Close, it's a Foodhall, not that there's much difference between the Foodhall and Simply Food stores.
  2. I went on the P13 which has a completely different diversion route. From Goose Green up East Dulwich Road, Peckham Rye, Forest Hill Road, Wood Vale, Melford Road to line of route towards Streatham. Towards New Cross Gate, the bus serves the first bus stop on Underhill Road, then as above.
  3. I was fortunate to ring 306 Medical Centre on Thursday for an appointment for today (Tuesday).
  4. On the other hand, I received a letter from Helen Hayes today which was posted on Nov 21st which arrived today.

That's for that segment of the works along by Whateley Road. Another board had works by Goodrich Road on Monday.
  6. In the last week, the post has improved dramatically here. They must have finally got the extra staff out on the streets.
  7. There are no buses running along Lordship Lane between Goose Green and Dulwich Library from Monday to Thursday this week during the day as the resurfacing work continues. Same diversion route again via East Dulwich Road, Peckham Rye and Barry Road. This time it also includes the P13.
  8. The third location is in Catford.
  9. Conway are now working between Overhill and Melford Road.
  10. It's the same for the 40. Starting at Goose Green.
  11. There were no roadworks today in LL. I suspect Conway will be back in the morning to do the other side of the road between just past Court Lane to Friern Road.
  12. The works started today from just before Friern Road to just past Upland Road. Route 12 is starting from Peckham Rye and Route 40 from Goose Green.
  13. The last time LL was resurfaced between Melford and Overhill, they did it all overnight in 2-3 nights I think, allowing the road to flow normally during the day.
  14. On the items I like to buy, the LL store is either sold out or no longer stocks them. It's easier than going up to Kings to buy them at the new ED Station store.

I?m trying to recall whether the 185 is > one of them. Perhaps their usual coordinator is > off! The reliability of the 185 has been bad in the last couple of weeks. The tracker has shown gaps of 15-20 mins between buses towards Victoria. It'll only get worse when the roadworks at the Grove end of LL starts on Monday.
  16. nxjen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Wasn?t the bus stop outside Chener Books, south of > Goose Green, the first location you could catch a > bus going north at the Zone 2 price? The northbound stop was 2/3. Southbound was 3. The bus stop in East Dulwich Road was 2. I'm not sure if the stops on East Dulwich Grove were 2 or 2/3?
  17. nxjen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Boundary of Zone 2 used to be somewhere between > bus stop outside Truly Scrumptious and North Cross > Road It was the Goose Green roundabout that split Zone 2 and 3 in ED. So the Ondine Road bus stop would be in 2 and Goose Green in 3.
  18. There are no parking signs from Dukes Court to just past Overhill Road from Monday on LL. There are also two roller machines parked up on that stretch of LL.
  19. I was impressed with the range in-store when I visited this afternoon. They were giving away reusable bags and still surprisingly fully stocked!

  21. The 176 to Tottenham Court Road can easily take 80 mins from The Grove end of LL as it gets snarled up at The Strand, changing drivers at Camberwell Green or complying with Southwark's 20mph zone which has also helped to slow down an already slow bus route. 185 to Lewisham is also too long winded. The 484 at Goose Green or the P4 from the Wood Vale end of LL are much faster.
  22. Some other options, Southern train from Forest Hill to Victoria via Crystal Palace can be faster than the 185. You can also change at Clapham Junction for Vauxhall. P13 to West Dulwich from The Grove bus stop to West Dulwich, then Southeastern into Victoria.
  23. The 20mph speed limit and part of the route being on the South Circular Road doesn't help the 185's reliability. Incidentally it is timetabled to run every 8 mins, the 176 is every 10 mins and the 197, every 12 mins. In future, to ensure you reach Vauxhall in good time, change at Camberwell for the 36 or 436.
  24. Shock horror! Amazon posted a package via the Royal Mail on Thursday and turned up this morning.
  25. Another thought, the P13 to Tulse Hill, then Thameslink to St. Pancras Intl.
