  1. Here is a question, who was the first player to complete the grand slam of scoring a goal in the Final of the European Cup/Champions League, UEFA Cup, FA Cup and League Cup AND in the correct order?
  2. Great 2nd half yesterday between Liverpool and Everton, it's a shame but the Reds only seem to show their true flowing football when they are chasing a game... sometimes I wish Pepe Reina played the first 30 minutes of every game with one arm in a sling! That replay at Goodison Park is going to be some atmosphere under the floodlights, believe me!!
  3. I think I know which one you mean, its next to that giant council block and some kind of youth rehabilitation centre - I almost bought a house that was on the corner facing all this but was put off by hooded youths cycling around in circles and laying bricks in middle of road at night... dare I say it but I don't think the fire was caused by a rogue electrical spark!
  4. Annasfield Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yeah and Fowler and Carragher were Evertonians, > but we've forgiven them that. ;-) > > Kenny is a seen as a God at Anfield, doesn't > matter where else he was great first. :) Kenny did his apprenticeship north of the border - after Shankly sent him back north after an Anfield trial in the sixties... but cometh the hour cometh the man, the Prince of Scotland took his new throne as King of the Kop ;-)
  5. I think a football commentator made a throw away line about Jack Charlton as being a man who could have stood and led a united Ireland... also similar line about George Best has been heard but of course he was born in Belfast.
  6. Phil Neal - 77 and 84.
  7. ITV Sport are a disgrace with their camera work for the Portsmouth v Swansea FA Cup game. They had all their cameras no higher than 10 rows back from touchline and not even coveromg near side of pitch. I thought it was a nailed on Swansea win and the kind of potential 'shock' to show the nation - but clearly ITV thought a Tony Adams Pompey team in freefall would have no problem against maybe the best footballing side in the Championship. Sort of sums up their panel of "expert" pundits. Wow, and ITV appear to be rehabilitating their disgraced former commentator Big Ron, in the crowd at Fulham game, by focusing in on him and referring to him as a member of the glitterati! Off to Anfield tomorrow morning, but intend watching Cardiff v Arsenal beforehand which I think is going to be another Cup 'shock'.
  8. Just goes to show the kinda team mate Ronaldo is when he just walks straight down the tunnel after being substituted when it's 2-1 and over 20 minutes still to play rather watching rest of game from bench.
  9. Not focused on customer needs?
  10. Swans flying at Pompey, 2-0 up HT - listening to Sky 0117, sounds like it's one way traffic.
  11. I've had some youngsters doing it for their charity - selling crap like dusters and clothe pegs - and begging for the money when you say you've bought from them before, and they were very aggressive.
  12. Emlyn Hughes Pele Steven Gerrard Ian Rush Kenny Dalglish
  13. Yup with this years Superbowl being in Tampa, Florida they could have kicked off at 3pm local time.. but no that was too early.. I mean we bend over backwards for British sports fans in the Far East by bringing forward our big matches so they can watch and still go out afterwards for drinks... how selfish!!
  14. It'd make a great new bar that location wouldn't it - straight across the zebra crossing if you can't get served in the EDT, or the first bar on Lordship Lane for commuters returning from a long day at the office.
  15. I use Selftrade. Think the commission charge is about ?12. But what I really like about Selftrade is they have only a single quartly charge of ?6.50 for all your self select ISA/PEP schemes.
  16. There is a phone number on their web site...
  17. I'm only predicting 3 results this FA Cup weekend: - Man Utd 1 Tottenham 2 Portsmouth 2 Swansea 3 Cardiff 2 Arsenal 1
  18. It's on both the BBC and Sky Sports this year - although only Sky will show it in HD.
  19. Liverpool apparently in takeover talks with a Kuwaiti family according to various sources.
  20. So if Osborne Stewart have closed down their premises in SE22, where are they now running their rental business, as they'll not close down the existing cashflow from rentals (or renewels) even if they're now operating from a garden shed in Peckham.
  21. Will Fergie believe Honest 'Arry is going to put out a weakened on Saturday to influence his own team selection? It's only Man U v Spurs anyway so I'll be watching the Ospreys teaching Leicester how to play Rugby Union on Sky Sports.
  22. I think it should be the true cost of processed foods full stop. They are no good. You've only got to flick over the box and see the ingrediants to see they're often pumped with various unknowns that you won't find growing down at the farm. I'm not saying I don't eat cr@p but what I can most definately control is what I buy at the supermarket and that is natural produce not synthetic foods like sausages, pork pies, microwaved curries, kiech, lasagnes etc.
  23. Hooray for tip top Tottenham Hotspur the greatest team of the year, Bravo to honest 'Arry for his tactical masterclass
  24. Two nil - a shock on the cards? I hope not as it'll spoil the final.
  25. Some cracking FA Cup matches this weekend, it looks a real good 4th round draw. The game that stands out for me is Cardiff City v Arsenal - I think that could be a Cup classic. I think Wenger will be making a big mistake if he puts out a youthful team. As for any shocks, well I think that might be down at Fratton Park where I think Swansea can beat the Cup holders Portsmouth in their own backyard.
