(Man with camera at fusion fest today)
sophiesofa replied to Becky123's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I think some people have over reacted to Becky's post thinking she's trying to start some kind of anti paedophile riot or something. At the end she says "The man may have been innocently taking photos however I am confused why he wouldn't look through the lens and take them. Why would he hold a camera by his knee, press the button and then walk quickly away." She asked a question to the forum and has been given the answer: shooting from the hip photography. She of course has a right to be cautious of a stranger taking a photo of her child. If I saw someone taking photos of children (no i'm not a parent) in what appeared to be a trying to do it on the sly way I would probably ring the police (not 999) and ask them to look into. It's not like she saw him take one photo then start screaming paedophile. Although I do think the original title of the thread was a bit OTT. -
"Until at last the king commanded" that's the one i just got. I think it's going for discerning types?

You should claim the backlog and throw a party. My contract says i get paid on the 25th of every month and that's only happened 3 times in the last year and a half. It also says if i have any problems i can speak to the HR representative, which would be hard seeing as there isn't one. It doesn't mention that as a graphic designer I'm expected to do everyones washing up and take the rubbish out everyday along with lots of other crap. Sorry I went a bit off topic there I REALLY need to get a new job. -

If any men in East Dulwich start donning pink shirts or those pointy shoes with their suits we know we're in trouble.

am now eating ham sandwich at desk whilst contemplating what my arse will be like when i'm old

have no dead arse-skin flakes as I have a youngish bottom. Am wearing pants and a dress so even if i did suffer for dead arsearitus no fingernail scraping would be necessary.

surly black cab drivers ! (not taking fares to ED)
sophiesofa replied to spark67's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I know it's ridiculous but that's the way I am - i need to grow some balls pronto! No they defintely are not all bastards, just a few bad apples in there. Tipping is one of those things i will always find awkward. My boss gave a cabbie a tip of 20p once and when I realised I kind of ran away. 20p is just insulting! -

> In my > experience stating that they're obliged to take > you where you want to go, politely and patiently - > even before talking about taking the cab number - > is enough to convince the driver that they ought > to do their job. In theory it sounds like a good idea I just don't think I could then sit in his cab worrying how much the driver hates me for politely forcing him to drive me where he doesn't want to go. It would be such an awkward journey and I wouldn't want to give him a tip for trying to get rid of me but i would feel like he expects one anyway. Ahh just the thought of it is making me feel awkward. -
Twitter is a load of twatter. I think it has been overtaken by corporate companies and their tweets. Then again I can't stand the live feed bit on facebook, there's always one or two people who fill the page with stuff i have no desire to know such as james 7:43am I don't want to go to work. james 8:02 Leaving for work James 8:57: Ah i'm at work Jane (his grilfriend) 9:02 I know baby I don't want to be at work either. Who cares!

Problem with property management agency
sophiesofa replied to lfisher30's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Is there no way you (and if applicable other leaseholders) can buy the freehold? It's expensive but in the long run worth it because lots of management agencys are useless and money grabbing! -

What do you think that because we're in ED no bus drivers can live here?! -
Isn't Sarah Russell (the character) in that film where Russel Brand steals someones girlfriend while they're on hoilday? I might have made that up, it just sounds familiar. I'm not mean enough to tell everyone Rebecca's ailments JSW.

Sainsburys - disabled parking - Part 2!
sophiesofa replied to dv1's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
i think that was a bit harsh Ernesto. Do you think his job will really be any harder if he has to walk an extra 10 metres to get from his car to work? He's not disabled and as a representative of sainsburys he should not be flouting his own companies rules. I don't think it's the crime of century but I can see why dv1 was annoyed.
