Brockley Market will be open today for your ESSENTIAL FOOD & DRINK PRODUCE SHOP ONLY (No Street /Hot Food options will be at the market this week unfortunately). The key government message is ?hands, space, face?. So all customers must wear a face covering (where possible) and keep their distance & follow current ?COVID? rules. Brockley Market?s message is COME, SHOP, LEAVE. All food and drink purchased must be taken away & consumed OFF SITE. No meeting up or mingling please - we ask for a maximum of 1 or 2 members per household to visit for your weekly ESSENTIAL shop. We will be limiting the number of customers into the market, so you may have to be patient & queue to enter the market. IMO it was always likely to be residential or a business. You may have worked this out already and sorry I can't recommend any specific product but make sure you're looking for a Bluetooth device that can transmit. The Alexa is just acting as a Bluetooth (receiving) speaker in this case. Unlikely that you will be able to play back to both rooms simultaneously I would have thought as whatever is plugged into your old stereo is likely to mute the speakers.

I sympathise with you but I fear these is not much that can be done and the level of disruption will really depend on the quality of the builders your neighbour has employed. Our neighbours have been undertaking significant works since May, converting the house into flats. The disruption was/is so bad I convinced my employer to allow me back in the office and I have been working here since early August. My daughter is still working from home and although most of the external works are completed they can still be extremely disruptive and rude. The builders have no respect for the fact that many people in the surrounding properties are WfH. I would advise that you have contact details for (a) your neighbour (we didn't as the building owners didn't live there), (b) the building company and © the council's environmental health dept. If your neighbour is not present when the works start then I would recommend setting the ground rules early in terms of noise and working hours. I have heard of the council acting as an arbitration service to ensure that the builders only work the hours they are supposed to - especially at weekends and adhere to the rules regarding noise - 2 hours on, 2 off. Hmmm whilst I know this is true in some respects I find it remarkable given the abuse of the rules. There's three or four cafes on the OKR between the Bricklayers Arms flyover and the Tesco's that have always had groups of men outside socialising whilst drinking coffee (I assume) early evening. Come the heightened restrictions, they're still there but the tables and chairs have been taken away...until now. Tonight I spotted a couple of them have gotten fed up with standing up so have brought camping chairs along instead. Similar picture in Peckham at the cafe opposite Lidl. Same group of men hanging about there on a regular basis as there was before. Some people are just not going to change their behaviour. One wonders how bad things would have to get before they did.

Went to JS this afternoon around 2:30 - no queue - walked straight in. Didn't get the feeling there was any issues really.

It?s not quite right. The right filter is for those turning right from Dulwich Village onto East Dulwich Grove, not HML. They have also put in a cycle lane on the left using some of the width, which means it?s not possible for one car to head straight on to Red Post Hill whilst another turns right onto EDG.

Re EDG and a cycle lane. Southwark have implemented a two-way cycle lane on a length of Trafalgar Avenue which is a major north-south route from the Old Kent Road to Peckham used by several buses.
