  1. Nope, sorry. But if anyone knows a Rebecca who lived on Lordship Lane and at one stage threw a Bradford and Bingley account book into a compost bin tell her I now know her account details and also what prescription medication she takes.

It sounds like some boys who were just being silly and didn't think how scary it could potentially be for the other person. Hopefully the police will be able to get in touch with the school and sort it all out.
  3. This happened to me in the EDT a few weeks ago. I think it's probably a genuine mistake, they should refund you straight away if you have the void receipt.
  4. Ew i have an awful image of a boy running along a path with his dinkle out. I think you were right to report it though.
  5. Of course it's cheaper to hire a man no van if you need it for more than 2 or 3 hours. Tell him to stop moaning and get off his bum and drive the van himself.
  6. i'm going off topic here (sorry admin) but there is nothing more annoying than when half way through an intended journey they change the destination. Which is not quite so bad when you have a bus pass or travel card but generally involves forking out for another ticket when you don't. I once stood at London bridge station from 1am until 3.15am and watched about 4 No. 47 buses go past that weren't full and it was blooming snowing. I was so so peeved off and cursed myself for being too stingy to get a taxi.

  8. i'm in bond street and I can't see it from here but on sky news it looks like a big fire. I hope everyone is ok.
  9. I'd take Hugh jackman, the one who plays Strider in Lord of the Rings and erm twister.
  10. Or if you were at my house last weekend it goes something like this 1. Man gets off phone and says "don't hate me but my mums birthday BBQ is now happening here there'll be here in a couple of hours but don't worry they're going to go to Sainsburys on the way" 2. Woman says, we don't even have a BBQ. 3. Man say I'll get them to buy a couple of disposable ones 4. Woman hectically cleans while man has a fag. ... ... .. 63. Mans sisters do the BBQ while woman finishes off salads etc. while man has fag and alcohol.
  11. There should be an ED BBQ off. Womeun rule at BBQs
  12. i've just signed up with virgin tv because there's nothing more annoying than reception cutting out during the good bits. Not sure i'd recommend virgin for customer service but have had no reception problems. Edited because of my inability to spell and also to change my not sure i'd recommend for customer service to definitely not recommend, they have diabolical customer service. That sounds ominous kk, i shall brace myself for the problems.
  13. This using swine flu as an excuse to push a sale riminds me of a few months ago when my mortgage provider rang me up and tried to sell me life and critical illness insurance by using the phrase, "just look at poor jade goody".
  14. I would agree if you did get called but they only text and that really wouldn't bother me. Fair enough though if you've opted out, no need to worry now.
  15. I totaly agree that they must have been a bit 'not quite right' (npt that anyone is right/normal) i just think it's sad (especially for the families of the people who killed themselves) that it's kind of been swept under the carpet whereas the complete opposite can be said for the funeral of jacko.
  16. if cash machines give out an amount different to what you ask for then they in theory take the amount that's spurted out from your account, not what you asked for. So if phillyboy is right and the moneys gone back in then it will not have been taken from the account.
  17. slightly off topic but I think the media is ignoring the number of suicides by distraught fans. There was a tiny tiny article in the london lite (couldn't read it i was peering over someones shoulder so only saw the title). Found this but it seems to have been sort of ignored and I personally feel it's far more tragic than Michael dying. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-News/Michael-Jackson-Reports-Of-Fans-Committing-Suicide-Emerge-As-Rev-Jesse-Jackson-Makes-Online-Plea/Article/200906415323308?lpos=UK_News_Carousel_Region_2&lid=ARTICLE_15323308_Michael_Jackson:_Reports_Of_Fans_Committing_Suicide_Emerge_As_Rev_Jesse_Jackson_Makes_Online_Plea
  18. yes it does have it's flawes. If you had an obscure name and put in London and were in the directory then I think it would work otherwise it will ask you to be more specific about area.
  19. He's like Trisha off the telly, been through it all
  20. A child should in theory never be rung up, it's only if they lied about their age or it's in their parents name that they would be rung. All that happens is you get a text (i think possibly a call) from 118800 saying so and so wants to talk to you, here's his number, your number is never given out. I think it has been blown completely out of proportion. I don't think cold calling will happen because it costs ?1 to use the service.
  21. I've never been down there, looks nice on street map though, it's probably just cheaper because of the postcode. Peckham has a bad reputation that it just can't shake that's all. Go look tonight though to get a night time feel for the area. Good luck.
  22. Cover it in superglue and peer through curtains.
  23. that is awful. I hope none of the original ones were memorial ones.
  24. je0405 you need to pm peckhamgatecrasher incase she doesn't check the thread. She might know where the cat was taken. Hope it wasn't yours.
