  1. Interesting. The bulletin was issued on 26/8 at 5:20pm, and included data for 7 days up to 24/8 which includes 20/8. That was a bad day in relative terms with 12 cases and the last time we had that many on one day was 1st May. However the number for Tuesday 25th was zero. Total for the last 5 days 21/8 to 25/8 is 24. On balance though the number of cases is increasing, the 7 day rolling average for June was less than 2 per day and July less than 2.5. Of course we could just be testing more people now than then. https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/cases?areaType=ltla&areaName=Southwark
  2. My wife has lost her purse somewhere along Half Moon Lane/Village Way/East Dulwich Grove. Light grey with debit and credit cards and driving license :(. Don't hold out too much hope but just in case... PM me if you can help.
  3. So, with these new restrictions that are basically preventing any non-bus (bus presumably includes Foundation School coaches), non-taxi, non-cycle traffic flowing north to south through Dulwich Village, or from Lordship Lane to EDG, what happens to deliveries ? I don't see any exemption for delivery vehicles so does that mean that will also be forced to sit in the inevitable jams too ? No Uber Eats or Deliveroo during those hours (OK not peak hours for food delivery I accept) but say you were having a new sofa or a washing machine or building supplies ?
  4. A poor joke.
  5. Locking this one too, too many duplicate messages- Admin Elsie Road, Derwent Grove, Melbourne Grove (north), Tintagel Crescent http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/mgIssueHistoryHome.aspx?IId=50023482&Opt=0
  6. Anyone know what's going on with 68 East Dulwich Grove, on the corner of Melbourne Grove and East Dulwich Grove ? The house/flats look abandoned, the hedge is massively overgrown and the garden is trying to escape through the fence.
  7. Interesting note from the Turney and Burbage Roads RA that met with their councillors recently. OHSD (Our Healthy Streets Dulwich)is not formally dead but is suspended with very little likelihood of it being resurrected in the future. TfL do not have any funds for it. The Council is looking at about a 50million deficit because of the impact of Covid19 on revenue and costs. Therefore there is little Council money available for investment in OHSD What is on offer is some money from Central Government for Covid related experimental measures, a total of ?225million across all local authorities on a spend it or lose it deal. There is more money coming in September under the scheme. This is when further announcements will be made. However the decisions will be made before. The decisions are made by Richard Livingstone, Cabinet member for Environment, Transport and the Climate Emergency, in consultation with our Local Councillors, Margy Newens and Richard Leeming. (Note this article is aimed at people in Village Ward) The scheme is for social distancing, active travel and safer environments. Southwark are looking at interventions that cover these criteria but also include pollution reduction. The interventions are under the Emergency Traffic Act and can last up to 18 months and if they are to be made permanent a consultation process has to be carried out. Any intervention can be removed sooner if it is clear that it is unsafe. Link to complete article. https://turneyandburbage.org.uk/category/environment/
  8. But we also need some of these: https://images.app.goo.gl/mPPFXHdhsd9V1rMo7
  9. Mine is now back but who knows how long it?ll last
  10. Seems like I've gained 50mbps (which I didn't ask for) but lost the service. Anyone else with connection issues around the East Dulwich Grove area ?
  11. I'm not given to conspiracy theories but you do end up thinking that someone in that section of Melbourne Grove must really have the Councils ear. They avoided being the CPZ in apite of being closer to the Health Centre and Station than some roads are in the CPZ and now they got a barrier to keep the traffic out. Special treatment ? Who knows.
  12. "if the trial is not deemed to be successful." ...and the success criteria are ???
  13. TBH, I don?t really have a view on this but in respect of feeding animals should I or shouldn?t I put out bird food in winter ?
  14. I think lpool meant no left turn from MG into Ashborne/Chesterfield/Blackwater etc, forcing the residents to enter and exit MG at LL junction. Not going to happen. Whole scheme is idiotic.
  15. On the other thread when I asked about emergency services James McAsh's response was: "Yes emergency services need to be consulted before any measures like this are put in." Sounds like they haven't been consulted yet.
  16. @sally buying - reposted from other thread: "Covid-19 - Post lockdown highway schemes" http://moderngov.southwark.gov.uk/mgIssueHistoryHome.aspx?IId=50023147&Opt=0
  17. "But, isn?t it a coincidence that many of the measures they wanted to implement long, long before Covid just happen to somehow be exactly the right ?Fix? for the current situation?" Spot on. This is opportunism of the worse kind dressed up as listening to concerned residents. The 70% number is meaningless and shouldn't be quoted as justification unless it was achieved fairly and can be thoroughly audited. I presume the emergency services are OK with this btw.
  18. @klove - basically yes. @Penguin68 - is that official advice your giving ?
  19. I give up, I'm not giving a running commentary. ETA 10:05 22/5
  20. @rollflick - For me it's showing on the Status Page when I login to the VM Portal.
  21. ETA for the fix is now 10:00 on Friday 22/6
  22. Virgin Media Broadband down around Troassachs/Glengarry Road. ETA 4pm for a fix. Not so good for those of us WFH.
  23. I'd also be interested to know how many residents of these street are 100% practising social distancing themselves. How many have children that have been out with their mates, how many have been for dog walks with friends, how many have had the odd evening drink with neighbours... There are lots of streets that are in a similar position to those mentioned. It seems very odd to cherry pick a few for special treatment. Almost as if there is a hidden agenda. Wasn't the whole CPZ thing based on a disproportionately small number of residents requests that happened to fit with the councils agenda ? In spite of James's post saying "The council is considering 'permeable filters' on certain roads.", this survey is not a council survey, it's a councillors survey whereby if you fill in the contact details you're granting permission to be contacted by the Labour Party. There is no way on knowing how the information provided will be used and whether or not council officers will give any credence to the results.
  24. What names do non-Posh children have ? You never hear of a Steven or Angela any more.
