For traditional English food I think franklins is the best restaurant in the area and as quids says the herne can get overrun with kids. Franklins is white table cloth type restaurant and not cheap but if you want something reasonably formal it is excellent food.

Mine is golf. Aged 16 had only played parkland golf before. My dad drove me up to the north Antrim coast for a comp I was playing in and via the coast road we came round the corner and looked down on royal portrush golf club as it snaked through the dunes. An incredible site for me and I will never forgot the feeling of excitement and anxiety it filled me with. My dad has passed away since so if I recall it now it always is tinged with a little sadness too as I guess most memories are.

My first attempt at being serious lounged so quickly. Ill never make any serious yards in this drawing room place.

In a similar fashion to who is the stig we will all search for the identity of this "chair" person. I will commence selling "I am the chair" t shirts and these will sell like hot cakes in Ed and its borders. The search will gather apace and journalists will be drawn to Ed from far and wide. This search will grab the imagination of a nation .... [ I don't expect this thread to be lounged as it is a very serious topic and should be treated as such].
