No peer pressure though ladies, I have a wide selection of herbal teas too!! PM me or MC and we'll give you address and more info.Anyone else booked onto Parent education at Dulwich hospital this Tues? I bunked off last time as went to NCT classes but as I've forgotten everything I've decided to give them a go. I'll look out for Winter babies faces!!See some of you on Thurs. mothercourage
What time is the parent education class on tues...?And thanks for hosting the seminar MM - a far more taxing role than organising! I fear I might be a bit late as my partner has just announced he's away on business that night so start without me and I'll get there asap. I'm going to attempt to bake some brownies (prob from a packet).E x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17972-winter-babies-club-due-dec-2011-janfeb-2012/page/14/#findComment-497441 Share on other sites
missmack1981
Classes from 6:30pm for 2 hours for the next 3 weeks... Elliot's refusing to come so will look like single mum!!Good luck baking things.. sounds too adventurous to me. It was finally my turn to cook tonight as have been shirking any cooking responsibilities for about 2 years... I bought a 'cook me' stir fry from Tesco. whoopsie ULTIMATE in LAZINESS. It was gross too... so at least I'll never be asked to cook again!Well if beautiful daughter will sleep in a spare bed you're welcome to put her to sleep here... although it may turn into a 'hands on' project for sleep expert!Otherwise see you when you get herex Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17972-winter-babies-club-due-dec-2011-janfeb-2012/page/14/#findComment-497451 Share on other sites
littlemoo
Sadly my husband has a night out on thursday so I wont be able to come. I must say that given W was a dreadful sleeper I would very much like to attend in the hope that the next one might not be waking hourly at 8 months.... If I can find a willing sitter I will let you know. My cooking skills seem sto be deteriorating.. I see nothing wrong with a pre prepared stir fry. At least it contains vegetables! Peelietta
Hello allI'm a first-time mum due on 28th Dec. We moved to south London in August so I know nobody in the area. While I probably can't make meet-ups until I finish work (end of Nov) I'd love to join in and meet some of you then!Peelietta Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17972-winter-babies-club-due-dec-2011-janfeb-2012/page/14/#findComment-497915 Share on other sites
missmack1981
Hi peelietta, Congrats! Good luck with the final weeks for work and look forward to seeing you at a meet up soon.I'm sure those who attended will agree that the Sleep seminar delivered by Nicola was brilliant! I found it so interesting and informative and would totally recommend it to anyone else who's interested in hearing about babies sleep patterns and solutions.Content was practical and unbiased (lots of 'routines' explored), pacy and crammed full of information!!I will be forwarding her details onto a couple who are possibly interested in hosting another session but her website is www.childsleepsolutions.co.uk if anyone else is interested.Big thank you to Emma for organising and baking and to Nicky for also baking... UmmmmmmHoping to make it to the Actress again next Thurs so hopefully have a good catch up then.Have a good weekend.. Checking out TeaDance for Little People tomorrow morning if any Mums with toddlers fancy. millymoo
Hi all, I totally agree with Anna. The sleep seminar was excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of doing it.Thanks to Emma and Anna for organising it and for the lovely brownies and cup cakes baked by Emma and Nicky. They were scrummy. Look forward to seeing you all on Thursday at the Actress.Sal Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17972-winter-babies-club-due-dec-2011-janfeb-2012/page/14/#findComment-499230 Share on other sites
tomo
Ditto above. I found the sleep seminar really useful. Hopefully I'll remember it all by the time baby arrives! But if not I have the comprehensive handout to refer to. Well worth it to get an overview of approaches. Thanks to Anna for hosting in your lovely home and to Emma and Nic for the tasty baked goods. Hopefully see you on Thurs, but planning on doing the maternity ward tour at Kings beforehand (in case we do have to transfer, I want to know what we're going into!) Pickle
Sorry ladies, but Thursdays are still out for me due to hubby's sport.Hope you're all well. My cholestasis has flared up (I've had it in both prior pregnancies too), so life at the moment consists of lots of blood tests, midwife visits and trips to the MAU, not much fun. On the plus side, I can't believe how quickly the weeks seem to be passing - not long now!P x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17972-winter-babies-club-due-dec-2011-janfeb-2012/page/14/#findComment-500735 Share on other sites
millymoo
Hi ladies, Sorry I wasn't able to make it last night. We've had loads of friends and family come to stay with us over the last few months and it seems to always coincide with our thursday group. I've looked ahead and no bookings at 'Hotel Cassidy' for a fortnights time so will definitely be at the next one. Wiff Waff, I hope you weren't left on your own. Apologies if you were. IButcher
Hello,I hope you don't mind me posting on your thread, but I was hoping one of you might be able to help please...I am doing a psychotherapy training course which includes doing a baby observation, so I am looking for a baby to observe! There are several other similar requests elsewhere on this forum, and a friend of mine who is pregnant and lives in East Dulwich (I live near Brixton) suggested I could try posting on here (she is only due in March and ideally I need a baby born a bit earlier than that in the next couple of months). The observation involves observing the development of a baby from as close to possible to the birth until their first birthday, to watch and learn about its mental, psychological and emotional (as well as physical!) development, and how it relates to the world. The observation happens at home at a regular time once a week for an hour whenever is convenient, and mum and baby should just do whatever they would normally be doing anyway. The observer is not there to offer any advice or intervention at all, but purely as a completely neutral observer.Previous mums who have taken part have also found it a very positive and enjoyable experience. If you might be interested or would like to know more, please give me a shout!Thank you!Isabel Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17972-winter-babies-club-due-dec-2011-janfeb-2012/page/14/#findComment-501540 Share on other sites
missmack1981
Hi allOh Steph, I hope you weren't the only one last week... Hectic week at work and numerous late nights = no play time for me:( Pickle, I hope all's ok with you!Just to let you all know that some 'friends of friends' set up their own photography company recently and have a special offer photoshoot for ?20 including free print. Additional prints are reasonably priced too... I had a maternity session and a session with Daughter (blondie if you go into client viewing page under Anna) and am sooooo happy with pics!!http://custardcreamphotography.com/or search on Facebook to see my gorgeous little Ava too!!I had maternity shots first time around and am so pleased I did as (believe it or not) you do begin to forget what the bump looks like!! Anyway I promised I'd recommend company... Hope to see people next Thursday.Have a good week everyone.. and bumps!Anna Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17972-winter-babies-club-due-dec-2011-janfeb-2012/page/14/#findComment-501568 Share on other sites
mooncake
hello - I've been a bit awol. Couldn't make it last Thurs unfortunately as had last hypnobirthing class. Due date is starting to feel a bit imminent now!I've been told about sea salt caramel crepes at this place and am keen to try: http://www.rabotestate.com/boroughmarket_cafe.htmlNot sure if anyone might fancy / be able to go along one weekday from 5th Dec onwards? Figure I should still be okay to venture as far as London Bridge that week... bee74
Hello everyoneI hope you are all doing well. As my due date is fast approaching I have been thinking of doing a hypnobirthing course to refresh my memory since last time. It really helped first time round, but I admit I forgot everything!Would anyone be interested? We could arrange it in a similar way to the Sleep Training evening. I am happy to have people around and share tea/cake/wine... The person I am thinking of who could run the course is someone from my NESTlondon.com site called Kirstin Hayward. Depening on how many are interested we could discuss possible dates, times, and costs with her. Let me know. Also, since the Sleep Training was apparently very good, would anyone else be interested who didn't attend the first one?Thank you.
