Like the constipated mathematician? (She worked it out with a pencil?)

Sorry about that. Anyway, I had a question: when the long arm of the law reaches the elusive Dulwich Dumper, what is the penalty? Is it the same as not clearing up after your dog? Assuming that he manages to avoid a charge of indecent exposure.

I used to rub my cats nose in her mess if she did it where it's not welcome... Maybe we could do the same to this fellow

This may very well be an unintended consequence of the gig economy - fill suburban roads with self employed delivery drivers and cab drivers, working long hours, with no public lavatories (much) any longer, and often at times when alternatives (caf?s and pubs etc.) aren't open and emergencies will occur.

Maybe we could do something about it

Like raise NI contributions a bit to employ a cleaner.

I live off Woodwarde Rd and just returned home to see a man (late 60s, white) coming out of the alleyway having urinated against the wall and left a large, steaming pool of it (he could have used one of two drains but didn't). As I didn't see him actually do it I asked if he saw who did as I now have to clear it up. He denied all knowledge but clearly there was no other reason for him to be there as it's a short passage ending in a security gate. Disgusting, selfish behaviour. Unfortunately not the same man as in the OP's picture or I'd send the police the photo I have taken of his car number plate.

I saw a pile of what appeared to be human extrament left totally exposed close to the corner of Underhill/Barry this morning at about 7.30am. Shocking behaviour when a public lav is just a brisk walk away in the park. I've never been so caught short that I couldn't wait, and even if god forbid that did happen, I'd rather 'keep it retained', than expose myself in the altogether on such a public highway. Disgraceful.

    • Thanks for the suggestions! If the Angel Oak is the pub on the edge of the Rye, it's probably not too far, but there might be more central (to East Dulwich) pubs to try first. No way will Nyge and I  ever  go to the Cherry Tree again, sorry. We had the most appalling Christmas Day meal there,   which cost us nearly two hundred pounds (for two people) without drinks. Our detailed complaints were never properly addressed, and my last email to the manager was never answered.
    • Looking for an iPod - preferably a classic - with at least 60gb storage.  Anyone have one hiding in a drawer? Thanks.
    • Sorry to have missed this one but hope to make the next.  Re suggestions, is the Angel Oak too far?  Or the Cherry tree
    • Not strictly a new place but new to me: stumbled across a fabulous cocktail bar at 210 Rye Lane - we loved the gorgeous, eclectic interior, they make any cocktail you can imagine and will be doing small plates. Think it's called XOTO? opposite the Tesco express at that end of Rye Lane.
