I think the number of benches on the northbound platform, at East Dulwich, could be increased. That would improve the comfort of commuters especially during the summer months.

I lived near Camberwell Green for 3 months and suffered 4 crimes. I even had my front door kicked off it's hinges one Sunday afternoon. It is a hotspot for alcohol and drug abuse which will drive street crime. Walk through Camberwell Green park this afternoon if you don't know what I mean. Have you never paid a visit antijen? These are factors that barely register in East Dulwich. There is also the Maudsley hospital which deals with all types of mental health problems and it's a fair bet that patients will live more immediately in that area than surrounding areas. There is also quite a proportion of aggressive beggars up near Camberwell Green, again something that does not occur to same level in East Dulwich. All these factors I believe contribute to the much higher levels of violent crime in Camberwell Green, factors that do not exist in East Dulwich and that is why we do not switch on the radio every few months and hear that another shooting has taken place in SE22. I like Camberwell but you have to keep your wits about you.

It's sad to see Southamption on their knees like this, how they have fallen from grace so quickly I don't know. I suspect, although I might be wrong, that it all started to go wrong when they first ousted Rupert Lowe?

Someone said earlier that East Dulwich is the jam in the doughnut, and by comparison with places like Coldharbour Lane, Camberwell Green and Peckham High Street, it is a sweeter place to live if crime for you is not water off a duck's back. However crime does exist in East Dulwich. I don't think we should simply write off CCTV working in East Dulwich just because it's failed in Camberwell Green which has other factors at play. People may consider that CCTV, and other measures, erode civil liberties and freedom of movement, and they'd be right, but that is the price to pay in helping to reduce crime and get convictions. What is the priority, high tolerance or reducing crime..

I was surprised to read that, "Uefa say they would not oppose the Old Firm joining an English Premier League". Uefa have passed the buck to the Premier League, FA and SFA. This is effectively a green light to the disintegration of top flight club football in smaller countries, for instance as likes of Ajax, Feyenoord, Porto, Benfica would soon press for membership of Premiership and La Liga. That sounds great having Ajax in Premiership rather than say Sunderland or Bolton, but ultimately it means a European League in all but name.. is that what we want?

>> It tends to result in things like erosion of civil liberties, 'if you're not guilty you've nothing to hide'-type laws, and intolerance. If it means erosion of civil liberties to nail criminals to the cross then so be it

Ah yes Drogba.. has to be a place for Drogba at the top table... 1) Drogba 2) Ronaldo 3) Adebayor 4) Ashley Cole 5) Berbatov
-
That's why I just kept it to a top 5 ;-)
-
Wasn't Heinze a fans favourite the last one you'd expect to dream of playing for Liverpool!? Nothing worse than one of your star players talking about other clubs... Tevez and Ronaldo talk too much. Same with that Adebayor at Arsenal no class. Top 5 mercenaries in PL 1) Adebayor 2) Ronaldo 3) Berbatov 4) Gallas 5) Ashley Cole

Curry Club - Thursday 7 March 2019 - venue TBC

Very good evening, and the curry was lush... mmmmm :-) -
Someone mentioned Tevez to me yesterday, and my gut instinct was he is a dirty Manc so no thanks! Having said that, Rafa would love Tevez's work rate, so I think he would probably end up on the left of midfield and do same job as Kuyt does on right (but with a bit more pace and skill). Gerrard and Torres is the best strike partnership in Premiership but if anything has been proven beyond doubt this season is that Liverpool need to reinforce their forward line. I think Tevez will end up at Real Madrid.

This is worth taking a look at if you want to compare areas in regard crime - the met police crime map - http://maps.met.police.uk/

That must be one hell of a venue if you are doing that on a Champions League semi final night! Crazy or what!? -
The majority of those 19 he started - although he rarely completed 90 minutes I'd say this is the closest Robbie Keane is ever going to get to winning a League medal.. so with all his family being Reds hopefully he'll remember that when he steps out at Old Trafford on Saturday.. we can only hope :-)
-
"Keane made 28 appearances and scored seven goals for Liverpool" - of which 19 were in the League, that put's him 14th in number of League appearance this season for Liverpool ahead of Sami Hyypia and Daniel Agger.

I've listened to the song by both Susan Boyle and Elaine Page (who she wished to be like), and Susan Boyle is a country mile better... so I don't think people should so quickly begrudge her success.
-
If Liverpool were still to win Title then Robbie Keane would qualify for a Premiership medal.. so not sure who he'd most like to score the winner against this season, United or Liverpool?

The Government could put a freeze on the recent increase in MPs salaries, and also impose a minimum 50% tax on MPs expenses. I'd also like a prohibitive congestion charge on all Trucks / Lorries in every UK town and city from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

I think this Six Nations was pretty poor - I don't think there are any players in that Lions squad that will overly worry the Springboks. I don't see any match winners in the Lions. Maybe if it was last summer with an inform Shane Williams, Gavin Henson & Co but not this year. Unfortunately, I have to forecast a 3-0 beating. Should be Saturday afternoon kick-offs so at least the games can be enjoyed with a beer rather than an orange juice..

Could you now count me in please? -
Another great 4-4.. and I thought Dirk Kuyt was sensational last night, with Yossi not far behind. Liverpool only have themselves to blame if they don't win title. That is 14 points out of 18 against Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal this season. When Liverpool cut loose they're as formidable as anyone upfront - defensively they need a bit more pace at centre half alongside Agger.

It pains me to say it, but 20 years ago in tonight's corresponding fixture (Liverpool v Arsenal 1989) was probably the greatest ever comeback to win a League Championship.. It was a balmy Friday night, at the end of May 1989. Arsenal had to beat the all conquering Liverpool by 2 clear goals at Anfield in the final game of the season (a ground they'd not won at for 15 years) to be Champions otherwise it would be Liverpool crowned Champions.. The game was on a knife edge after Arsenal took a contentious 1-0 lead (but still needing a 2nd goal to be Champions), and with minutes left Liverpool broke down the flank with Peter Beardsley, 20 yards clear down the right wing.. He squared the ball to the unmarked Aldridge on edge of box, but the ball just held up slightly and bobbled. The chance was missed to settle matters... I can still see it now from my Paddock seat on the Kop 18 yard line, as the game moved into injury time. I said to my school friend next to me "in a minute we could be Champions"... then suddenly it was heart in mouth. From no where, Michael Thomas had the ball at his feet and from my angle a clear channel had opened up to run at goal (other end of pitch). Thomas kept scampering along with the ball at his feet, and kept going and going, and going, then he flicked it past the goalkeeper into the goal net.. Head in hands.... Arsenal were Champions

Adebayor and Van Persie not in squad for tomorrow night's game at Liverpool. Alex Ferguson has commented on the game.. "I don't know what Arsene will be thinking about tomorrow but no matter what, Arsenal always try," "That is the mantra of Arsene himself. He is a winner." "Providing they try, it is all I can ask for." "I am not concerned about tomorrow's game, I will concern myself with my own team. That is enough for me to think about."

Well in a 2 horse race, you may get better odds Laying the other horse than Backing the horse you think will win and besides that on BetFair you can limit your stake either way. Anyway, what I wanted to say was, who is being Arrogant now... after the Team he is putting out against Everton in this FA Cup semi final? Answers on a postcard...

This is what I think they are going to build on the site, http://www.dulwichcommunityhospital.nhs.uk/document_view.php?PID=0000000229&DID=00000000000000000175 As for the existing Hospital, I don't know, just hope it's not bulldozed as it's probably the most impressive architecture still standing in SE22. Are you able to elaborate on what kind of health risk, if any, these "dangerous hydro-carbons" pose?
