Likewise I like to see Rangers win in Europe, as it helps strengthen the image of scottish football, which is weak at the moment as both clubs have financial issues. And its best when Rangers and Celtic are both strong. (Would not want to see Gers go the whole way and actually win a euro trophy though.) I think Celtic will have a lot of support for this game, being the underdog, and I hope if they do not win that at least they do themselves justice and give Arsenal a bit of a scare.
  2. LIverpool beat Celtic on Pens in final of World U19 tournament Well done Liverpool youngsters.
  3. I second Richard Dawkins - simple uncomplicated thinking. Thst for me is a deep thinker.
  4. Woops - someone is out of line.
  5. Surely one Atila is enough for any forum?

  7. I will buck the trend and hope to be there!
  8. the seller pays the estate agent to get the best price on a sale the buyer has no contract with the agent. Sellers choose foxtons despite their selling commission being one of the highest. And yes brendan you may pay more if you buy through foxtons. But thats difficult to confirm.
  9. Ok fair enough but at some point MC may get a big signing. Something big is brewing.
  10. Probably true Jah, but never say never. It would be an illogical choice for him to make - but agents always have a vested interest in players moving and can encourage these things to happen. Nevertheless it shows the ambition of City, in their search for a high profile player.
  11. LATEST: Manchester City are ready to pay ?150m for Lionel Messi, according to Spanish newspaper Marca. The world record bid would eclipse efforts to sign Kaka and Samuel Eto'o earlier this year and follows reports at the weekend that City were trying to guarantee a first refusal should the Catalans ever decide to sell the Argentina superstar. 12. That was last year Matt when a poor Rangers team truimphed over other poor teams. This is a new season and one trophy so far, closely followed by Liverpools under 19s being sent the same way as Real Madrid and AC Milans kiddies, crying home to their mummies tonight for trophy number two....
  13. CELTIC Under-19s will play English giants Liverpool in the final of the prestigious Villarreal Youth Tournament tonight, Tuesday, August 11. The young Hoops secured their place in the final for the first time after a dramatic 2-1 win over the Japanese national side on Monday. Having already secured wins over Real Madrid and AC Milan, it was another huge scalp for the Bhoys ? who will now take on Liverpool in Tuesday?s showpiece final. Celtic went in to the game with Japan knowing that a victory would take them through and produced the goods, with goals from Declan Gallacher and James Forrest sealing the 2-1 win. The final kicks off at 8.30pm on Tuesday night. More reaction to follow on the official Celtic website.
  14. Arsenal play the footie language of passing Celtic play the footie language of goals
  15. As in playing the role of the little guy....
  16. Ah, you are back - good. Arsenal are big favourites for the big game, as expected. Celtic >3/1 to get through. But we like playing the little guy.
  17. I for one much prefer the Foxtons to the old social security building that used to be there. I think its good for ED. There is a lot of Foxtons hatred about and I don't understand it - if you were selling a house they are probably the best at getting a good price, thats why they have been successful. As regards lighting, I'm hoping the rapid emergence of wind/renewable energy will fill the supply lost through finite sources, so in general I don't concern myself too much about energy issues. Some solution will be found.
  18. Yep Sean - there's only one Charliecharlie .....oops
