Yeah - made me think twice - already had a glass and half of wine before it started, promptly stopped, don't want to end up under a bridge. Its the most convincing protrayal of an alcoholic I have seen.

spurs are trying to buy our best player scott brown. But would be nice if you let us keep him until we beat arsenal.

I knew someone would come forward with that line Woof.

I used to have girls in my little black book. They tended to switch off the lights.

I'd suggest those who are in the EDF also "add a league" with Matt's new number and then everyone will be in the Super Liga. I'm not aware of anyone promoting the EDF league this year but could be wrong. I guess those who have registered a 2008/2009 team at work or elsewhere have automatically been registered under EDF if they were in EDF last year. They just need to add the new league and we will all be in the same place? Hope that gets general agreement? I'm sure we all want to be in the same league. I have backed Cardiff Matt and also Ipswich. I have backed Colchester too - no team that scores 7 goals can bad surely. And there is a Celtic angle with Paul Lambert (European Cup Winner with BD) as manager.
-
Have joined the FF too.

Jeez - Woods birdies 16 and Harrington is running up about a 7 or 8 - its virtually Tiger's title. Glad I hedged but great 3rd shot for Tiger and Harrington really messed up.
-
Tiger went 5 under for the front nine to move from -7 to -12 to take a 2 shot lead but Paddy has hung in there and is back in the lead: Paddy -11 Woods -10 Paddy's the only golfer who can handle Tiger on the final round. Have had a small hedge on Tiger now that his odds are lengthening but its Harrington for the big win.

And where would that get us Amelie? Does your day end at 11.00? Does everyones day end at 11pm? or just yours? But more importantly, they have lost a manager SP.
-
Have backed Harrington at 1.9 to hold off the Tiger charge and win the Bridgestone tonight. So much for the 3 shot lead - Tiger eagles the 2nd.
-
Same here Brendan but for skateborading substitute golf and for Africa substitute Margate.

I have backed Championship: Ipswich (backing Keane to succeed) and Cardiff (Dave Jones a good manager) Lge 1 : Colchester (Paul Lambert a former Celt starting off on the managerial ladder gets off to good start with 7-1 win) Premiership - very difficult to call - any of the top 4 could win it. Think Arshavin could be the new best foreign player for Arsenal. Chelsea not sure what Anciolotti will achieve, too risky to bet on them (as with Scolari). MU will miss Ronaldo and don't think Owen will make up for that, Liverpool can win if they can keep up their form from last thinrd of last season when they were more attacking. With all these uncertainties it seems its best to wait until a few ganes in to see how they start. Scotland - the odds on Celtic are too short but believe they have better players than Rangers and Mowbray will hopefully get better from them than GS. 1.8 a bit short though unless betting big.

So does that mean noone is going to the pub Anna? I can't make it either i'm afraid, but look forward to a night out watching footie soon. Also here: Community Shield

I think I've already spent 500k on drink. Lets see: How much would that be per week? Age now 42 - 18 = 24 years * 52 weeks = 1248 = ?400 per week. Well may be not, but I might do the 500k by the time I'm 70. Especially if the price of beer in ED keeps going up the way it is. We now have the ?3.50 a pint in Franklins, and thats just a normal bar.

Danstable I don't think its "failing to switch lights off". Its making am impression with lighting. Would you also ask them to switch off the advertising displays at Picadilly Circus. Sometimes lighting can be impressive.

Matt - I am not and was not talking about a badge of honour - Celtic have a gold star on their shirt ..... Arsenal do not. But if Arsenal win a European Cup I'm sure they will add one in the same way as Aston Villa, Forest, Celtic etc. Well done to Liverpool on their badge of honour.

6am bin collections - Friern Road and surrounding area
Mick Mac replied to Judy2's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Its partly to do with whether Friern Road always has to have the 6am Saturday morning collection. Why can't this be spread around more fairly. They also annoy me by collecting from school roads at children drop off time. They just could not care less. I suspect by midday these bin collectors are at home and having the afternoon off because they started so early and sped round all morning waking everyone up at 5.30 on weekends and making sure children don't get to school on time. If they don't want to collect the bins at times convenient to local residents then they can pass the job to someone who does. -
I think it looks nice and bright - just right for the Strip. I'm for innovation.

I think Celtic have a fair few good players though and I hope this comes to everyone's attention soon. The defence is stronger than last year, but I agree its a bit weak but Arsenal will get a bit of a surprise with the strength and pace elsewhere. Arshavin is the most talented player of the 2 teams, and I would be worried about him (lots).

CELTIC HAVE WON 25 OF 35 HOME EUROPEAN MATCHES SINCE 2001 - LOSING ONLY TWICE. A tribute to Celtics home record in the Champions League The thought that Arsenal will run Celtic off he park where the following have all lost is laughable: Losers are Parkhead since 2001: Lyon, Juventus, Porto, Benfica, Barcelona, Manchester United, Stuttgart, Valencia, AC Milan. (oh and Liverpool at Anfield). And all this with a team of players that could not get a game in the premiership - suggest you make use of the edit button Matt, your credibility is at stake....
