laughing.. BTW, what goes Beep, Beep, Beep... the United parade bus reversing back into the garage!
-
Fergie looked heart broken in the interview he just gave on Sky, but I thought United were very dignified in defeat and fair play they tried to play football tonight and even though it was far from good enough it made for a great final.

Sweet as you like!

Rooney and Henry have not been involved in the first half... surely that will change 2nd half. Bright opening by United, but since Eto'o broke the deadlock United have been limited to over the top to Ronaldo. United need to bring on Berbatov immediately for Giggs or Anderson. Messi looks like he is in the zone and I don't think United will be able to stop him in the second half. United will inevitably get their free kicks and the heart does skip a beat within 30 yards but it's been a good game so far and the atmosphere sounds excellent. I thought the Singer before kick off was immense.

United line-up suggests everyone behind the ball. Very surprised to see Park, Anderson, Giggs all in midfield. I guess Rooney on the left and Park on the right flank. Toure will play central midfield having taken a quick look at the Barca line-up. My gut reaction is that United are not starting with their strongest line-up which is no bad thing if the game is still to be won late on but based on Barcelona every now and again burying games by the 15 minute mark it might be a major blunder by Ferguson.

I used to use Orange and it never got above 1.5 Mbps, usually it was in the hundreds. Since I moved to Be, I get upto 6 Mbps - just ran a test it came in at 5.2 Mbps. Be make a physical change at the Exchange apparently to double your maximum speed. Be costs me ?17.50 a month and although I think it's expensive to when I paid ?5 p/m for Orange it is pretty good. I connect my PC to the router via WiFi.

Come on Mike I'm sure the French Gentleman would be gracious in meeting you - perhaps you could demonstrate your kung fu

Give notice to current ISP and ask for MAC code. Sign up with a new ISP and once you have new router, cables contact the new ISP and give them the MAC code then within a few hours you'll be switched over from old to new ISP. That is what I did switching from Orange to Be. Only snag I found when I ditched Orange was that they kept taking money out of my account for next 10 months. They eventually sent me a cheque to refund me but they spelt my name wrong... am still waiting for new cheque from Orange.

Why is it so expensive in the Bishop? I went in the Bishop last week and ordered a Coke and their equivalent of a JD & Coke and I think it came to ?5.90! I think a Coke costs ?1.50 in the EDT, and a pint of Lager ?3.50 - but sure about JD & Coke? What are the equivalent prices in other East Dulwich pubs such as the the Bishop, CPT, Magnolia & Vale?

United would be fools to play open football tonight - they must put everyone behind the ball, suffocate the space and take it in turns to kick lumps out of Lionel Messi. The key for United will be swift counter attacks led by Ronaldo. On the other hand, Barcelona need to play Yaya Toure in central midfield and use him to combat fire with fire and be used as a battering ram when they fail to break down United's doubly fortified defence. Henry needs to stick the boot in where it hurts as he is the only one with physical presence in their front 5. Prediction for tonight. If Eto'o is on form then Barcelona will win - otherwise it will all depend on how lenient the Referee is with how United combat Messi.

June EDF Drinks - This Saturday 6th June at The Herne

Besides it's the FA Cup Final this Saturday - and it's illegal to arrange any events that clash with one of the holiest days on the football calendar -
Yes they laid the stones to build this country

Carlo Ancelotti spills the beans on his Chelsea talks with Abromovich from 12 months ago in his new autobiography.. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/chelsea/article6367805.ece Ancelotti on Chelsea talks: ?The manager of Milan is on a secret mission, I, like 007, on my own. Sat behind a driver with the face of a killer." Abromovich: ?Dear Ancelotti, I want to win everything. Everything.? Ancelotti on Mourinho: ?We looked up at the television and there was his Mourinhoness, comparing himself to Jesus. I thought, ?Forgive him his sins, he knows not what he is talking about.? ?

Hmmmm. I suspect that the other posting by misinterpreted that was made 4 minutes after this suspected self-congratulatory endorsement was actually intended as a Private Message to Viper, as it's addressed to an individual, i.e. Hi Viper. The poster, misinterpreted, being new to the forum, may have then gone into a flap after realising their mistake and without realising they could edit the unintended posting has since gone under cover as no future posting have been made by misinterpreted. Of course you could be right in that it was a deliberate attempt by a competitor to undermine the Vale - on the otherhand it could have been a carefully calculated risk by misinterpreted that drumming up any kind of publicity in the cynical east dulwich universe is a good PR exercise.

Now that we have established bad blood doesn't just exist between Liverpool and Man U - is there anyone supporting Man U tomorrow (apart from Mick Mac, Keef, Red Devil and Sandperson) ??

hackney visitors (where to take them out?)

The Vale or EDT both have multi screens, although I'd go for the EDT. -
I guess the Vale is old East Dulwich - a throw back to when landlords / owners had to show a harder line to customers. I only visit the place when I want to watch the Football and have not encountered any issues personally. Beer seems cheaper than on Lordship Lane. I guess the big problem is it's location as it's a bit isolated from modern day East Dulwich on LL.

I don't see Stoke winning any trophies.. although they're worth a shot as our Eurovision contestant with their rendition of delilah

It'll be an interesting one, Robbie Keane returning to Anfield, as it has the potential for much egg on Rafa's face if he scores, and he might get the space if as expected Hyypia and Carragher start together in central defence. I quite liked Robbie Keane, I think he was poorly treated by Rafa and rarely played in the role he'd performed at Spurs. Yes Quids I do think Newcastle and M'Boro will score goals on Sunday - they have nothing to lose now so I expect them to cut loose. Only reason I fancy Hull to deliver is United will not take any risks with CL final on Wednesday.
-
Looks like M'Boro are already down, but can Newcastle escape the drop? I reckon Hull will beat Man U (who'll almost certainly put out a 2nd string team) and Chelsea will beat Sunderland.. which means Newcastle will have to win away at Villa. I think Newcastle will win and stay up as I cannot see Sunderland getting a win against Chelsea. Hull 3 - 1 United Sunderland 1 - 4 Chelsea Villa 1 - 3 Newcastle West Ham 1 - 4 M'Boro

Gillian Watson (I have some post for her)

I reckon she lives in your street and they put down the wrong number on the package. -
red devil Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > > whereas your posts are so objective...what's it > like living in your bitter world?... I've no idea what you're on about Red Devil. Do you seriously think that article about 'Stab City' is reasonable? People are going over there to watch a football match, get a bit of sunshine, have a drink and the media are pumping out crap that will scare the living daylights of their family members back home. If you didn't know better United were off to play a team whose supporters can only be brought under control by rubber bullets. It's so OTT! Few years ago I went to Turin and one friend pulled out the night before because of pressure from his whole family after the media portrayed it as some kind of suicide mission by any Liverpool fans who were travelling to see them play Juventus. The media always like to stoke the fires and it should not just been accepted as gospel just because it's in print.
-
I read that as sensationalist journalism, you'd swear United were off to Bagdad. In other news the Pope has ordered the Vatican to close it's doors after word reached his eminence that 30,000 Red Devils would be invading the Holy City... Fortunately there is no Italian team in the Final which will make a drastic difference. Yes United do have a history of causing trouble in Europe but let's hope they behave out in Rome.
