  1. If you google the EDF a phone number appears. Who does it belong to?

Lovely people. The Rye Hotel was a good place for a summer beer in the garden. Not seen anywhere with a fire although I think the Old Nuns Head might. and they do a lovely Sunday roast.
  3. I can't make forum drinks but this is due to a night of heavy drinking in Brixton so I shall be equally as handicapped as the next man (or woman). I think a EDF contingent should be present. Any takers? Don't make me name and shame you!
  4. So, Saturday it is then....what time?
  5. Hehe...that brought back some good(?) memories Piers, nice one. There should be a thread of threads...you know, where all the juicy stuff is kept. Fancy a trip to the Enemies of Reason? That was good for a giggle/argument a while ago. Whatever happened to Huguenot?
  6. Off the floor...they get terribly drunk you know.
  7. Haha....you've opened a can of worms there Raquel. See here: Northcross Road debate/argument The general consensus is that it is pretty good. Merchandise includes: Butchers van Cured meat stall Photographer Furniture Books CDs Coffee Bread Salad-type foodstuffs Fudge Clothes & Bags Jewellery Plus a few other odds and sods. Plus you have all the shops on NXR as well.
  8. Just did my work sweepstake and got Italy...same as I did at the World Cup. Fingers crossed the result is the same.
  9. Brendan just reminded me of this: Bo Diddley - Bo Diddley (RIP)
  10. Saw This Is England last night and loved every minute of it. A great cast of minor English actors all deliver ster;ing performances and Meadows captures the early 80s superbly. Thomas Turgoose is amazing for a kid and Stephen Graham (of Snatch fame) exudes real menace. A brutal tale of friendship and family. Quite brilliant. Oh, and Dead Man's Shoes is most definitely worth a watch. Proper scary, like.
  11. Oh ffs this is ridiculous. No one (including me) is attempting to stifle free speech or curtail your "rights" as a citizen or any of that bollocks. What a few people, including myself, have objected to is the rather unpleasant tone some of the discussion has taken. When you sign up to the forum you agree to abide by its rules which clearly state (see Sean McG's post above) not to use threatening language - something that has been happening in the two previous posts on this matter which the Admin has sensibly decided to lock-down. Christ-on-a-bike, it's like in here.
  12. I liked both of those MP, but the Jim Corr thing had me giggling at my desk. The man should stick to what he's good at - being the butt of incest jokes.

It has nothing to do with freedom of speech Seanmlow, merely civility to others - both those being talked who cannot defend themselves and other users here who find it all a bit unpleasant. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
  15. I have every sympathy as well SteveT but have to wonder whether, given two previous threads on this topic have been locked due to the excess aggression shown towards these people whether the forum is a suitable place to discuss the problems. There seems to be a tendancy to get very militant which leaves a nasty taste in one's mouth. Edited - see below.
  16. Tire shop will be Franklin's owned organic (green)grocers-style shop much like their Kennington version as I understand things. Seasonal produce and the like.
  17. Jim Jeffries enlightens us About 1min in. Probably NSFW unless you have headphones.
  18. Round of applause for you and your band mates Keef. Excellent night. Apologies to anyone who encountered me that night, however. A pretty drunken sight. I blame one particular fellow who shall remain nameless!
  19. Quite right, young Moos. Glad to see someone has standards around here.
  20. Dashing?! The man appears to have a carpet under his shirt. And what's with the Clark's shoes? Where are his jungle boots and pith helmet? This is slap-dash at best. Bloody colonials. Honestly, you leave them to run a country and look how they end up dressing.
  21. There are people in Devon on less than ?10 a year. Good grief, does Bob Geldof know?
  22. Unfortunately for Brendan, little does he know he was captured by an undercover photographer on his way to work this morning... http://www.sillyjokes.co.uk/images/dress-up/fancy/mens/value/adventurer-safari-g11073-big.jpg Any big game this time of year?
  23. My morning news bulletin described his aim as "spending the rest of his life trying to unite the world's religions" - so nothing too challenging then. Meanwhile the current brooding inhabitant of no10 is calling random members of the public at 6am to discuss their problems. One didn't listen to his electorate, the other is getting them out of bed to try.
  24. I'd be more interested to see what would happen it the working mens' cafe!
  25. Don't give him any sympathy. He should have learnt with age. I'm still making the mistakes of youth. Like, still drinking on a school night and thinking I can get away with it!
