  1. It was a good game, and I was very impressed with Chelsea, more so than Porto the previous night. Not many teams come to Anfield and push so high up the pitch onto the back 4. They fully deserve all the plaudits.
  2. I think the EDT shows the Rugby, so good chance of them showing the Heineken Cup.
  3. Well, when you have a quality player in your midfield you can do things like that... If Liverpool want to have any chance whatsoever of overturning 3-1 deficit they need to make radical changes in formation and personel. Second leg, has to be 4-4-2. I'd put Gerrard on right flank (injury permitting) to pre-occupy Essien, then give Mascherano licence to play box to box through central midfield. I'd have Babel supporting Torres upfront, and Agger at centre half to dictate initial play.
  4. Very disappointing performance from Liverpool last night. Hiddink outfoxed Rafa with his tactics and they bossed the game for most of the night. I've no complaints about the scoreline, if anything 3-1 flattered Liverpool.
  5. I think United are paying the price for having a weak midfield especially now teams seem to have the confidence to play through United. I'd still expect United to reach semi final simply because they're jammy b'stards but it will certainly be entertaining next week.. But will tonight be entertaining? I reckon both teams will fancy their chances of getting a result in the 2nd leg if necessary so I'd think tonight will be a lot more flowing than on previous CL encounters. Gerrard and Torres will be closely patrolled so that should make space for others to exploit if they're up to the task... this could be the occasion when the much maligned Lucas finally delivers.
  6. Don't be provoked lenk otherwise you might soon be running under the alias ssnk ;-) EDIT - cause of hopeless spelling
  7. When in Duppytown...
  8. Bzzzzzz it was not - rather the sound of a blue bottle, which really does serve no purpose (although I await to be corrected!)
  9. It's difficult to say as I am not sure if his head hit the ground. Looking at the video the guy seemed a little uneasy on his feet even before the confrontation so the assualt, which it definately was from the cowardly cop, may have been coincidental or at least that will be the case for the defence. Anyone know what it said in the coroners report?
  10. Hey Atila, I called the United score correct - time for you to bow to the tipster extraordinaire! ;-) Immediate reaction was "that's taken the fooking wind out of their sails... hehehe" Two great games, but most impressed with Porto who were very refreshing. United seem not to have fitness when chasing the ball - thanks to all those teams earlier in season that didn't both coming out of own half.
  11. I believe someone was hit by a bendy bus, I was told it was bad.
  12. Shocking. Wasn't there a postman who delivered on crystal palace road who was caught stuffing letters back into the postbox, who I believe would often be seen locking his bike outside the Uplands pub before completing his round...
  13. Oscar de la Hoya?
  14. Leaving someone a message (whether by mobile or email) that needs an answer and they don't get back to you... although that is more, perhaps, a slow burning rage!
  15. Yah but at 6 in the morning I don't fancy the trek up Dog Kennel Hill, or giving myself an extra 15 mins waiting for a bus that may or may not arrive in time to catch da train from DH.
  16. The council classify Colyton Road and surrounding streets as Peckham Rye ward
  17. Floyd Mayweather?

I suspect your observations have been made at night when there is a higher percentage of drunks rolling out of the various pubs and bars on Lordship Lane. Alternatively it could be the number of people who go running down Lordship Lane without proper running training and thus are now carrying injuries. I suggest you contact a local physiotherapist for their thoughts on the matter.
  19. Just checked online it is correct. Will get the 37 down to Brixton then tube it.
  20. Thanks for that as I am meant to get a 7 o'clock train from Euston that Saturday morning
  21. The advert boasts it overlooks Peckham Rye Park, not that I've got anything about that particular street but it is a good 25 minute walk to any train station.. but then I guess it's irrelevant, if you do pay that money you'll probably be at home all day in a straight jacket
  22. Villareal 4-1 Arsenal Man U 2-2 Porto Liverpool 5-1 Chelsea Barcelona 3-4 Bayern.
  23. Well it would be for that street as it's double the previous record from 2 years ago. Perhaps it's been recently renovated, or do all houses at that price look as if they've not been lived in such is the flawless decor..
  24. Dunno Xena, maybe it's a Portugese band, as they do seem to be flashing Portugese national colours!?
  25. Yup it is a very long shot and wouldn't recommend anyone using that example as an investment decision as you'd probably be better off putting it all on Porto to beat Man U at Old Trafford Tuesday night!! BTW, the example I used is actually a Societe Generale RBS Warrant not Goldman Sachs.. if anyone interested in seeing how much the RBS warrants fluctuate each day - http://uk.warrants.com/services/quotes/search.php?family=WARRANT&typeul=SHARE&ullabel=RBOS
