annt
Think jayd5 means Chandelier as Mrs R. hasn't replaced Jerk place. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1817-mrs-robinson-boutique/#findComment-52029 Share on other sites
dc
Oh yes it has (well the pantomime season is approaching fast). It's in the old Jerk Rock location, next to the closed tyre shop and diagonally across from the 'old' Mrs Robinson which is still there. ceefer99
I've visited the boutique, which indeed has replaced Jerk Rock, yesterday, as I need a new winter coat. The two sales personnel were really friendly. The prices are boutique prices, so hey, expect to pay a bit more, probably similar to Liberty's!I didn't get a coat there but there is a lovely little swing jacket that caught my eye... very Audrey Hepburn ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1817-mrs-robinson-boutique/#findComment-52846 Share on other sites
EDmummy
Went into Mrs Robinson for first time today. Absolutely lovely clothes but all teeny sizes. I am by no means large but am curvy and I struggled to find anything. Money was burning my pocket but there was absolutely nothing. Size 16 is the average size for a British woman. Shouldn't we all be able to buy beautiful clothes! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1817-mrs-robinson-boutique/#findComment-52873 Share on other sites
buggie
oh dear, was hoping this place would be different - thanks for the heads up EDMummy. Is so disappointing that so few places in ED cater to sizes 16/18 - white stuff and sainsburys are the only ones that spring to mind :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1817-mrs-robinson-boutique/#findComment-52892 Share on other sites
macroban
I wonder why their target customers are size 12(ish) or less.Seems a strange business decision. buggie
... wouldn't be so sure - I've been running since feb (well, intermittantly - have to stop to eat/sleep/work etc) and only got to 18-14 size (depending on the top/bottoms!) Also very attentive and helpful sales assistants and so I had a very pleasant shopping experience.
