Not sure if we can do the 6th as we have something booked in and a second booking hovering already which hasnt been confirmed...

Anyhoo I will watch the thread and see if that's definitely the day and see what we can do..

Strawbs and Jaws :))

Oh and Im easy on location as havent been to either...

Mike I get the impression that The Vale is still owned by the same person, but that Darren is the new manager, and is trying to make positive changes. I have been a strict NTVer for about 4 years now, for the same reason as Mockney. However, I think it might be time to review the situation... Besides, the Black Cherry, which everyone, me included, rates amongst the nicer classier local drinking establishments, played host to a dirty big fight which saw someone get his head kicked in on Saturday night, so bad things and idiots can be anywhere.

Thanks so much everyone, i had a truely lovely first forum drinks! Plus it has been so nice this weekend to bump into faces we know out and about!

6th June is my birthday so I will be playing elsewhere (as will d_c I hope, suggesting the herne was obviously entirely selfless!). See you all in July and hopefully before.

Uh-oh. :'(

Been off posting recently, and similar anti-social behaviour at drinks, just hid in a corner and didn't really give the newbies a proper welcome, so sorry all. Will be much more chipper next month.

If annaj says she's free, then I spect that means I am too! :)-D

bad man.. BAD man MP

I'm happy to go to either - but having coined the phrase NTV it would appear that I might favour the Herne, but having seen all the discussions before the Mag was decided and then seeing Darren from the Vales' posting I think it deserves a chance. Before it's too late ;-)

    • Please bring this to Dulwich Village - we only have cafés and chain stores and could really do with some retail dynamism ! There's so much disposable income in the area, but so few good options to spend it.

    • That's absolutely disgusting. If it's true they should have closed the shop until it was fixed.
    • I have read conflicting accounts, some say the Peckham Rye pond chelonians are fresh water turtles others that they are red-eared terrapins. As well as terrapins, there are reports of Musk Turtles, a non native, fresh water turtle species also being released into the wild. They are also better equipped to survive our winters and do not seem to need to bask as much as terrapins. Perhaps we have both. I have not been able to see them close enough to observe markings.
