rifleman harris
In Rogers Profanisaurus the entry for Yummy Mummy is as follows:- 1. n. A middle aged woman worthy of a good seeing to, eg. Helen Mirren. 2. n. A young mother with a fantastic arse pushing a buggy. rifleman harris
I would have substituted Helen Mirren with Stevie Nicks myself. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3048-ed-mummies-you-need-to-relax-lounged/page/5/#findComment-96336 Share on other sites
Cassius
Without sounding mean (but it does) I think Helen Mirren now in her 60's would be delighted to be called middle aged! SimonM
The third season of "Rome" was actually made some time back and called "I, Claudius" by the Beeb.:))Not sure really how a third season would have worked with so many of the better characters killed off - and in such spectacular ways too!But the Ian MacNeice character was tremendous! Guest
Apparently middle age is officially from 42 to 65, or maybe it's 68. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3048-ed-mummies-you-need-to-relax-lounged/page/5/#findComment-96405 Share on other sites

Cassius
I always say there's plenty of time to be middle aged when you're old - but appreciate that is still very subjective. Brendan
Well if you intend on only living unitl you're 70. Personally I'm aiming for at least 120. Jah Lush
I've programmed myself to self-destruct at 81. I don't really want to live much longer than that and feel it's a perfect age to bow out at. However, I might feel different about it when I get there. It'll largely depend on my mental and physical well being. I feel another thread coming on here.... Moos
My dad always said that once you get to 80, you can do and say whatever you like, because you've earned the right.
