A party at P Pulse softplay is ?45 for 15 children IIRc, if you do your own food. Easy, they get well worn out running about then 45 mins to eat. Staff are good

You do see dads at the one o'c club

Even if your child needs to wee outside, there's no excuse for throwing the wipe on the floor! Sometimes our son will wee against my car wheel, occasionally against a tree. It can be very hard traipsing out of the park to find a loo when you have other small children in tow, and many places are impossible to get into with a double buggy and I wouldn't like him going into a toilet alone, but we seem to manage without inflaming the sensibilities of passers by too much!

One you can rock with your foot, is good (esp if you have twins!) -

I think it's less embarrassing to explain about sex to a younger child, actually, as they just accept it and don't think it's dirty.. I can imagine broaching it out of the blue with a more worldly child might be a bit excrutiating.

We have a linkadoos seat that reclines well. It's not a swing though, just a seat/rocker http://www.boots.com/en/Fisher-Price-Link-A-Doos-Infant-to-Toddler-Rocker_24903/?CAWELAID=334488811&cm_mmc=Shopping%20Engines-_-Google%20Base-_---_-Fisher%20Price%20LinkADoos%20Infant%20to%20Toddler%20Rocker Tenner from ebay it was -

I think planning out meals for the week, doing an online shop etc is a great help. Also a good calendar so you can look at the week ahead (child needs to take cakes into school Weds, need to post card to SIL by Thursday, that sort of thing) and then put in your bag things like bills to pay, calls to make, as lunchtime at work is a good opportunity. Every night before bed I think of the next day and if there is stuff to remember (kung fu outfit to go to school with DS1 etc) but esp anything one off, I get it ready and put a post it note on the front door to remind me in the morning

The Bridge by Sydenham Sainsburys is nice, no slides but shallow with steps http://www.leisurecentre.com/centres/10/home/The-Bridge-Leisure-Centre.aspx Very quiet there and easy parking! -
I have explained about tampons and sex and death all to DS1. He threw me a curve ball when I was unlocking the front door one day with a lot of shopping by suddenly saying "The seed and the egg that makes a baby, how does the seed GET there, mummy?!" All my preconsidered ideas just fled and I found myself blurting out the truth, shock horror, I menat to say something about special cuddles and instead I said the seeds squirted out of the daddy's willy...oops.. he was only 3... I expected a knock on the door from someone or raised eyebrows at nursery but I think he has largely kept it to himself (luckily)

I am not so sure it's good advice to avoid the subject. I think it's normal for children to go through a phase of being very worried about death. I think they need to be able to share their fears Badgers parting gifts is a lovely book we have x http://www.amazon.co.uk/Badgers-Parting-Gifts-Susan-Varley/dp/0006643175/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1284750295&sr=1-1-spell

Fuschia replied to Lochie's topic in The Family Room Discussion
It's more bad for the community in general, is my understanding, as if not all the bacteria are killed off, the ones that remain (and can infect others) are likely to develop an immunity to that antibiotic and superbugs eventually result... -
