Hi everybody,

I've been totally rubbish at getting to meetups so far, but my little boy arrived on the 19th. I'm slowly shaking off midwives/inlaws/family etc and hope to get into some semblance of a 'normal' life soon...

My toddler is home from nursery on a Tuesday so somewhere to go would be brilliant, I had thought I might try Tumble at the Alrighton Centre on Tuesday mornings, but I haven't been there and don't know what its like. Its for over 2s but she is well able to handle herself. Ideally I'd like somewhere she could be self sufficient so I can chill with the newborn! Also my mil will have her on Tuesday mornings every now and again as well (not sure how this will work/how regular it will be).

Looking forward to meeting you all soon! Hope everybody is doing well.

Yup - we go to Tumble at the Albrighton centre now and again and it would def work for us. However not so sure it is a great meet up for those without a toddler to bring along (seems a bit of a shame to pay ?2 and make no use of the facilities - also no coffee on offer!)

I just phoned up and they are open during half-term, anyone up for meeting this coming Tuesday??

I would definitely be up for Albrighton tumble (never been) as it is very handy for my house and next week my daughter is on Easter hols from nursery so will need entertaining!

Going forward it ounces like it is less good or those without toddlers etc (or whose other children are in child are like me for much of th week) as no Cafe etc. I ave yet to get as far as Dulwuch park but sounds as if the cafe may be more suited?

Otherwise, I saw on another thread that a pub called the Clocktower is hoping to do drop in mum and baby sessions every morning which might be another option and nice and warm! Might try contacting them as they might be tempted to get on with setting it up if thought a regular group would come

Anyway hope to see people on Tuesday at whatever venue decided upon

Jennie - lovely to hear from you and I am practically on maternity leave and would love to pop by ... Or see you at a meet. Stillundecided re buggy!

Supposed to be a rather nice day tomorrow so perhaps a meet up at the Dulwich park cafe is an idea! That way everyone who would like to join can join. I will be bringing a 2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old (oh joy!).

Can I suggest 10am or is that too early?

X

Hello,

Firstly, sorry for seeming to think everyone would want to meet at soft play - not really thinking that one through!

I knew I wouldn't make dulwich park, bit too late for me as toddler sleeps at 12. Didn't make it to Tumble either..... But did leave the house. It's day 1 on my own with 2 babies, (bye bye baby moon, it's been fun.....!) so feel like ive achieved something!

Next time....

Hi ladies,

Tumble would be great for us, haven't been to date as I work Tuesday but off as of two weeks time with my nearly two year old.

I'm not due until the end of May so get the feeling that most of the babies in the group will have arrived by then too!

X

Morning ladies,

I'm new to spring babies and the east dulwich forum for that matter. So hope I'm doing this correctly. My first baby is due in early May and my midwife recommended I check this forum out now that I'm on maternity leave. It would be lovely to meet up as this is my first baby and chat about pregnancy and all things that is baby stuff! It's a lovely new experience but it would be nice talking with others going through the same things. Really just to get out and have a coffee, as my city work world has just ceased and it'd be nice to get involved in my E.Dulwich home world! Hope I'm also in the right forum and wondered if the group were meeting up anytime soon (next week?) and if you meet regularly? Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi all,

We haven't made any meet ups yet - found it difficult to get out the house with a huge bump and a 19 month toddler once mat leave started. However, my baby boy arrived last week! Looking forward to getting to a meetup when we are able to get organised enough to get a newborn and toddler out at the same time! Would also be v keen on any meet ups at toddler groups to keep my 19 month daughter entertained.

Good luck for those who have yet to give birth! Looking forward to meeting you all soon x

DEC charities and their local partners are now preparing to scale up their work in Gaza after months of extraordinary challenges delivering aid.   Food, water and shelter are desperately needed throughout Gaza.   The levels of need are catastrophic. Please donate now.   More than 2 million people, all of Gaza’s population, are facing extreme food insecurity. The UN-backed global hunger monitor, the IPC, confirmed in August that famine* is now a reality in parts of Gaza for the first time. Following the ceasefire agreement, safe access for urgently needed humanitarian aid is expected to increase, and DEC charities and their local partners are preparing to rapidly adapt and expand their programmes again. Donations to the Middle East Humanitarian Appeal are providing urgent relief to families in crisis.   Please act now to help people in desperate need of emergency support, with food, water and shelter.   We have seen what can be done during a period of ceasefire in Gaza to repair water supplies, reach the worst affected people and get emergency supplies to those on the brink.
