  1. There is quite a good cycle route to avoid the roundabouts. Hang a left at Amelia St, right on Crampton, through Newington Butts estate, across Kennington Park Road where there is a designated cycle crossing light, down Churchyard Row, left and first right and then you're on St Georges Rd.

  3. I'm not entirely sure what your point is TLS.
  4. I'd take DKH over Wally Rd any day
  5. is it not the excessive amount of credit available to us a major part of the problem? People living way beyond their means? Surely a rise in interest rates would be better. It would mean people would continue to save and put more of their money into savings, thus funding the banks. I understand that banks need to lend to each other (or do they?) but as far as the rest of us go wouldn't it be better to encourage judical living? grammar edit
  6. what's the problem with DKH?
  7. shouldn't this be in the petty annoyances thread? What is the point of this thread anyway?
  8. The US can't afford another war at the moment. I reckon a lot of this financial meltdown can be attributed to the amount of money spunked on the 'war on terror'.

  13. I don't think we can say that wanting children is inherently selfish. Our basic instinct and reason for existence is to reproduce. That's not selfish, it's natural. That's not to say that not wanting children is unnatural, just that as humans our level of reasoning and choice has evolved a little more than other animals.
  14. Yo Sushi are giving away 5 free plates if you buy 10 (easily done) for a limited time and Pizza Express are giving away 1 free pizza when you buy 2 until 19th Oct. Vouchers available on the respective websites.
  15. Living in a refugee camp in Darfur. Losing both children in a house fire. Being in Guantamo Bay with no idea if and when you'll get out. Being on death row for a crime you didn't commit.

  17. I think it needs to be done through a work server
  18. Is Dulwich Park over-rated? Seems very under-rated by everyone here. Personally I like it but then I don't like to conform.

  21. I was going to suggest that there is a maximum of say, 5 books brought as otherwise we end up with a big pile on the table that no one wants again. Last time a couple of good souls volunteered to take the unwanted pile to charity as everyone else had left and we didn't feel we could just leave them on the table. Either that or take away the books you bring that don't get taken by anyone else, or make sure you take away the same number that you brought.
  22. Blimey, just google imaged Neil Stuke, if he works in there I'll be there every day!
