Cool story bro. So how do I go about expressing my support for the new M & S?

Er I live in Peckham Rye Ward and Lordship lane is 10 minutes away and is therefore my local shopping /Eating street. I'm Glad Renata is taking an interest. I seem to recall James going on about Streets of Forest Hill Road which are far further from his ward than I live from LL. Ofcourse when James is doing it is for the "common good" or some such, and when Renata does it it too far for her to be involved. James please stop your hippocritical squabling.

Good try the-e-dealer. However, your basic mastery of posh stuff like grammar, syntax and spelling mark you out as someone who has serious issues with your selfs, and thus you do not merit a reply. Just be happy eating impossibly cheap food that massively increases your selfs chances of cancer and other serious health problems.

Hm, some of the very junior members need to restrain themselves I think.

See what you started Politicians?

Back to M&S - what are the timescales? When will be able to buy our Butter and Raisin Cookies on the very door step?

I'd like to know how much Payless charge for 8 orange flavoured lucozades? Bet they can't beat Iceland. And do they sell veggie burgers and other veggie things for ?1 each?

I hope Iceland stays and any local trader who thinks that an M&S will bring more business to the area must be barking mad. Who would want to drive to ED to shop there when there is so little parking space?

Why are most people focussing on what Brand the new store will be? It will remove 17 car parking spaces and increase car parking demand. This will have a huge negative impact on the local streets. Please consider this and consider putting in comment to the Planners.

Losing respect for James Barber - are you serious? It's 10 mins walk max.

That aside, interesting that you feel you are with remit to comment on issues on Forest Hill Road (the road that borders Peckham Rye common) but you deny that the Peckham Councillor has any right to have a say as its "so far away from the area they represent". Are you having a laugh?

Hi trinity,

I've been away for a few days. I've just reported the Pelican crossing on forest Hill Road for not working.

Weird that TfL should blank you. Can you please email me your experiences and I'll then forward that to my TfL contact asking how they'll improve things for future helpful citizens.

What I am on about is that currently Iceland has a car park with 17 spaces. The proposals will have no car park. Given this parking is used at 100% capacity on a weekend that puts more demand on local roads for parking. We need a balance of parking demand that also meets residents needs. I don't want CPZs as that hits the traders.

MP you're wrong about CPZ. Whilst the smug admirable will walk or even jumpp on a bus and find it impossible to believe many people from SE21, Se24 and Se23 just won't bother popping down to LL if they can't park that easily anymore, it's not that much of a draw and our local independents struggling on thin margins can't survive on SE22s fit, worthy and mobile alone. Peckahm and Walworth Road are relatively recent shopping areas they used to be more socially (and retail) diverse before teh CPZs abd parking nazi's puty off the significant 'lazy' indifferents

The 17 parking spaces is a stupid Red Herring agreed. I live right by both Nortjcross and although it;'s bit hectic Saturday lunch I can always park at least one street away,

    • Fantastic Personal Trainer  I can’t recommend David highly enough! From the very first session, it was clear that he is not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but also genuinely passionate about helping his clients achieve their goals. Every session is individually tailored to exactly what I need – whether that’s strength training, mobility work, cardio, or just a good old-fashioned sweat session – David always delivers with the perfect balance of challenge, encouragement, and fun. What makes David truly stand out is his attention to detail. He takes the time to understand your personal goals, fitness level, and any limitations you might have, and then designs each workout to suit you perfectly. No two sessions are ever the same, and I always leave feeling stronger, more motivated, and more confident. As a runner, he designed a specific strength training plan which has really helped with my long distance runs.  The flexibility of training either outdoors in the local park or in his well-equipped studio is another huge bonus. Whether we’re breathing in fresh air under the trees or wokring through a circuit inside, the environment is always welcoming, focused, and positive. David is a true professional and a fantastic motivator. He’s helped me transform not only my fitness but also my mindset, and I’m so grateful for his support and guidance. If you're looking for a personal trainer who genuinely cares, knows his stuff, and brings great energy to every session – David is your guy!
    • I can confirm people are feeding foxes locally, & all across London. The problem isn't so much whether they're being fed, but rather what they're being given. Unfortunately, a lot of the food offerings aren't suitable for foxes, which is why we see the kind of unpleasant evidence left behind. In many cases, people are feeding not to encourage foxes, but to treat foxes for mange. Left untreated, mange is fatal, & it would be cruel to leave any animal suffering. The treatment is often provided freely by both large & local rescues like the National Fox Welfare Society, The Fox Project, The Fox Angels Foundation.... & is backed by the RSPCA in what is known as target feeding, in a compassionate effort to administer life-saving medications. In other cases, it's an effort to lure & totally relocate the fox(es) to a safer environment. If you are having serious issues with foxes (outside the realm of them simply existing) you can contact Fox-A-Gon  (Non-lethal fox control). "Foxes are protected under a series of wildlife protection laws. Poisoning, gassing, asphyxiating, maiming, stabbing, impaling, drowning, clubbing & most forms of snaring are a criminal offense, with anyone carrying out such acts subject to 6 months imprisonment and/or a £5,000 fine per animal."
    • adding one more review below! We contracted Nick and his team (https://broughtonbespoke.co.uk. 07815873373) to custom-build two bespoke cabinets: one large and complex L-shaped unit for the living room, and a smaller one for the dining room. As we had just redecorated and both cabinets would be in prominent positions, it was important to us that they looked perfect and matched the style of our rooms. Nick and his team did a fantastic job — from clear communication and timeliness to the quality of the finished products. They took great care in the construction, and while the process took time, the results were absolutely worth it. In our case, both cabinets were designed and built on site, after which the outer shells were taken away for professional spray painting – the whole process took about two weeks. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I would not hesitate to hire Nick again and wholeheartedly recommend him and his team for any job — whether simple or complex, large or small.
